  1. well i did say we needed to start it and center the wheel. if it wasn't for the idle at the time we would have. we can fix that this weekend if you want to. ooohhhh you have a LS1 GTO? then yes you need the LS7 flywheel as well. thats the clutch i put in my camaro and corvette.
  2. call in and set it up. the rear trans seal won't need to have the transmission out though. i can get you a good price if you have't got one already, all you need is a disk since the flywheel is the same. well our new service mananger is more willing to do what ever it takes to get people in the door. how is the handleing now that you have gotten to drive it around more? well me and the other guy are both ASE Master Certified along with GM C6 certified. both of us can do anything to those cars from nose to rear. there isn't much i don't know about those cars and i can find what i need to know if i don't already know it. i have heard storys of mcdorman thats also some of why we're wanting to get this rolling because so many people have had poor service from them and have no where to take a vette that have people that know what there doing. who is your cousin? i used to work at dave gill and i still know a few of those guys that work or have worked there. Larry that works there is who i worked for when i did school to work in high school.
  3. we are at $88. the same as NTB IIRC. i will see what he says as a package though.
  4. i have all the part numbers for that already, i'll run that by him. i also have the C5 T1 suspension package parts too.
  5. well its not really modding, its more an upgrade. and if there GM parts than whats different than replacing a defective one?
  6. this is aimed more to the corvette owners on the board but i guess could apply some to the other GM lines. me and another tech at work who also works on vettes (there is two of us) were talking and we both would like to see more of them come into the shop. i have run the idea past my service mananger and he wants to talk to both of us tomorrow to see what we can coma up with. what would you like to see a dealer offer service wise? we are already going to talk about installing performance parts and setting cars up for autocross and road tracks as our alignment machine will take custom specs. other than just the stock settings. is there anything other that i can make some notes of that you would like and would being you into a dealer to have work done? if you did bring it in it would be either he or i working on it, unless you just want me to.
  7. same kinda person that autocrosses a laser.
  8. ahh yes. beach is a good guy as well.
  9. In general, the belt is either permanently linked, fed through the weapon, and subsequently pushed out the other side of the chamber, or the links themselves "disintegrate", or break apart after firing, as the cartridges are integral to the design of the belt. think of the links as clips that hold the rounds together in the belt. thats where they got it. there are two types of belts.
  10. i can, Ricart chevrolet.
  11. i think you have mis read what i have said as there is no e-battleing that i see. i know no one in this thread has said clip but there have been other times in other threads that people have called a mag a clip. i was just giving a heads up for an "if" this happens to use the right term for the right part. as for me and copperhead we are just talking, no butting heads on this end.
  12. your dealing with cloging fuel injectors and possible intake gaskets. there are an updated gasket for the flex-fuels, i can get you a part number if you PM me. an injector flush with GM's new injector cleaner will more than likely take care of the stall along with a throttle body cleaning.
  13. this is true but you are getting too technical on just one gun that its that way on. a lawyer would try and make it look like it would be on all guns, what ever would make you look bad. A clip is a device that is used to store multiple rounds of ammunition together as a unit, ready for insertion into the magazine of a repeating firearm. This speeds up the process of loading the firearm as several rounds can be loaded at once, rather than one round being loaded at a time. Several different types of clips exist, most of which are made of inexpensive metal stampings that are designed to be disposable, though they are often re-used. The term clip is commonly but erroneously used to describe a firearm magazine, generally a specific type of magazine known as a detachable box magazine, or even a firearm belt. These uses of the term are incorrect; a clip is typically used to load a magazine, while a magazine or a belt is used to load cartridges into the chamber of a firearm.[1] An exception to this general rule is the moon clip (see below), which is used to load rimless revolver cartridges directly into the chamber.

  20. the best deals always come after you already have bought something.
  21. no they are for loading the guns magazine. just a speed loader. Stripper clip Main article: Stripper clip A stripper clip or charger is a speedloader that holds several cartridges together in a single unit for easier loading of a firearm's magazine. A stripper clip is used only for loading the magazine and is not necessary for the firearm to function. It is called a 'stripper' clip because, after the bolt is opened and the stripper clip is placed in position (generally by placing it in a slot on either the receiver or bolt), the cartridges are pressed down, thereby 'stripping' them off of the stripper clip and into the magazine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clip_%28ammunition%29#Stripper_clip
