like i said, your knowledge of performance brakes is very limited. they are purely for looks on stock cars because people want the looks. one of the corvette engineers straight told me that. i'm not talking about cracking with street driving i'm talking track driving. doesn't matter what brand, drilled, cast, dimpled or even solid rotors they will all crack. the slotted or drilled rotors will crack before the solid rotors will every time because they are stress risers.

Apperently very little when it comes to performance brakes. Slotted and drilled rotors will crack faster than solid rotors. It's been proven over and over they do nothing for you as this isn't 60's technology pad material anymore that no longer out gasses. Also you claim of 30* is invalid because there is more factors your not accounting for other than just a rotor swap.

That would be a downgrade in performance but upgrade in looks.

Buy the cheapest rotors you can find with a good brake pad. That's what all the road track guys do.

stay 2004.5 and newer on the dirtymax trucks and there isn't much to worry about.

Yes. It's a long term fix but it also makes it super easy to steal your car so I don't recommend doing it long term. Also you don't have to buy new keys just the vats sensor.

Ohm the chip in the key, go to radio shack and buy the same resistance resistor, install resistor in the orange wire with the black connector to the dash harness side of the connector not the column side (its a orange wire coating with two small white wires in it also don't cut the wires), start car. you may or may not need to relearn theft mode. if that works then you need to replace the VATS sensor.

Lol, I weld in a t-shirt and no helmet since its mostly spot welding. Once you get a nice base tan you won't get burnt any more haha. The worst thing I've done was gotten flash burn on my eyes. It's sun burn on your eyes that you can get from welding or from being on the lake when it's sunny. If anyone ever gets it cut a potato in half and put it on your eyes over night, works like a charm.

Does anyone currently have off their car a set of long tube headers for a C5/C6 vette, CTS-V, 98+ F-Body or GTO? I would like to test fit them on my camaro to see what I can buy off the shelf. Willing to buy lunch for letting me use them and wouldn't take more than a half hour.

you had nothing on the vette and if you want to take the challenge you can run against the TBSS. Gary Nolen took the challenge, he beat me by .25 seconds in his vette :gabe:

i have no turbo and own you all. just throwing that out there.

you should toe the rear IN 1/32" to 1/16" to help the car rotate in turns. you want the front towed OUT to correct ackerman angles when turning, 1/16" to 1/8" should be your max. the most important part is that both sides are the same. if your a bigger guy and super anal about being perfect then you should have the car aligned with your body weight in the drivers seat.

build block off plates for both ends and fill it with compressed air then heat the dent and around it. be careful or you can blow the pipe apart. used to remove dents all the time from dirt bike pipes this way.

clear doesn't burn off. i have no idea why but it holds up better then the high temp stuff.
