I was just there this morning with the gf. i was suprised they had a small selection considering its all they make but they were pretty good. We're gonna go to HCT for lunch but decided to try BareBurger across the street instead. It was ok but I've had better burgers elsewhere. There are a lot of good food places in North Market, I personally do like Hot Chicken Takeover, chicken and waffles is my go to.

Great area to live, moved into heritage a few weeks ago. Dont think I've ever seen this particular rental community though, I have probably passed it and not realized. If anyone is looking to live in this area this is a great location however I would NOT recommend Heritage Apt's. Just a heads up.

someone mentioned today that there are already two new issues making their way to next november's election day to legalize cannabis. i thought i saw a link on CR somewhere but cant find it, has anyone heard of this?

Agreed. My situation is a bit different being single with no family but I opted for the high deductible plan. First 1500 is covered by my employer, second 1500 is covered by myself and anything over 3000 is 100% covered. Annual physicals are free. I only go to the doctor when I absolutely have to anyway.

Colorado has been the poster boy on how to effectively create a legalized cannibis industry in a state and last fiscal year collected $72 millinon in tax revenue from cannabis alone (compared with only $42 million from alcohol taxes). Personally I dont smoke and dont mind anyone who does, it is an eventuality in this generation that it will be legalized but it should be done right and with the publics best interest in mind, not 10 private companies.

Cant say much for driving but I've been a customer for a few weeks now. Live in grandview and an uber to arena district is 7$ , can't say much for the morality of the company but rideshares in general have to be one of the best inventions of the past decade. However i always watch for surge pricing, last saturday night it was 3.7 times the rate, fuck that shit. I have read some horror stories of drunks being way over charged, drivers think they can get away with it and the refund process taking forever etc... Thankfully I have always had a positive experience. As for the tip, when I signed up it asked how much i would want to tip on each trip, i chose 20% which is a solid tip, I never saw any reason to give more than that.

I would love to join this class unfortunately its my 32nd bday and we're thinking about going to chicago for the weekend... hrmm firearms training or seeing the blackhawks at the madhouse on madison for the first time, decisions.

haha ive followed that guy since he was torts was in NY, funny and completely offensive... which is great!

1. Management (mainly JD) has always admired Torts style and he wants to see what the team looks like under his control for an extended period of time. Remember its only been two games so far. 2. Despite hockey having an 82 game season 80% of the post season teams are decided by mid November. It definitely looks bad so far but this team has shown it can rip off multigame wins/point streaks and despite going 0/8 I dont think anyone is ready to quit just yet... god knows torts wont let them. 3. Still a lot of hockey left to play.

Oh and if you're visiting on a weekend, and single... you will see ALOT of bachlorette parties.

If you like beer try Flying Saucer, food was ok but they had a SHIT TON of beer, good atmosphere too. Do yourself a favor, next time dont bother with a hotel downtown theyre all crazy expensive. Stay at the Nashville hostel, its literally two blocks from broadway and if you have a party of 3-4 you can all get your own personal room anyway. Every year my team plays in a hockey tourney down there and we all stay at the hostel, never regret it either. Always meet new/interesting people, alot of international types. Personally i think alot of the downtown bars are better in the early evening time. Before the big crowd hits and every place is playing country. Every bar on Broadway will have a live band, some play exclusively country other play whatever gets people dancing which will be top 40 crap... and wagon wheel... you will hear wagon wheel more than you have ever wanted to hear that fucking song ever.

Im not a huge Star Wars fan by any means however I am actually pumped about seeing this. I might actually rewatch the other movies before seeing this one.

Torts is a hardass, he will push the players and get the most out of them in the short term but in 2-3 years will probably wear out his welcome. Guys like Boone Jenner will take to his system and blossom bc of their attitude drive, but guys like Ryan Johannson wont work out well unless they change, big time. I can see Joey, with all of his talent being burried on the 4th line. I liked Torts in NY, he was effective if not a complete asshole. But he was a joke in Vancouver. He did come out and say he's changed his coaching style and b/c of this was chosen to coach Team USA in worlds this year (off season) but we'll see.

I recently moved into an apartment that offers "free" wifi and cable (im sure its built into my rent but you get the idea). So far I haven't even hooked up my free cable, just been using netflix when i actually have time to watch anything. The only thing I will miss are NHL games but I watch all the recaps on NHL app for Apple TV so that helps. Talked to a friend who ditched cable a year ago, his only complaint was OSU games on BIG10. My argument is out of the 13 regular season games how many are exclusively on BIG10? 5-6? Those handful of games can be seen at any bar or friends house so to me thats not that big of a deal.

Winter? Pond hockey. Colder months also usually means NHL season is starting. While im a big football fan especially OSU FB fan, I'm a die hard CBJ fan and try to make as many games as my schedule will allow. Other than that just the usual.

There's a guy on Instagram who uses something similar when he makes hockey videos, hockey is a really hard sport to get good video on b/c of all the obstructions. Wonder if NHL would ever allow NBC to use one for larger events, similar to a wire camera the NFL uses.

Ive been watching Hard Knocks a bit as well. JJ is a freak for sure but I think whats admirable about him is his work ethic to be the best,the dude just never gives up. The kind of athlete you want your kid to grow up idolizing.

I just moved to grandview, looking for a gym as well. I have some friends that go to LA Fitness but I have heard it can get stupid busy during peak hours. Snap fitness is ok, but every location I've seen looks small, like a storefront with a bunch of equipment squeezed in.
