    Storm doors

Just from an aesthetics point of view, our last home had one and I enjoyed keeping the front door open. Our new home does not and the entry way always seems closed off and darker for it. I'm sure in the near future we will look into a new storm door just for this reason.
  2. I picked up a bag from Cheaper Than Dirt years ago. There were other bags that might fit your needs (i only use it for one pistol and ammo, eyes/ears, etc...) but i think i paid like 25$ and its pretty damn sturdy. MOLLE webbing on the outside, thick nylon and "meaty' zippers, im pretty happy with it.
  3. My GF listed her old house not far from you recently. Had three bids in the first 48 hours, she accepted one 5k over asking with no contingencies and she even listed for much more than the agent recommended. That area is in high demand, you shouldn't have any issues. Any pics of the new place?
  4. Might be a long shot but if anyone is looking for a cargo cover, this came off of an 08 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Grey in color, retractable, perfect condition. Took it off of the car when we first bought it and never used it again. CR price is $20, new these things are $119 from the dealer. CL post for a pic. https://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/6195176634.html
  5. Its ridiculous how much these things cost, I spent almost $200 on a new two piece box spring that was on clearance at an outlet store because we couldn't fit the old one up the stairs in the new house. I knew these things are a dime a dozen on craigslist so I just threw it up for free here. Ask her is she wants to double the size of her garden box?

  7. I posted this a few months back and have two different people flake on the sale. We moved and need this stuff gone, I've lowered the price as well. $100 for CR For any Jeep guys, with a little keyboard work you could probably flip the skids alone for a bit of profit, brand new they're $761 without tax or shipping. CL post has pics of everything. https://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/6194520194.html Best, and fastest way to reach me is email rse7en@yahoo.com - Ryan
  8. As the title says, queen size box spring and its free. Good condition, no tears, holes, or broken wood. If you really need a pic email me and I'll shoot you one but its pretty basic white box spring not a whole lot to it... and its free so... Located in Worthington / Lewis Center area for pickup only. Thanks. Ryan rse7en@yahoo.com
  9. So we have been moving all week and simultaneously getting window quotes from different companies. One guy comes over and after I tell him we're not going to out price our neighborhood by buying $15-20k worth of windows he proceeds to give me this entire demonstrations for over 2 hours on their amazing windows only to give me a quote for $21,000!!!!! Honestly I knew it was coming I was more upset he wasted over two hours of my time with his sales pitch when he clearly knew i wasn't buying that shit. Long story short he offered $10,800 for a lower grade window before he left. Thanks but no thanks. The profit margin on windows is fucking insane.
  10. Damn Kirk, that sounds like literal hell on earth but much respect to you for keeping your head on straight through it. I have had friends (some of them pretty young) go through really ugly divorces and it just blows my mind that at one point in time all of these guys (and girls) were so happy together and I'm sure they never imagined their relationship deteriorating to what it had become. That's one reason I stayed single so long, and I'm thankful for that. To the OP, surprisingly CR has responded to your post with some solid, mature advice (surprise!) good luck to you.
  11. It's cool, and yeah I was expecting around 10k so I was surprised when they came in under. That being said we'll almost definitely purchase the windows ourselves and subcontract someone to just do the install. I just don't see how any company can compete with that low of a price (rough estimate was around $4800).
  12. Got our first quote from Windsor Construction, I asked for a "good, better, best" examples. the "better" windows with install were $8950. the "good" windows were around $7300 I believe. That was for 15 windows. I was actually happy with their process, no high pressure bs. They just presented their product and what they do with all of the garantee's etc... We have three more companies coming for quotes throughout the week but we're narrowing down what we want so hiring a subcontractor to do the install and purchasing the windows ourselves is a possibility as well. If we can find a subcontractor who's reasonable then we can afford to purchase a nicer windows with the savings we'd have from the install.
  13. There are some public parks that allow booze under certain restrictions. I catered a wedding a few weeks ago where we were able to serve beer and wine in a public park, we've done it several times. Probably the nicest park we've ever done is North Bank downtown. Availability is somewhat limited but if you're shooting for September it may be doable, they allow alcohol on premise and have a full kitchen. My coworker is having his reception at the Park of Roses and I'm positive he will have alcohol. The company i work for has a license to serve alcohol but not to purchase. I believe this is how we are able to serve at public parks but i could be wrong I'm not 100% If you need any help I can ask our wedding coordinator who she would suggest for a reception of 100 people.
  14. Thanks for the info fella's. I'm having a few contractors come out and give estimates but we have a close friend who may purchase the windows at a discount and we'll find someone to install for us. I feel like installation should be pretty straight forward if the size's aren't too unique, maybe I'm wrong? having just purchased the house in the last few weeks we obviously haven't seen how cold the current windows are but they look pretty shitty and being electric heat we're hoping windows will make some positive impact on retaining heat in the winter. I'm thinking we'll probably look into upgrading the insulation as well.
  15. Sorry to hear that man, not to intrude or get personal but any way you could do counseling and try and work it out? Might be able to avoid a lot of drama and heartache in the long run. Either way, goodluck man.
  16. My girlfriend and I are about to move into a new house in the Worthington area. In the near future we will be replacing all of the windows. Anyone have recommendations on who they have worked with in the past? Cost, how long the project took, any savings in utility bills from the work? What kind of materials you went with? It's a 5 bedroom home with approximately 14 windows that need to be replaced. House was built in '84 and the windows are all original. So far we have received very loose estimates ranging $5,000-$10,000+
  17. I fought a ticket a few years ago. The CPD officer did not show up to court, the prosecutor knew this and offered a plea deal of "state speed" (which apparently is recorded as 1 mph over the limit if I remember correctly), no points and a 50$ fine. I obviously said no because she was trying to stall until the officer arrived. We go before the judge, i explained my case the judge looks at me and says something to the effect of, "you don't know, officers these days are highly trained and can tell when someone is speeding just by observing them on the highway, i suggest you reconsider the plea deal." I was fucking dumbfounded. I took the deal, plus paid court costs that equaled $45, in total I was out roughly 3 hours, and $95. I think the ticket itself was $140. But I didn't receive any points. This all happened like 10+ years ago so some of the details are a bit blurry. My friend got a speeding ticket via OSHP aircraft 3 years ago when we were all coming back from rafting in west virginia. I thought it was the shittiest scam. Absolutely no way to confirm it was his car but after all a black Accord can't be that common right?
  18. Brad, did you buy a vette yet?
  19. Somebody broke their NDA about being in a Chevy commercial. I thought it was somewhat interesting and I can't stand those commercials. http://www.avclub.com/article/whats-it-be-one-regular-people-those-chevy-commerc-255734
  20. Fuck that noise. I've watched every series except the original but I'm not adding some bullshit bill every month just to watch this show. Absolutely agree, i noticed it when they first beamed up but chalked it up to having to appeal to an audience that expects those kind of effects in a sci-fi series. In the end this show will have to attract non-diehards so i think they'll waiver on some things.
  21. Star Trek: Discovery trailer has arrived. I grew up watching star trek so I'll probably watch this. Surprisingly, the CGI looks pretty damn good, almost movie quality but maybe they just showed the best parts on the trailer. https://www.yahoo.com/news/apos-star-trek-discovery-apos-220650875.html
  22. People will try and take 23 north to circumvent this. We live in the Polaris area but luckily I work off-hours so traffic is never a concern for me. Though when the 23 interchange with 270 was partially complete my commute was quicker but at least 15 minutes. When its completely done it should be very quick to pass through that should only be another 10 years so there's that to look forward to.
  23. so, the real question is... just how much skin action can you see on that camera?
  24. Great class Joe. For anyone who's interested in taking the course or even just to get some basics down I highly recommend this course. I knew I was a terrible shot and Joe showed me several things to improve upon, I was shooting straight in no time. +rep
