  1. I heard you guys while I was at the range today. Probably about 1:40 or so. Sounded like you were ripping down 93 about then.
  2. Which is why you should try the Wednesday evening shoot.
  3. I think I'm going to hit the short course on Sunday. I might take a half day Wednesday and do the evening shoot as well.
  4. MSF meets track day. Very Interesting. Who knows, maybe they'll learn that their advice on always using the front and rear brakes to slow down isn't so hot for sportbikes/performance riding.
  5. Pass from the warden? I call BS. I'd buy the "easier to ask forgiveness..." bit before I'd buy that.
  6. Good route choice, did that same run earlier this year. I may be game depending on how beat I am from the trackday on Saturday and if I get my street tire situation worked out. I don't want to pull a Cleave and show up with cords showing.
  7. I saw that, talk about a sweet rifle. How fast did he say he was pushing that 208/210 gr bullet? 3200?
  8. So far I like it. It did seem like damn near everyone else was in moa at the match, but my partner was able to call correction for me in mil. It does take some getting used to the different math. I think mil reticle/mil adjustments along with an FFP scope ultimately would make it easier for a spotter to call shots and adjustments better at all ranges. My only real complaint is I'd like more elevation adjustment. Remember, roughly 100 shopping days till my birthday folks, everyone can chip in and buy me a Nightforce or a Vortex HD.
  9. Black hills 175 right now. I'm going to start loading my own here shortly. I think the blackhills is only pushing it around 2550-2600 fps and I should be able to eak out another 100-150 fps without being over pressure. Or I could try 155's for a bit flatter trajectory. I guess I'm going to have to think on the 30 minute mount for a bit. Not sure what that'll do to my check weld.
  10. I checked, its just a hair over 19 mils (which seems about standard for mil scopes). My 100 yard zero is 7ish mils from mechanical zero.
  11. That's what I thought too. It only has 20 MILS of elevation travel (I could've swore it had 30 originally), so basically 10 MILS + 5.8 from my 20 moa base. I think I was running out of elevation at 13 MILS, which should be right because I think I was on 3.2 mils or so before we reset my turret to 0 for my 100 yard zero. I'm going to check it tomorrow and bottom it out and count up my elevation.
  12. Did the math, I'm 12ish mils to go from 100 to 1000, so even with the extra 3ish mils I'd get with the 30 minute base, I'd still be holding over.
  13. There are only 3-4 people here that will probably have decent input on this, but I'll pose the question anyway. My scope only has 20 mils of elevation (I thought it had 27-30ish for some reason) and I'm on a 20 moa base. I'm thinking of switching to a 30 moa base so that I can dial in 1150-1200 without having to use hold overs. Thoughts?
  14. And by complete shit, he means that I beat him on my first time out with less than perfect elevation numbers.:thefinger:
  15. Check the schedule on the website or look for a thread on snipershide with updated schedule. TVP has stuff going on almost every weekend.
  16. Yet another shitty forecast for rain on a track day I was too lazy to get my bike ready for. I still may come up and watch you guys ride in the rain
  17. You sure that wasn't a tall greek guy named Wayne?
  18. After a certain point, they are going to leave you alone unless the happen to witness you making a major mistake or doing something dangerous. I've never seen anyone ask for help and not receive it.
  19. I'd venture to say that officer made the decision to shoot in his head before the guy even turned.
  20. I've done 3 but it was a pain because you have to get one in the middle. Once it gets to 14ft you can fit 4 comfortably.
  21. Now now, I didn't name call until my second reply, I was just an asshole in my first reply.
