I took a paralegal course last quarter, legal264, $200 fucking dollars for the book and we barely used the damn thing. shit, even used at the bookstore was $150. i went on half.com and bought it for like $108 shipped. The instructor we had was really cool, but he did everything in class and hardly used the book fuckin sweet waste of money.

THIS. I saved over 100$ on my last legal course book by buying it on half.com, which is basically ebay. What Hal said was right. Personally i would major in something more broad so your not SOL when you graduate. Have you thought about a BA or maybe transfering to another school to get a 4 year? Not that you need to or anything just asking. If your that good at math dont shy away from finance or anything in that field, but its all about what you want anyway. 12+ credit hours is considered fulltime, usually this is 3 or more classes. I try and take at least 3 or more classes every quarter, with working fulltime and cant imagine having to take care of a child too. My advice would be to start small, maybe one or two classes to see how it'll work out and if your confident you can handle more then go for it next quarter. If you decide to take 12-15 credit hours you can always drop a class so no big deal either. I have yet to take an online course b/c i learn best in a classroom but i have heard that you need to be motivated to do it on your own because no one will be there to make you get on blackboard and get your assignments done. Keep us posted on your progress and goodluck.

If your bored its a good read but yeah its long. "Nine years, seven months, and twenty days after September 11th, an American was a trigger pull from ending bin Laden’s life. The first round, a 5.56-mm. bullet, struck bin Laden in the chest. As he fell backward, the SEAL fired a second round into his head, just above his left eye. On his radio, he reported, “For God and country—Geronimo, Geronimo, Geronimo.” After a pause, he added, “Geronimo E.K.I.A.”—“enemy killed in action.” http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2011/08/08/110808fa_fact_schmidle?currentPage=all

Does anyone know a person or service that does resume's locally? Id rather go through an individual than an online service if at all possible? and yes im almost positive it misspelled resume', fuck it its 4am and i worked 10hrs tonight so im not too concerned about it.

Blue = Chep pallets. and yes your right, the grade of wood used, even the nails/screws used are heavier and thus you have a better product which costs more and is worth more. Some companies (gatorade for example)are going towards heavy gauge plastic with barcodes on the side so if you take one or lose it, they will charge you. Again, i hate knowing this worthless information but ill try and find out what company my employer uses.
-
Im almost positive there is a company out there that will pay you for them, have you looked into it? wont be much but better than nothing? they are worth something, depends what they're made of, the quality, size etc... But even shitty pallets are worth 5-7$ each. good chep pallets can range 30-45$ each. Damnit i hate my fucking job b/c it means i know how much pallets cost.

Good info guys. Some points i completely agree with, regardless of what school it is. Its the work i put in that will count. I think i would actually get a better education at Franklin but again I want to explore my options. Ive heard alot of good things about Franklin, mostly that its an older crowd of professionals that have lives (jobs, families, etc...) which would be almost the opposite of the type of atmosphere i would expect as an undergrad at OSU. Ive also heard from other's that WHERE you went to school doesnt matter in the long run, just that you went at all. Your actual work experience is what matters more. I dont mind Franklin at all, in fact i wont judge it until i actually check it out. Im just skeptical that all my advisers are telling me the same thing trying to push me in that direction. I want to know my options first. When I asked my uncle if he thought I would be at a dissadvantage coming out of school later in life than a 22y/o kid from OSU he said not at all. "You just have to play up your life/work experience as a plus." We were talking about law school at the time but it totally made sense.

I think my advisor was trying to say that if i wanted all of my credits to transfer to OSU my declared major must be an arts or science major. As in, all of my business classes taken thusfar wouldnt transfer and I would have to take them all over again at OSU (and pay for them again), yes its not a ton of classes yet but it only costs $73 per credit hour at CSCC, last i checked it was like $250 per credit hour at OSU, so cost is a factor here. I have heard Franklin is a good business school, its their specialty and i just want to make the right move i guess. Obviously out of my choices OSU will carry the most name recognition but there are other factors in play (cost, how long it would take to graduate undergrad, availability of classes, etc...).

There are a ton of books, forums and websites out there. Hell there's even a government website that says every household should be able to sustain itself for 3 or more days on its own. As in have you own food, water and provisions for at least 3 days. And this is the government so you know their 3 days is everyone else's 3 weeks. Ive done some to prepare but nothing too crazy or drastic, not to mention living in an apartment in a suburb if there was real civil unrest you dont want to be in a city. Just get the basics down, food, water, shelter and self defense. Ive heard alot of people make a Bug Out Bag, a bag that consists of everything you need to survive and is easy to grab on the run. But ill warn you, its a slippery slope. Once people start prepping some have a tendancy to take it a little far.

So Im at a fairly odd crossroads and i need some opinions. Ive been attending CSCC for the past year with the full intention of transfering to either OU's site campus on the east side or OSU's main campus to get a 4 year degree in business management. However after talking with my advisor i would need to change my major to either an arts or science major to attend OSU and they keep steering me towards transfering to Franklin. I dont want to sound like a snob but if im going to put in all this work, time and money (i put myself through school, no loans) then i kinda want a degree with a little name recognition on it. I know that may sound dumb to some people but still. While im sure Franklin is a nice school, and I've heard alot of professionals have attended and graduated im still unsure if i would want to go there. Anyone have any opinions? I know its kind of a crapshoot asking this question on here but there are a few intelligent members on CR, i think?

ha awesome, thanks.

I thought there was a member here that boxed up there. Have some questions if you can PM me?

I'd dolphin fuck her.

exactly. For me, it depends who did it. If it was my oldest brother mike he would apologize and offer to pay the damages no biggie. If it was my other brother he would probably try and blame me for leaving the keys accessible and i would have to make him pay the damages. Is this family member a responsible adult?

Ive always wanted to do this to my sister's Odyssey, but her carpet is so bad im thinking i would need to just take out the seats and replace the whole thing. She joked about giving me the van when i started to have kids and this was the first thing i thought of doing when i got it Looks good though.

It's hard to believe.....if you don't like kids stay out

My neice is a teenager, she was adopted from my brother-in-laws first marriage and by far one of the coolest kids i know. Yeah shes your typical teenager but i always tell my sister shes fucking lucky that megan's not out rolling joints, skipping school and doing god knows what else and she has some good influences in her life. After hearding about her birth mother and the way they live, her life would be completely different had she not been adopted, different in a bad way. Tim, glad to hear you guys started when you were 33, i always wanted to start before i turned 30, my parents started when my dad was in his 20's and i didnt want to be "too old" to do fun stuff with my kids. But after going back to school i realized the kids plan might have to be pushed back a few years until after i graduate. Not sure if juggling a young growing family, home, school and work would even be possible. For now im content being the B.U.E. (acronym for Best Uncle Ever) to my neices and nephew. -
Is the 'public defender' judge different somehow than a regular taurus judge?
