  1. Also try Cycle Therapy in Akron. Ask for Mike B.
  2. I've been doing some bolt gun research and just had a conversation with flounder on starter long range guns. Of the ones you posted, get the savage. The barreled action is going to be about the same quality between the savage and the rem, and both are pretty decent out of the box. However, the stock is the weak link on the sps. The savage model you posted is the one with the HS precision stock. That stock will provide a better platform for accuracy. Another option would be to buy the non HS model of the savage (or the sps varmint) and try to find a used HS take off stock. You might be able to save a few bucks that way. Savage also sells a version with a mcmillan stock, but it will be priced more than the models you listed. In terms of the ruger, the molded in scope mounts are going to be useless to you if you intend to reach longer distances unless its built with a 15-20 moa cant.
  3. Even if its not an accutrigger, the 'smith I sent you info on can clean it up for you. He did the trigger on my savage 17hmr.
  4. anxiety, sexual identity crisis. Whatever you want to call it....
  5. Never heard of it, but its a copy of the Blackhawk CQC Serpa line. Some folks have issues with the blackhawk stuff, some don't. I have a couple and like em. I wouldn't use it primarily as a concealment holster myself, there is better stuff out there. That said, its my buddy's on/off duty holster and he's able to make it work for on duty concealment (suit) and off.
  6. dude, I think what he meant by BS is all the work/money/considerations for endurance racing. My impression is that he thought you pointed out good things that most folks new to it wouldn't consider and might leave a bad taste in their mouths if they were unaware. I don't think it was meant as a negative towards you. I think we need to switch you to decaf buddy.
  7. I rode with them a few times last year, and plan on getting my feet wet in racing with them this year. From what I've seen, I think Todd still has his work cut out for him in changing the mentality.
  8. not sure about the plate issue, although the indiana bmv may issue a temp tag. You'll take the indiana title and the vehicle to the title bureau, they will "inspect it" aka check the vin to make sure it matches, and issue you a new title. Then go to the BMV and get plates. I would call the Indiana bmv to see if they'll do a temp tag.
  9. Specifically, are the rounds failing to extract (be pulled from the chamber) or failing to eject (pulled from chamber)? The former would point to either bad extractors (rough like you mentioned and its getting caught on the shell, or a wrong tension from the springs) and the latter would point to a bad ejector. Also, the ignore the advice about high brass, but trying a different ammo is worth a shot. I highly doubt its a "seating" issue. I believe the 870 won't fire if the bolt doesn't lockup with the chamber. If it did fire and there was a headspace issue causing it to be out of battery, you'd be here posting about how your new shotgun blew up on you.
  10. The intent from both of us was to inform, not be critical. Maybe I came across as a dick, but how does anyone learn without pointing out what one does right and what one does wrong?
  11. I highly doubt it had a "hair" trigger. Anything with a light trigger pull gets classified that way by newbies. My guess is its probably sitting around 2 lbs (~1000grams) or so at best. That's on the heavy end for a good target trigger, but light for a hunting rifle like that. I've shot stuff with less than 100g triggers, now that is in the arena of "you touch it, it shoots."
  12. You mean when bonnie proof reads for you, right?
  13. In addition to giving handjob's for cash, pauly also used to be an auto mechanic in a former life. Jbot, I'm willing to bet that your problem has to do with that fucked up, no connector having, ebay PC that you bought. I'd recheck all the rewiring.
  14. Trust me, no dealer in the canton area has A* race boots for you to try on.
  15. The other option is hitting your target, since each bullet you let fly (be it fmj, frang, jhp) is likely to have a lawyer attached to it.
  16. I'd be in, how about an extra surcharge to get the 2ct's as well?
  17. I'd go side/underfold AK for a camping carbine before I'd do the keltec. I've not played with the rifle version, but a buddy has the pistol carbine version and its not a bad little gun. Plan on it feeling a bit flimsy and the sights being terrible.
  18. While I'm not a huge laser fan, they do have their place when it comes to low/no light situations. The newer crimsom trace stuff is nice.

Dare I ask why you even had NV on your AR?
