Found this ... http://www.cityviewtrolleys.com/boston/index.html seems they run all day, have stops all over the city, and you can just get off then hop on to another one when youre ready. I think we'll do this tuesday, maybe hit up sam adams brewery wed bc its suppose to rain. really bummed about the sox not being in town, i dont care who they were playing i still would've gone. Fenway itself should be a historical landmark, if it isn't already. The first day we get in at 10:30am, i think we'll hit up the park and freedom trail that day try and find a local watering hole as well.

After looking them up, all of these items are within walking distance of our air b&b so we'll probably hit up most of them. I did find a groupon for a drunk history tour of boston but when I tried to book it they only offer saturday and sunday tours...wtf? I guess it makes sense most people visit on the weekends. Wanted to hit up fenway event though I'm a yankees fan, they're playing all away games that week.

Starting my vacation week with 4 days In Boston, I believe our Air B&B is in a neighborhood called "Back Bay"? Though i could be wrong on that. I know Im going to look like a dipshit on a segway but the lady wants to try a segway tour.... Also considering looking into a Sam Adams brewery tour, and considering some sort of historical tour as well. Any other Must See things or activities I need to check out while I'm there?

I've seen that car parked on the NW side, off sawmill and hard road area. flashy, kinda hard to miss.

I have a similar outlook when it comes to NBA, i only pay moderate attention and only in the playoffs but even I wanted Cleveland to beat the warriors bad. I was at Buckeye Country Fest in the shoe Sunday night (or I probably would have watched the game) and they had the game on the tv's in the concourse, my buddy ignored the show and huddled around a shitty tv with what looked like at least 100 other people. He's got a video of the moment the won, its pretty crazy.

You literally hit every question I was going to ask. 1. You seem successful now, Why not keep your current situation until you make "fuck you" money? 2. I can't imagine a daycare NOT having insane margins. My GF is a preschool teacher in a well known daycare. Knowing what the licensed teachers (not just aides) make and what the daycare charges, add to that what kind of overhead are they looking at, the profit margins have be good. 3. While you seem intelligent in several areas, you're going to have to hire a really talented admin for your daycare who knows that specific business model through and through. A back round in HR will help a lot with your employee interaction but anything past that? Personally I consider franchise owners as self-employed. Maybe not entrepreneurs but small business owners. You still took as much financial risk as anyone else who started from the ground up without a franchise license. Is the apartment complex a build out or would you be purchasing a preexisting complex that's just for sale?

Park. Seriously, kids have open spaces to run around (also assuming there's a playground area) and adults can grill out. There are plenty of games you can play, cornhole, flip cup... i mean... something suitable for children. I would assume renting a park shelter house would be cheaper than having a party at some of the places mentioned?

I had this same conversation with my Gf the other day. In all honesty i'll probably buy a minivan at some point regardless if I have kids or not. Yeah they're boring but they just make the most sense and they're the most practical for what I would use it for. Get a mini, fuck the stigma that comes along with it.

Will be looking for a cheap sofa in a few months

I'm moving in August, getting rid of my microsuade sectional (tan in color). $300? -
I think he was trying to straighten out the wheel so he could drive away when he realized that wasn't going to work he just ran.

If all of your neighbors really hate this guy just convince everyone to park their cars on the street in front of their own homes at all times. See just how far he will be willing to walk before he gets the clue. And I have gotten a ticket for parking within 6 feet of a driveway entrance in columbus before. If one of his cars even comes close call it in. After a few $70 dollar tickets it will get expensive for him to park on the street.

Ha I've actually thought about doing this just for shits. Never know if you're at a wedding and the officiant doesn't show up, could come in handy. Church of Latter Day Dude sounds like my kind of organization too.

I work part time as an event supervisor for Hoggy's Catering in Cbus. While we're located here we do events all over the state and parts of Kentucky as well. I'd be remiss if I didn't suggest our company to cater your event. While I can't (shouldn't, really) quote prices I don't THINK we charge a premium for out of town events but that could be dependent on guest count and other variables. That being said, you can call around to local catering companies and most will accommodate an out of town event but some might charge a fee, same goes for a photographer or officiant. Something to keep in mind when shopping, it could be more convenient to shop local for your? Goodluck.

There's a guy on my hockey team who's going through something similar with his daughter. She wanted to go to an expensive school (Case Western) for pre-med to eventually become a surgeon. He said that's fine but if you change majors I'm not helping with any costs. To him it was all about his return on investment in her future. If she changes her major to Interpretive Dance Theory then his ROI is shit, and who knows if 1. she'll be able to get a job out of college or 2. even be able to make a career out of it her new major. You can look at it the same way, if you know she has the inclination to be lazy then your ROI in her education will be shit. Who's to say you cosign for a $10,000 loan and she drops out 6 months in or spend HALF of that JUST on living expenses or a new TV for her and her bf's new apartment together? Just something to think about it, i hope you the best.
-
true, however I THINK they take into account the type of schooling and/or actual major you're persuading so that might be a hindrance to what she's aiming for also. Personally, I would make a commitment for some sort of cost of schooling and nothing more. Say you'll provide her books and/or supplies (shears, clips, all the things necessary to do her job) but anything past that she has to take responsibility for. You've offered her to live in your home which would save her hundreds of dollars a month if not thousands over the course of her schooling so that's pretty substantial. And I totally agree with not letting the boyfriend live in your home. WTF were they thinking when they asked that?

Sorry, had to edit my original post b/c it was off-topic. She should try to search for Grants first and foremost, then Gov backed student loans before fully private loans. However I have noticed lately that some private loans actually have more favorable interest rates than the Gov. Do you plan on paying all of her education? or trying to split it with her? I would NOT recommend getting a loan to pay for living expenses. That's an easy way to put your daughter in a ton of debt for something that could've been paid for with a part time job. What school is she looking at, they have to have financing options available.

Toyota Tacoma Vs. Other Trucks/ Work Vans/ Sprinter Van
HotCarl replied to Radio Flyer1647545514's topic in Passing Lane
A little late to this thread but... I've always had a weird thing for Quigley conversion vans. Since they're aftermarket I think they can be somewhat expensive and i think they primarily do Fords. Chevy actually factory produced 4x4 Express and GMC fullsize vans in gas or diesel that might be a bit cheaper if you found them used. As for reliability/dependability factors. I work PT for a catering company and we have a small fleet of Chevy and GMC full size vans. honestly, they're beat to shit but keep on moving. A lot of city miles, a lot of traffic, and not a lot of love. Other than normal wear and tear things going wrong they keep on moving. You already have your eyes set on a truck but if it were my decision I'd try and find a used 4x4 van, preferably diesel. a quick google search turned up this bad boy, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-E-Series-Van-/141954641170 -
I test drove a tundra before buying my Tacoma. Maybe it was just because I was going from a small car to a full size truck but it felt enormous on the road. Like I was driving a sofa with a cargo bed in the back. I bought my standard cab Tacoma a few weeks later. In retrospect I probably should've kept looking for (at least) an extended cab taco. I did find an extended cab Taco 4x4, regular size bed (6ft?) for $17k with around 60k miles but I didn't jump on it in time. Every 4 door TRD i found had over 100k miles and was still what I thought to be too expensive for what it was. Goodluck in your search and post pics when you find something.

So cool. So did the rocket reach orbit then come right back down? And why choose to land at sea? EDIT: never mind found the answer on google http://www.theverge.com/2016/4/8/11392312/spacex-launch-success-iss-cargo-falcon-9-rocket the video at the bottom of the page explains it all, really interesting stuff.

I used Zillow.com with mixed results. Best bet for 'in-demand' areas is just driving around looking for For Rent signs. I live in Grandview.

I see your point and can partially agree with you. How you learn is just as important as what you learn and I didn't figure that out until after high school. For me, any kind of mathematics or accounting I need to be in a classroom environment with the ability to ask questions on the spot. But something like a business management course I can take online and usually do well on (as long as I'm not lazy) online. Some people don't have that luxury and it just means they have to work harder to accomplish something. side note, I'm terrible at ANY math. But thankfully I ran into an adjunct professor at CSCC who taught the course differently than I had had before and because of this i was successful at it. After that I take all math and accounting classes in person and other "easy" courses can be taken online. A lesson I wish I would've learned sooner.

Just booked our second white water rafting trip out there, going the weekend of July 4. Even though our group consists of all adults, they have stuff kids would enjoy too. A ropes course, a pool overlooking the gorge, an average restaurant, fireworks. I think they have easier rafting routes for younger kids and family's too that would be fun, and of course camping (though small cabins are available we've never purchased one). Highly recommend. The company we go through is Adventures on the Gorge (said previously), i think they had some groupon deals too.

I agree with most of what you're saying. I like the company, I like what they're doing or at least attempting to do. One question, if you purchase a car now do you realistically think you will keep it for 10+ years? It always seems like the biggest caveat to anyone purchasing a tesla is battery life (and maybe range) but whats the AVERAGE life-span of car ownership? 3 years? 2? and yeah its customer dependent etc... but you get my point. I feel like if people are honest they probably don't keep cars THAT long. Hell I do and the longest I've held onto one car was 8 years. I like that they are trying to innovate and think of the future whereas the big auto companies are just focusing on what will sell now and the immediate future.

I'll start out by asking whats important to you in choosing a program credibility or cost? If you go with an online program with a major university you're paying for the branding and notoriety that comes with the name (which in a lot of cases isn't always a bad thing). You can always go cheaper and many times get just as good an education from a smaller school. But, for instance Duke offer's graduate degree programs completely online, they still cost upwards of $100,000 but in the end your have a graduate degree from Duke. Or you could get the same graduate degree from Ohio Dominican for a fraction of the cost. Aren't you prior/current military? Does your GI bill cover most expenses? My advice, talk to as many admissions people as you can. Choose a school/institution that will accept ALL of your former credits (including military credits). This is literally money wasted if they don't and that's so fucking frustrating. As for doing actual coursework. FIFO, get that shit done ASAP. If you get an assignment on a monday due sunday just do it, my biggest mistake is waiting until sunday evening to wrap up that weeks coursework.

YES, this. I've seen these people face to face and i can't help but think "wow, is there nothing you wont say or do to coddle your child?" That being said, I'm not a parent and cant relate to any maternal instinct that these people are having that they THINK this is normal behavior.
