    Filters I dug out of my "dont throw this shit away" bin and a Cobb "race" tune. Thats literally it.

    similar experience with one I ran out of Dayton. White SS with exhaust and tune and a German turd had him too.

    I was manually shifting. Because of the ridiculous torque spike it actually seems faster if I short shift it.

     

    I just bought an 08 335i, this make me happy. I'm planning on downpipes and the jb4. I'm surprised how fun this car is stock.

     

    Honestly dont bother with anything but a tune unelss you just want to waste the money. I did my research, my tune only picked up 110-130whp. If I got a downpipe, IC, pipes...ect.. I MIGHT see another 10-20. The turbos simply cant flow any more air.

    Its my DD, relax! I have to be able to take million dollar agents around would looking like a teenager. Also, my other car traps 150+mph, so we have our bases covered. ;)

     

    These are surprisingly cheap for a turbo AWD German sedan that's not even 10-years/100k miles old...

     

     

    I paid less than 10k for mine out the door from a dealer who just replaced the HPFP, injectors, coils, and turbos. This is also for a well optioned car.

     

    Has more to do with almost 10-years old and no one wants to work on

    I remember when we had our 3-series we were about to go out of town so I had the dealer quote a few small items to fix while we were gone. They QUOTED me over $6,000 to repair like 5 small things... :lolguy:

    I bought the parts and did it myself for less than $700 in my driveway.

    This is dead on. It does also having someone that owns a German repair shop being one of your best friends  the HPFP for example that everyone worries about is $100 used, $430 new, and can get installed in 10 minutes by removing only 3 bolts if you have the right extensions. .

    That was turned down according to him. He is a die hard street racer, he never has an all out number at the track or dyno in public. Just like his colt that went a "best pass" of 11.0@133, but roll'ed on liter bikes and only was 2 cars behind Josh Williams form a 40 roll. And Josh trapped 170+mph LOL

  3. Damn, pretty impressive. Those beamers really wake up with essentially just a tune. A lot of them gain 60+whp just from that

     

    Yeah buddie.

     

    Im probably 100-120 whp and 150+trq (peak) over stock. This is basically all of it. Because the turbos are so small, I could spend another 5k+ on FMIC, pipes, downpipes, full exhaust and only gain 15-20whp.

     

    I can assure you that 5k will NEVER get spent LOL.

    Eh, I put about 1.5-2 cars on him that run. If I missed a shift, it would have been close or an L.

  6. Doing some work lately. I was on mid teens boost. Pump gas with a splash of Cam 2 (whatever was left from the shootout)

     

    vs. a built Turbo/Auto Camaro

     

     

     

     

    Vs. built Evo. 6766@40sih psi around 800whp. Traction is just a suggestion for me anymore LOL

     

     

     

     

    And if want to know why I cant run more boost, because this happens!!! LOL. Still working on ways to alleviate the tire shake

     

  7. The biggest factor for us was my daughter had one tooth coming in through the gum in front of another tooth. .

     

    That’s a different scenario. That's basically a legitimate medical issue. I doubt all of the people that slammed their kid in these things had a saber toothed kid.

     

    I had a friend at work go from wow your teeth are horrid to 95% perfect in 1.5 years with these http://www.invisalign.com/. Makes me think a lot of this adolescent torture is avoidable.

  8. I should clarify that the braces definitely aren't needed for a few years, this is just something "recommended".

     

    Find a new orthodontist. NOW. Sounds like a money grab to me.

     

    My opinion/experience-my teeth were semi jacked as a kid. Doc suggested to pull a few teeth (that had cavities due to an apple juice obsession) and see how it works out. It gave the room for my adult teeth to come in as my head and mouth grew. Teeth are now perfect, I mean perfect. Never had braces or a retainer.

     

    You can correct teeth well into adult hood. To me, this is not far off of getting your daughter implants because she is not in a C cup by age 13. American's obsession with perfection is insane, and sad.

  10. I love it. But in order to avoid the "addition" factors (head ached, increased resistance to caffeine) I only drink it when I had a long night, or with a fancy breakfast. Maybe 3-4 times a week,

     

    My grandmother was 106 when she recently passed- she drank a cup of espresso EVERY day. She also lived on her our. OG dego wop Savage.

  11. Got the turbo on. Also a correction, its a GT4508r.

     

    The downpipe just about bolted up as is-its a hair lose due to the difference in the size of the V band but its good enough for me. :) I made a standard 3.5 inch V band I had laying around from an old down pipe work for the turbo outlet.

     

     

    Bridged the gap b/w 3 and 3.5 inch with the China Mig, then hit it with the belt sander to make sure it was flat

    Gooped on a good amount of RTV and let it set. Sealed up great!

    Oil drain basically bolted up. Oil feed line was just a hair short, but I didn't feel like spending any money on a new one. So I came up with this glorious piece. Pieced together the water lines in the same fashion. BAM! done

    Took the car out to make some test hits, and test the gates in various combinations of clammped and working to see hwo the car reacts.

    First impressions, holy FUCK. Butt Dyno says the car is making more power than it ever has with any combo. Seeing 10psi as early as 3500rpm in 4th. 20psi produced pretty violent tire shake in 4th. The car has NEVER done this on these tires, ever. Boost recovery is instantaneous. Also in testing what max boost may be- I saw 25psi with the needle flying to buried when I lifted. FUCK.

     

    Still sucks that I dont think I ever gave the On3 a good chance to work with all the wastegate issues, but I will be happy to revisit that turbo at a later date. For now-this girl is a bad bitch. May be on the Dyno Aug 6th time permitting after I am done tuning cars for the DSM Shootout, and should be on track some time in 3 weeks for Shootout weekend.

  12. Aside from the All Mighty LS what other platform do you see people squeezing out double the stock HP with no issues on internals? Most (of course not all) Subarus that have either ringland or detonation issue are due to modifications that people skimp on the support (read : tuning)

    Fuck, even a Vanilla Ice 5.0 will double HP and live forever, but 3x may split the block.

     

    With modern turbo and fueling tech, I dont see doubling HP as a feat anymore to be honest. I've been saying it since 2005 and seeing what J Shreck was going through while we were both competing at IFO, I would NEVER build a Subaru or try to push one in stock trim. Junk is Junk

  13. If I knew you were interested in a Viper I could have given you a heads up. A friend of a friend was able to pick up a 1 year old GTS for $66k with a 5 year warranty. It was lemon lawed for a paint defect.
