I'm not a professional by any means but when I did a quick search on some over the ear headphones every review I saw said beats were overrated and overpriced. I got a pair of Status closed back studio monitors (CB1's) for my home computer, I listen to classical when I study and they are amazing for shutting out all distractions. Downside is they are pretty bulky and not noise canceling so i doubt I'll ever travel with them. They were a gift so I don't know the exact price but I saw them on a "best value" list so I'm thinking they were under $100. OP, if your daughter has $200 to spend she can get something better than what I mentioned but shop around, there are a TON of review videos on youtube for headphones, if she finds a pair she likes there's probably someone who reviewed them. EDIT: found them... http://thestatusaudio.com/products/cb1

Always loved those trucks but hated the graphics on the side. They don't look so bad when its black on black though. Nice truck man. I thought i worked a lot of OT but I guess not lol.

Let me know if you're feeling "under the weather" this Saturday. I would be in the market for tickets.

I keep thinking of the 02 oakland A's, yeah it was a crazy good run but did they win the championship that year? did they even go deep in the playoffs? (I think they lost in the first round but I'm not a huge MLB fan) I want record but I would much rather they have a serious and deep playoff run to show how good they really are.

I've tried to be a realist and avoided being pessimistic about the current run but after the win against my old team NY Islanders I'm just enjoying it now. The huge win over the pens a few weeks ago was proof that the team is legit, they're not just running the table of the bottom teams they're facing really good clubs. Next two games against the Caps and NYR will be tough for sure. I was at Game 4 against the Pens playoff series a few years ago and it was insane. Despite aftermarket tickets getting crazy expensive I'm going to try and get a ticket to this saturday's game against NYR. IF they carry the streak to that game they have a chance to make history. Again trying to be a realist, but this team is crazy good and keeps defying expectations.

3 years ago I set out to purchase a truck, my first truck. My criteria was at/around 50k miles, 4x4, $18k .... yeah fucking right. Truck prices are insane. I routinely saw Chevy's with over 100k miles going for $20k .... $20,000! Mind you a lot of this was just because I had no idea the resale market on full size trucks was so much, and my criteria was completely unreasonable. I was really focusing on F150's, Chevy/GMC, and Toyota Tundra. Ram just wasn't an option though I did find some cheap ones. That was personal preference. It sounds like you're being realistic, you're going to be buying something with high mileage and regardless of what brand SOMETHING will go wrong with it, it just matters the severity of the problem. My vote is an older Tundra simply because I think they look the best.

I've heard the same about Franklinton, how its the next neighborhood to be "revitalized" Not sure I would live there now but if you're looking for an investment to pay off in the future? I worked in Franklinton briefly years ago and it was a shithole, everytime I drive past it doesn't look like much has changed.

I lived in Grandview for a year and really enjoyed it before moving in with my GF (rented obviously). I highly recommend grandview, while it may not be walking distance to attractions I dont think I ever spent over 7$ on an uber to get anywhere downtown. Not to mention a quick jump on 670 in the morning and its a straight shot to the airport. During rush hour you're usually going in the opposite direction of traffic so that's not an issue. One of my best friends did exactly what you're describing. Bought a small house in Grandview around $160k from an elderly woman. Remodeled everything doing all the work himself with his dad, I think he said its worth just north of 200k now but there are several homes in his neighborhood that have been flipped for north of 200k. I think the exact area is called University View maybe? Behind lennox just off of of Kinnear. For OSU games or concerts we park at his place and walk. It's a really convenient neighborhood. Also, most of the homes have garages. I have another friend, a divorcee like you, who just got an apartment by W Rich street and W Main area. It's not as populated as Grandview and other areas you mentioned but its walking distance to Walrus, Main Bar, Mikey's late night, and other places are a cheap uber drive away. Of course his rent is around $1850 a month, not sure if renting is for you but I really like that area.

I had a final at 8am downtown, that was a long drive but wasn't too bad.

The GF's workplace does a white elephant exchange but they do it in a way that you can "trade" and "steal" other peoples gifts if they're better than yours but you only get so many "moves" to do so and no one wants to get stuck with the shittiest of shitty gifts. It sounds like fuck but fuck all that work and planning lol

HAHAHAH. Seriously though to the OP, around thanksgiving time when the whole family is getting together suggest a grab bag gift exchange. Name in a hat, each person picks one other person and it remains a secret until christmas gifts are exchanged, simple. That way each person gets a really good, thoughtful gift instead of everyone trying to run around and get shitty 20$ gifts for each person. I'm the youngest of 5 and for the longest time was the only single one in the family so we did a grab bag. simple.

Im not a HUGE star wars fan (more of a star trek nerd) but for those who aren't into star wars at all (the gf) would they enjoy the movie? I want to see it this weekend, and I'll go if need be, but she's not huge into anything sci fi and i am.

A guy on my hockey team bought an A3 "clean" diesel new. I haven't talked to him about it lately but he was pretty pissed when he found out about diesel-gate. I thought he said he is going to try and keep it but I don't think that's an option anymore. In the meantime he piece of masking tape on the rear decklid next to the "clean diesel" decal that just read "Not so..." -
http://jalopnik.com/disgruntled-diesel-vw-owners-are-stripping-their-cars-b-1790053005 This seem's like something a CR member would do? One part of the article which didn't make a whole lot of sense was the question of ethics came into play. TDI owners are being reimbursed "handsomely" so they should give the cars back in good condition? What about the ethics behind selling a car you misrepresented and lied about from the beginning?

Hoblick, I passed this on to some of my hockey buddies in case they have kids or nephew/nieces that would want a gaming console. If anyone is interested I'l send them your email.

This was the reason i dated so many nurses.

This thing is awesome. I have it set to 88.1FM and a present on my stock radio, I just leave it plugged in and anytime i want to listen to music from my phone i just hit play. Way better, easier and cheaper than getting a new head unit. The audio is usually pretty clear, sometimes it gets a bit fuzzy but I'm sure this could be fixed if I searched around for another frequency.

Always liked this body style AMG. Does it remind anyone else of the black car you always stole in Grand Theft Auto 2? Maybe that's just me.
-
Also keep in mind that even if he finds a mint condition DSM he's still looking at a 20 year old car. Once modded shit will break regardless.

What calendar do you use that it can keep track of your appointments? My GF lives and dies by her daily planner and keeps everything in it, it would be a pain to transfer all of that information but might be easier in the long run.
