Borrowed a mighty vac from Autozone and got the air out, thanks! Now check out the classified section...

Wow, years later and I still can't figure out how to bleed this bitch right. Just replaced the chain and sprockets again and cant get the clutch to pressurize. If anyone has time to help me today (8/21/2013) or tomorrow before 3pm, please let me know. FREE BEER in Pickerington. I'm going to get new fluid now, maybe they'll rent me a mighty vac. She'll be for sale once I get her running and cleaned up.

Ahahahaha, I hate what Chevy is doing to the ass end of the '14 Camaros & C7s.

Good stuff

I re-checked the wires, no joy. It's a cap with the leads coming out of the top. I'll replace that later this week and report back. Thanks.
-
Cap looks like an aftermarket one...its red. Is there any way to check it before I replace it with a new one? I've never dug into this before. Truck has 138,000 miles, I've put on about 17k on it in a few yrs. New starter and battery last month.

My 88 Chevy truck has been misfiring so I replaced the spark plugs and wires, but it still continues. Air filter is clean. Feels like the engine is bogging down when I touch the gas. Sometimes after driving it for 15 mins or so it will straighten out and run fine. Any suggestions? Thanks!

1988 Chevy k1500 5.7l 4x4, no tilt steering, auto, new battery and starter. Truck sat for a week in the snow and wouldn't start in extreme cold (below 15 degrees) it warmed up to 25 or so and finally started, replaced the starter and batt. Still engaged starter slow at times, but once engaged the starter, always starts right up. Now I can't even get the starter to engage when I turn the key. Batt has plenty of volts and amps. I think it is the iginition switch that is my problem, but how do I know? Help appreciated! I'm off Friday and would love toget her running again, she's an awesome truck but just looks like shit...and now is giving me starting problems. Also, the truck has been with me down in TX for about the past 6 months so it was down in the dry heat and just came back north just as the snow hit the ground. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the problem. Grounding looks good. Thanks again!
-
I put 400# of cinder blocks & sand in the back of the truck and a cap on the bed...makes it no fun in the snow, but drives like a tank. Bring it on crazy Ohio drivers!
-
This first snow is nice, especially for Christmas, but I'm done with it now. Ready for spring to get here.

Well I think this thread speaks for itself. Ryan is a top notch guy and its sad that not all shops cannot be as honest and knowledgable as him. I've been away from OR for a while and was actually looking for someone to refresh my bike for me once I get back from some military shit and came across this thread. I'll still have to give you a call when I put on some new treads. You've made the right decision for you and your family. I hope to meet you once again. You've def made a positive name for yourself! Congrats on the new gig and more importantly, more time with your other half.

Bad ass! -
I've always loved the torque thrust D's, GLWS!

I live in Pickerington, but out of city limits where the Sherrif patrols and they've waived at my neighbor and me weekly in the summers while we're working on cars. I'm sure if you're running a shop for profit, then you would need to be zoned differently.
-
I'd go with Yuasa. I've purchased cheap batteries before and they didn't last a 1/4 as long as Yuasa. Just my $.02. Got mine from IP.

Great dog and thanks for fostering! We already have 2 pound pups and I've always thought of being a foster family, I just don't have time for the dogs we do have and I'm sure the wife and I would get too attached to one of them and we'd eventually have a zoo. Maybe when we get a bigger place and more land!

I've delt with them on a negative note as well for a "free" tire plug with a coupon. I dropped the wheel/tire off, off the vehicle, and they said it would be an hour. 1.5 hrs later I stopped by to pick it up, it was still sitting in the waiting area where I left it, not even touched. I told them I understood if they didn't have time since it was a free plug, I'd go elsewhere. They got defensive and said "we're doing you a favor for free." I picked it up untouched and took it across the street and Firestone plugged it for free in 10 mins, I've done other business with Firestone and told them I won't be going back to Mr. Tire even if it is free.

Ha, my thoughts exactly. To each his own. In for pics!
