65k?!?!?!?! lol no fucking way. I guess there are at least 200 enthusiasts in the states who will buy one? Not sure they could be called "fanbois" though? Maybe FanAdults? FanMidlifeCrisis? FanIDontHaveKids?

One of my new years resolution was to cut out FB and Twitter for a month, then reevalute after that. FB just seemed like such a time waster all the time. I would check without realizing, just to check it. The only thing i really "miss" is Twitter but thats because i follow CBJ / NHL stuff through twitter. Now i just find myself reading The Athletic all the time.

I know you don't know me that well Clay but I actually laughed out loud at this. Good suggestion, not too far away. I had no idea they had a private space.

Both places look great, I sent an email for pricing and menu/bar options so just waiting to hear back. Just looking through their event menu looks like about $2500-$3000 for everything. Kinda can't complain seeing as how this is the only thing I have to pay for. A few years back I attended a rehearsal dinner at Bravo off Bethel road. It was pretty nice, not too formal but not bar food either. They quoted me around $1500 for our group which I thought was fairly reasonable.

So we're getting married Oct 25 (a Friday) and my only responsibility is to organize the rehearsal dinner for thursday the 24th. I'm looking for a space that can comfortably sit 35 guests, casual setting and food (no bar food). We prefer something somewhat close to brewery district or downtown. Every place I find either can't hold our size party or is TOO casual (bar food) it doesn't have to be super nice or formal just not chicken fingers and wings. I considered renting a place and getting catering, I use to work for Hoggy's Catering and am pretty sure i can get a decent deal for our size group but we'll still need to rent a space. anyone have any suggestions?

Ford People: What To Look For In Mercury Grand Marquis/Town Cars/Crown Vics
HotCarl replied to wagner's topic in Passing Lane
One thing to consider. Amazon hires delivery drivers for Prime service, I only partially looked into it but from what i understand its very similar to uber in that you're paid based on demand. So if you drive in the middle of the day when delivery demand is low you may make 15$/hour but if you're driving in the evening during rush hour and everyone wants to order their prime instead of going to the store your pay goes up. It looked super easy, go to the warehouse load up your car and their app tells you where to go for the deliveries. No customer interaction, no drunks, no 5 star ratings pretty simple. I haven't looked into it in a while but you might consider it rather than Uber? -
When we sold our previous home i powerwashed the back patio and front walkway. I was amazed how much better a little powerwashing made everything look. Well worth the time to do it.

wait... people actually meet friends online. like just platonic friends? I feel like that's a recipe to invite some crazy fucking people into your life. Not that she'll necessarily take advice from her dad but you should suggest she pick up a new hobby. Sand volleyball, painting, bowling league, drinking heavily, something along those lines. Just ANYTHING to expose her to other people outside of her non-existent friend circle. I can't tell you how many people I've met and eventually became good friends with through hockey. All b/c we just shared something we enjoyed doing. Hell the newest girl on my Friday team just moved to cbus from Jersey with her GF, didn't know a soul but joined a league and she at least has some friends in a city they just moved to.

Sucks it happened, they had a handful of beers I really liked (obviously i and other's didn't like them enough b/c they're out of business). I did hear a rumor they were canning for other small breweries but that business went away when those breweries built their own canning infrastructure. Maybe that little bit of extra revenue was keeping their head above water? Either way, there are a lot of good (and a handful of not so good) craft beer choices still around. One I simply can not understand is Platform. Great branding, cool taproom/brewery, absolute terrible beer. I've given several of their beers a taste and tried them on many occasions and none of them are good. I don't understand it.

My good friend got a great deal at Dicks during off season sales last year. Other than that I can't really help you on brand and model. I couldn't even tell you what brand ours are just that they're for "beginners". I did use an "advanced" kayak in Florida once on vacation and it was surprisingly harder to control compared to my beginner kayak we have here.

I steal my sisters Hulu, its ok. It's definitely geared more towards people who watch network shows that don't want to pay for cable. They'll have some movies, some original content but most of their content is popular network shows. If that's what you enjoy you'll like it.

That's probably the best deal I have heard so far and that's much more room than we need. Like I said previously we just need to store lawn care items (mower, trimmer, seeder,etc...), maybe some camping gear and the kayaks which take up WAY too much room in the garage. We have a good size corner of our backyard to work with so I was thinking a 10'/12' or 12'/12'. Another issue I completely forgot about, that corner of the backyard tends to pool water in heavy rain so I'm worried if its just earth or just gravel it will flood easily. I hadn't thought about just using cinder blocks but then there's the issue of critters digging under it. So far we're looking at something similar to this https://www.menards.com/main/outdoors/sheds-outdoor-storage-accessories/sheds/the-carmen-cove-10w-x-12d-yard-barn/m05-002d-450210x12yardbarn/p-1444422684182-c-9658.htm?tid=8887777299247296829&ipos=29

Has anyone ever done this before? A neighbor and I were going to build one from a Menards plan. A lot of people are suggesting pouring a concrete slab but prices of concrete are crazy. I was thinking of a small steel building on a gravel base, is this even an option or just a bad idea? A wooden structure wouldn't be too expensive its the cost of the concrete that's crazy.

Such as? At first I was all for it, a little notoriety for the city, it would be kinda "cool" I suppose. But after talking with a friend in corporate real estate who's adamantly opposed to it I'm finding it hard to see the benefits unless you're directly involved with Amazon or benefit financially somehow.

We have a V6 '15 Overland, the perfect size auto for everything we do. Hauling hockey bags, going on road trips, camping, everything. Acceleration isn't the greatest but it gets the job done, and its a really comfortable drive.

a TOUCH above him? Understatement of the year. I use to listen to his music, not too bad. Sad it happened but he's had plenty of chances to come clean and get help and just didn't.

Long story short, we have a big family camp out weekend coming up and we're asking any of our friends if they know someone who would let us borrow their (preferably small)camper for a weekend. Pop-up, ultra light, or something small along those lines. Doesn't need bathroom amenities or functional kitchen as we'll be at my GF's dad's property where those are provided. Just need somewhere clean and preferably air conditioned to sleep (not absolutely needed). If anyone has anything we can workout some sort of rental agreement, it would of course be cleaned and returned to you in perfect order. Thanks everyone.

holy shit you really did buy a dump truck? That website is interesting to browse but i've never purchased anything from it.

Cool truck, any pics of the interior?

You're in HR right? Do you guys do any actual work anyway? I kid of course. But the only .02 cents I have to add is I worked for the same company for a little over 10 years and most of it was in Operations. A few months ago I made the jump to sales, it was a huge jump and I'll be honest I was fucking scared/intimidated. I knew nothing about sales but I knew how to bullshit, talk to people, and work hard. I just finished the bulk of my training and everyday I go into work I'm actually excited to go to work and prove that I can not only do this but be the best at it (damn i should write motivational posters). There's been a lot of internal changes at my employer in the last year, some are good and some not so much but one thing is for sure I should've made the jump years ago. My personal opinion, without a family at home you have the flexibility to do this now. Obviously you'll leave on good terms so it's not like you wouldn't be able to re-enter the HR field in the future should the need arise (albeit at a lower position maybe). The only other caveat I can think of is how safe/prepared are you should the economy experience another slow down? You'll be reliant on your tenants to pay their rent, what happens if they lose their jobs etc...

You could check out Ironplanet.com Auctioned work trucks. As with any auction some are better than others but they have all sorts of stuff on there. Have seen a handful of Ecoboost f150's on there for a decent price. Some Chevy's, some absolute beaters of course.

We usually sit inside turn one (i think) mostly because we wanted to move around and my friends uncle is a head chef for a team so we visit them. The grandstands always looked uncomfortable and packed. I've never sat there but I heard it's mostly die hard fans. It's hot regardless of what you do but id rather not be shoulder to shoulder with other people when its 90 degrees outside. side note, I always find it funny to pass by the graveyard of cooler's outside the front gate. Do people still not understand you can't bring full size coolers in?!

I've always wanted to try IDPA or USPSA if they offered some sort of novice or beginner level competition (aka just for fun). Years ago I looked into it but didn't really find much online surprisingly. These days stuff gets so busy I don't think I could do it regularly but I'd like to give it a shot (pun intended) just once.

We have electric heat and will get a decent size bill once or twice a year. During the cold months we run the cast iron fireplace insert as much as possible. Close the door, turn the fan on and let it do its thing. Its not the most efficient as it only really heats the back of the first floor (family room, dining room, kitchen) but wood is the cheapest fuel to use. That outdoor wood burning furnace is pretty cool though. I'd like something like that but I know the woman would say "its ugly". We purchased windows last fall but this is our first winter in the house so we don't have old heating bills to compare them to. I think we could probably add some additional insulation to help too.
