From what I understand the only difference between the Dot and the Echo is the speaker (and big price difference). Sonos had a sale on their small satellite speakers, i wonder if I could pair them with an echo for music, has anyone tried this?

Anyone here have an Amazon Echo or similar device? would you recommend it to others? Thinking about buying one for my GF but i cant help but think it's one of those cool gadgets you use a handful of times then it just sits on the shelf. She hosts friends over often and it would be nice to have a single music player that has other features as well.

I watched the first season and thought it was pretty good and somewhat realistic. It just seemed like a bunch of car guys and all of the shit they did. After that a lot of the drama was manufactured and was almost unwatchable. That truck was pretty badass though. FYI, did anyone honestly believe any other these guys were putting up $10,000 to race each other?! Maybe now that the show has done well and they're racing out of town guys for real money but the first season? no fucking way is a working guy taking care of a family sinking 10's of thousands of dollars into his car going to show up and throw $10G's on a race.

I've heard the same about the sound quality on Youtube, though the only music I listen to on Youtube is classical stuff when i study because I can find tracks that are 1-3 hours long. For me personally it's between spotify and Amazon, amazon only b/c its amazon prime and there are a lot of other fringe benefits to that. I just got a bluetooth attachment for my truck so streaming music and audiobooks (yeah I'm kind of a nerd about that shit) for longer drives will be a possibility now. I would assume amazon would be the place to go for audiobooks.

can you download specific song/albums to listen to as well as listen to a "station" of similar music like pandora? I was leaning amazon prime simply b/c of all of the other benefits that go along with it but what Brian said was a big reason for considering Spotify.

Just curious, how do you combat someone like this? I've always held the belief that you simply cannot help someone who refuses to help themselves (this woman being a prime example) and to do so is a waste of time and resources.

Thanks guys, I basically want something I can just set while I'm at the gym and not mess with trying to skip songs and ad's. I don't mind paying a couple bucks but I want the ability to listen to whole albums like I said before. I think someone said amazon prime comes with prime music/radio so that may be worth it.

What are you guys using? I don't want to spend more than a few bucks a month but if I'm paying for anything I want to hear whole albums as well (not just singles). I use to use Songza but they were bought out by google. I think my options would be Google music, Spotify, Apple music, Amazon Prime music... any others?

I've been kicking around the idea of buying a new head unit for my truck just to get bluetooth. I picked this up on amazon for $21.99 (not sure why it wasn't $10 anymore but still cheaper than $99 original price) should be here by friday.

Curious if your insurance company is throwing you any incentives to install dash cams or you guys just enjoy the tech? Curious, if the car has never been titled then can it be street legal? Looks like the interior is stripped so I doubt it would make a very comfortable daily driver anyway but might be something important to note for potential buyers. Goodluck with the sale.

Not using your signal should be a felony. And merging, holy hell FUCKING MERGING! I just simply don't understand how people can't grasp the concept that you're suppose to ACCELERATE on on-ramps to merge with traffic?! If anyone had driven 315NB through Worthington just before the 270 interchange. Because of construction they have had to shorten that merge lane from 161... it just amazes me that people meander down the on-ramp then hit the brakes hard at the end when they realize they have no room to merge and traffic is moving too fast. Already saw one major accident from it last weekend... yes... on a weekend 315NB was at a dead stop because of it Sunday afternoon.

I have family in Asheville, its definitely the most "progressive" area in the state by far. Full of hippies and lefties which I don't necessarily mind but if you don't love craft beer and at least pretend to love international soccer then you're an outsider. Lots of outdoor activities to do though, summer was perfect not sure about the winters. If money were no issue I would visit places like Austin, Dallas, Denver, Tampa Bay, Charleston, San Fran, San Diego, etc... before I moved b/c I feel like all of those places have a lot of positives for me. However moving, a lot more than just finances go into a decision like that. Family, friends, etc... yeah Cbus has some downsides but I think they pale in comparison to the downsides of other cities. Also, comparatively cost of living here is great. Grass is always greener I suppose.
