    WTB Ls1 e-fans

    what would one be willing to pay for a set of fans off an 02 SS with 28k on them? i am still debating on weither or not to use them so i can't say for sure i will sell them yet.
  2. you can also look at Hooker Super Comp mufflers, they may look like a regular muffler but i can see threw them and i have a off set inlet and a center out. the center in/out you can see stright threw them too and only dropped a 406ci small block 1 horse on the dyno vs. open headers, thats impressive in my book so i put them on my camaro.
  3. pulling tractors don't have full exhaust, neither do turbo drag cars. then again i don't see you out flowing 3 inch exhaust even with more upgrades on your car. if you think you have a problem you could put a subway tunnel under the car (4 inch pipe)
  4. go to jeg's and get a dynatech muffler sound very bad ass, i think there like $75 quites the sound quite a bit and there is no back pressure, think mild steel Borla.

  8. you can use DEX VI in all years but not the other way around and thats shits expensive.

    the new LS3

    it looks like 500hp is the new 400hp for GM cars with simple bolt ons and a tune. with an agressive head/cam package i can see 600 horse easy. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=745977

    F.I. LSx ???

    i've talked with kurt a few times, he's a pretty nice guy. what kind of reliability are these block lasting with that much power? i'm looking at long term since my car will never see a drag strip because of my rear axle only autocross, road courses and long hauls like the power tour. right now the engine is putting down 399 at the wheels with heads cam and intake in the next year or so i will be adding the magnacharger and it comes with new fuel rails and injectors, now knowing the block will take more i'll be able to turn the boost up from medium bad ass to full bad ass:D

    F.I. LSx ???

    i put the twins on the shelf when i got ahold of the LS1 since that block won't take 1k horse. i have a fuel safe fuel cell and they have a kit that keeps everything in tank and clean. good thing everything aeromotive makes is submersible. i think i'm gonna go ahead and run the 6 AN, i did some more searching and there are some people getting 800 horse on fuel injection and superchargers so i'll be safe.

    F.I. LSx ???

    those of you that are running F.I. on your LSx engines what did you do to your fuel system? i searched on LS1Tech.com and found most people say run 8 AN with 2 pumps and some say 6 AN is fine but they also said 2 pumps. the system i want to run will work just fine on my bolt on mod engine but when i throw a magnacharger on i don't want to have to upgrade the fuel lines. the pump i'm looking at is a Bosch 44, 72psi and 200 GPH. and it has 6 AN comming out of it and running that to a corvette fuel filter since its internally regulated and i won't need another regulator then 6 AN to the engine and 6 AN from the filter back to the tank. i did find one guy that was running the same pump threw the stock lines on his 01 camaro and was threwing down 650 rwhp so i think i'll be good. Edit: this should have been posted in the tech section, my bad.

  19. mark VIII fans are a popular fan to use. alot of junk yards have them still. also impala and venture van fans pull alot of air.

    update as of 7/2

    i still have them but with a stock LS1 block i didn't see the point in dicking with it all and having to keep it turned down to keep it together. maybe at a later date or on my next project. its prolly going to get a magnacharger insted.

    Tranny help

    sounds like you should check the fluid to see if its full and is dark brown/black and has a burnt smell to it.

  23. i would go delco, if you come over to pick up that air dam i can show what you need to take off. i've never had to replace the wire harness on one and the gaskets are reuseable aslong as there not cut or damaged.
