  1. looks like cris dodd is threatening anyone in congress to pass sopa or forget about any more contributions. http://www.savetheinternet.com/blog/12/01/24/cant-buy-me-laws-congress-must-give-back-chris-dodds-dirty-money
  2. you wouldn't believe how many people come to my friends used car lot that only sells cars between 1k and 4k. typically they're all around the 2-2500 mark. and ask about a car fax on them. I just kind of laugh inside and explain to them why a car fax report is useless especially for a car in that price range. like you said, if the car was totalled and rebuilt it will be on the title already. he can't hide that. carfax is like the bbb. they made themselves out to be some kind of authority on something but in reality they're no more than a gimmick trying to make a living riping people off like the people they are claiming to protect you from. if you guys never heard about the BBB scam. just google it...they only exist by telling companies someone made a bad report about your company and to raise you "score" you need to pay the BBB a few hundred bucks (I think it's $400). talk about a racketeering scam. they even tried it to me. I got myself a Federal ID number because I wanted to start a window cleaning company. well I ended up getting my old job back and never did the window cleaning thing. all I ever got to do was put my number on YP.com. I got a call from a lady in TEXAS from the BBB telling me one of my customers just gave me a negative review about my services. LOL oh and guess who offered to raise my rating back to an A if I paid them a few hundred bucks...lol I never had any customers. she didn't know what to tell me other than I need to pay a fee to get my score back up. I told her the BBB is a scam and hung up.
  3. don't waste time with paying for car fax either. if someone can do it for free then ok. but that shit is a waste of money. for one, unless anything was reported to the police or dmv, you won't know jack shit. my bike will say it was purchased by me and that's it. but it's been crashed 4 times.
  4. I don't know about that cart but the large red us general tool boxes are way better built with more features than craftsman tool boxes. for instance the drawers lock when they shut. the handle lifts up as you pull it to unlock the drawer. that's nice if you have to move the box around all the time so they don't slide open. I've been itching to buy a new box because my craftsman is falling apart. all the little tabs that hold the drawers in can't handle 40lbs of stuff in them and keep bending and the drawers are falling out. and they have the nerve to ask $140 for it. it's a tie for me between those us general boxes and a kobalt from lowes. everything else is over priced and nowhere as well built. I was at sears a few weeks before christmas and I was just laughing how flimsy and cheasy they felt. the drawers had massive amounts of slop in them and everything. you grab the kobalt box at lowes and the drawers are nice and smooth and have very little slop in them.
  5. laps used? sizes? location? I might be interested for the right price.
  6. I like those us general tool boxes. the sad thing is they seem way nicer than any craftsman boxes that costs 3 times more.
  7. but your cell phone doesn't need any permissions right?
  8. it's more work than just buying one I can promis you that. unless all you got is time and patience. I made a few things for my bike. http://www.flickr.com/photos/serpentracer/sets/72157616896803108/ anyway, there are tons of videos on youtube. but I like this place a lot better since they have their own how to videos with advanced techniques and carbon fiber etc too. http://www.fibreglast.com/category/Learning_Center
  9. home depot sells those. over in the carpet isles. http://www.homedepot.com/Decor-Area-Rugs-Mats-Door-Mats/h_d1/N-5yc1vZba81/R-100618129/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053
  10. I tried to find a link to that proxy server that is specifically for people to use to download torrents but I can't find it. because most proxy's will slow the connection down quite a bit. it wouldn't slow the connection down that much but you did have to pay for it.
  11. I had one of those too. then hotwheels made some that had doors that would flip over to a smashed up one. I also had that hotwheels car wash too. damn man I forgot about all this stuff lol
  12. holy shit I had shit like that too. I forgot about the chemistry set and rockets.
  13. the most bad ass toy I ever had was a tyco race track. I built tracks all over my bedroom and the living room in every frigging shape I could imagine.
  14. your ip cannot be seen by anyone when it's routed through a proxy.
  15. another way to do it is download through a proxy server. it keeps your ip anonymous so no one can tell where you're from or who you are. http://www.hidemyass.com/
  16. that's correct. you should read all of their legal letters and their responses. it's comedy gold. http://thepiratebay.org/legal
  17. lol, check out what pirate bay says about sopa.... http://static.thepiratebay.org/legal/sopa.txt here's your answer to that question about stopping tpb... SOPA can't do anything to stop TPB. Worst case we'll change top level domain from our current .org to one of the hundreds of other names that we already also use. In countries where TPB is blocked, China and Saudi Arabia springs to mind, they block hundreds of our domain names. And did it work? Not really.
  18. are you talking about the pirate bay? then probably can't touch them. they don't have anything stored on servers. the industry has tried and failed in the past to put a stop to torrents. the best they could ever do was shut down napster. torrents are just a tool. just like firefox is. going after a torrent link site is like going after mozilla for letting you use your browser to find the sites that link to torrents. the best hope for the industry with torrents are calling your isp about your download history. which they can monitor pretty easily. they tell your isp what you've been downloading they in turn send you a letter telling you to stop or they will have to take legal action. so that's where software like peerblock come in. it blocks anyone from seeing your downloads. and trust me, when it's running you be frigging amazed who and how many places are watching you on the internet.
  19. so when is the industry going to start going after the guy who loans his buddy his movie? because people have been doing that ever since the vcr came out.
  20. why do you have to keep anything hush hush? or are you worried about letting everyone down?
