I wouldn't know without a set of feelers in my hands and your bike in front of me. lol but .23 -.30 is kinda big. if your min for the exhausts valves were .23 for example and you couldn't get the .23 under it. you know it needs adjusted but not how much. now you have to slide the one feeler under it that just slightly drags on it. that is your measurement. my factory manual has a chart to go by to determine what size you need based on your measurement and what they installed. take mine for example, my exhausts measured .19. (the min is .23mm) they installed a 185 pad. following the chart, if my measurement was between .19-.22 and the 185 pad, I need a 180 pad. and it put my new measurement dead center of the specs again.

dude .25-.30 mm is a huge number in valve specs. that's the "in spec" limits of mine.

the reason you're picking up so many stations now is because of the digital signal. the drawback to a digital signal is if it's weak...it pauses. instead of like the old days it would just be fuzzy.

I feel ya on the mods/maint thing. I've been doing stuff I've never really wanted to do before. after seeing my buddy's 04 R6 put down 116.5hp at the dyno (typical R6 is right at 100 +/- 1-2 hp) I have been itching to buy all the same stuff for mine. lol his bike can walk mine like 10 bike lengths in a race to 110. MUST GET SAME STUFF lol so far I've done 1. valve adjustment 2. graves slide stops 3. bmc filter (best option for the R6) 4. factory pro +4 ignition advancer 5. power commander 6. factory pro super flare V stacks 7. I'm putting a set of 05 throttle bodies on mine. they're bigger than the 03/04 bike's. (he doesn't have that mod muhahahah) so I had to get the 05 airbox that fits on the throttle bodies. and a few other things that I wanted... 1. adjustable rearsets 2. double bubble windscreen 3. new ferodo sinter grip pads 4. had front rotors resurfaced at a machine shop 5. removed the AIS (air injection system) 6. and a new paint job (I paint my own stuff) and I'm going to take it to DTM in a few months to get a custom tune. but I'm going to load the map from his bike first just to see if I get the same or close to his 116 mark. might not work right with the 05 throttle bodies though.

well I got to hand it to cycle specialties. I ordered a new bmc filter on sat and it was at the shop on wed. and they're closed on monday. that must mean they put orders in right away. and the price was pretty much what it would have been to order it online with shipping. we need to talk about their tire prices though. lol

well if you want to get technical I see 4 spots for screws....4X's the worry? besides, slide it all the way in to make a shorty. isn't the idea of a shorty to help keep it from touching the ground?

my hp has a asus motherboard. in fact it has all name brand parts stock. hitachi hard drive hyundai memory (odd I know) asus mother board with Nvidia north and south bridge chips Nvidia graphics card antec power supply samsung dvd burners Nvidia network card antec fans Realtek HD 7.1 surround sound card HP is a lot better than dell and compaq (hp owns compaq) and probably gateway as well. although gatways have become a lot better too. nothing is better than one you build from scratch though.

face book is such a bad idea. I know everywhere you look about running a business you see the do the facebook crap to promote your company yada yada yada...but you can't control people from making bad comments on your page for the whole world to read. I do it to companies that burnt me. take the berry company for example. you probably even heard of them. you called to have your phone number in the yellow pages. yeah good luck dealing this those people. they are very disceitful with how the conduct their business. and expect to shell out a few hundred bucks a month just for a simple phone listing in one single category. and when you tell them no thanks a few days later they tell you tough crap it's already a done deal when you asked about the price. then they report you to the BBB if you don't pay up.

yeah andy rode the living piss out of that thing. the first gen R6 (99-02)were known for a 2nd gear issue as well. yamaha used only 3 dogs on the gears. in 03 they added 2 more for a total of 5 and no one had issues since.
