  1. clucters are common, but the BCM is more common and that just so happens to control the lights as well. you may get luckey and just be a switch, i haven't replaced one for that though.

    the 3 hour question

naw, but would you be pissed if i put the same cam and heads on my car and made more horse power? you know cause your car is 4 years newer and has a bigger engine and all lol.

    the 3 hour question

voltage output, and since it will rev faster it can affect fuel trim tables and pos. MAF. i think i am going to try and get a speed density tune just for that extra little edge on track haha.

    the 3 hour question

there was a 10% one. i got this for free brand new in box so i didn't really have the option of the 10% one. i am aware of the voltage issues, good thing the car has a Red Top in it. but how offten is it going to sit at idle and run for more than 20 mins anyways so i should be good to go.
  5. find me and i'll take you for a run in mine.

    the 3 hour question

    25% underdrive crank pully.
  7. do i put my underdrive pully on before i have the car tuned? i think yes but my lazy side says no. the only thing is it will rev a little faster because of the smaller size so that could change the a little on the tune and i need it to be spot on to help keep the life of the engine from going down the drain on high RPM driving.
  8. my dad used to get rental cars to teach police driving in. death toll: 5 tow truck bills 1 burnt to the ground 2 engine fires 200 belted tires 13 flat tires from being worn through 16 melted hub caps 3 tosted transmissions uncountable warped rotors not too offten can you look through the wheel of a crown vic and see a glowing rotor lol. additional coverage is worth it, when we had the fire and mechanical failures we called them and said we had car trouble and they brought us out another car haha.
  9. get a rental car for the day lol.
  10. if its a 4 cylinder they cost about 1600 from a junk yard
  11. its getting close to that time. less than a month now.
  12. what ever it takes to makes you sleep at night haha.
  13. i have seen the same thing with green coolant. my mom had a 96' lumina with a 3100 in it and dad changed the coolant to green not long after we bought it since the place he got the oil changes at then topped off the over flow with green. well since green and orange don't mix he got rid of it all, flushed it out and filled it back with green. low and behold the intake gaskets took a shit about 88k and it was the same as it would have been with dex-cool.
  14. Noe Bixby between main and broad is nice for a quick test drive after alignments on vettes lol.
  15. then maybe you shouldn't argue with people that have more hands on than you.
  16. QFT! side note, what cars do you see with dex-cool that has "caused" a problem. chances are thats its a 5 year old car or has over 100k on it. now green coolant is a TWO year antifreeze as it will collect more electrolytes and cause electrolysis. i have 5 cars here right now that range from from 7 years old with 75k to 6 years old with 130k and all of them have had no problems with dex-cool because it was changed at about 120k on the one and 73k on the other. no leaks on any of them
  17. dex-cool is not the problem. if you would think for a second, hmmm....plastic gaskets.....hot and cold and hot and cold. what does that do to plastics? makes them brittle.
  18. i never said they didn't have problems. i do think you need to be around more cars before you say ford has a good suspension, engines and transmissions and all GM's need intake gaskets.
  19. have a younger hot sister?
