Wife breeds the Ball Pythons, the rest are pets. Some of the herd will be thinned out sooner or later. New laws may make it very cost prohibitive to keep the Burm. IMO the Burms have the best personality and fun factor, they just get huge. Boas are great too. Retics are nasty, Balls are kinda boring. If anyone has any snake related questions I'll happily answer them. Boas: Young Adult Hypo Jungle - 6' male Young Adult Suriname - 7' female "Teen" Snow - 3' male "Teen" Blood Boa - 3' female Young "Something my wife got in a trade" - 2' Balls: Adult Bumblebee - 4' female Adult het Gen Stripe - 4' female Adult het Gen Stripe - 4' female Young Adult Super Pastel - 3' male Young Gen Stripe - 1.5' female Adult Blood Python - 4.5' female "Teen" Granite Burmese Python - 9.5' male Guess there is only 12. My buddy has a GSG-522. It shoots really nice, and has prolly only had 5 malfunctions in 1000 rounds. They have a good balance to them. They are difficult to clean properly since dismantling them is a pain. The stock seems mounted so it sits too high on your shoulder. The trigger pull is a bit long and heavy for my liking. I'd personally go for a modified 10/22...

Not to mention, what kind of fuckstick isn't willing to just say thank you to someone? Hell, I'll even say thank you to the police officer after I get a ticket. It may have not gone my way, but he is still doing his job. Maybe we need to teach please and thank you better in school...

The point trying to be made here is that although the people that enacted the attacks were killed during them, those responsible for planning and setting them into motion were not. If our country leaves those people unharmed and does not hunt them down that will just encourage more terrorist actions. As far as the resources spent, DoD is bleeding this country dry. They are horribly inefficient in almost all they do and they hemorrhage money at all points. No, this conflict should not ever have become a war manned by a conventional force. The funding have gone to discrete SOCOM and Three-Letter-Agencies missions. None the less, the choices were made and the conventional force was moved in. No, I don't agree with the reasoning we are over there. Did I still sign up and do my part? Yes. And I will always thank military personnel for their sacrifice. Not for fighting in a war, or if they support the politics. Because they stood up and said they would do what was needed when others would not. Because they were willing to give it all to protect those fighting with them on their left and their right. Because they put other priorities above their own.

Another thing, as a service member, I do not feel entitled to be thanked by others. That decision is all on them. I do appreciate those that offer thanks because they respect what we do.
-
Everyone gets the compensation they earned. Saying you paid a service member exempts your from thanking them in any other manner is wrong. I agree that volunteer firefighters and police officers also make sacrifices and that is to be commended. They also get to do their work and go home every day. They deserve thanks for helping protect the community. You should thank them because they are doing something that needs to be done and you are not. The military is not just a job, it is a way of life. It effects every aspect of your life, on-duty or off. You are thanking that person for making the sacrifice, albeit knowingly, to give up some of their free will, comforts, joys and personal safety in order to perform a mission that ensures your way of life. You are thanking them because the country said who will help us complete this mission and they stood up when you did not.

I'm not sure. I can't find a good picture of the Aldi's in question. Seems like after the incident they moved the sign to a less visible location. The shooter's quote of "...not suffering any repercussions for practicing my constitutional right", leads me to believe that he didn't care about the sign. Just seems like if the state has a law that allows businesses to prohibit weapons, and then that law is violated and the state not only doesn't press charges, but applauds the shooter, they might as well remove the law about the signs.

We've got 15 constrictors at home... and all are better pets than any cat or dog.

I've been in for a few years, and did a year overseas as well. I understand where this Marine is coming from. Sometimes those times are just completely boring, and you feel like you are contributing nothing. In reality, a small percentage of the military ever will see a firefight or combat. FOBs getting mortared or rocketed is a whole different thing though. A certain percentage will also not deploy. That is just the way it is. The military is huge, and any combat job requires lots of support to make their job successful. Everyone that signs on the line and swears an oath gives up something. Even if you just want to kill people you still are going to go through plenty of suck just to get the opportunity. We sacrifice time with family and friends to be stationed/deployed elsewhere. We have to follow rules on and off duty that limit our lives in a manner that no other civilian job ever would. We always have to place out mission above everything else, including our happiness or our lives. I could go on and on, but the point is that the sacrifice and service is not just getting shot at. It is altering your way of life in order to follow standards and rules. It is deciding to put other's needs and wants about your own. None the less, everyone that joins gave up something in order to serve their country. They may have been unhappy or had low point, but they stood up and said I will do what my country needs of me. That is more than about 90% of the population can say. That alone gets you at least a "Thank you for your service". Those that gave limb (Any life changing injury) should be applauded and offered any help they request. Those that gave life should be honored and saluted whenever possible.

Old story BTW, http://www.jsonline.com/news/crime/aldi-customer-wont-be-charged-in-shooting-sk42et0-138688529.html He fired 6-7 rounds, and hit the suspect in the leg and the forehead. The suspect then dropped his shotgun and fled. After a shot in the forehead.... The shotgun was also unloaded. Dumbass criminals.... I applaud the guy for drawing and firing only when he had a clear shot. It seems he also waited until he had no other choice and only fired when faced with potential lethal danger (Suspect aiming at him). However, I think for the state to not charge him is a bad thing. Although the fact he was carrying did foil the robbery, he was breaking the law by doing so. Now the state of Wisconsin is telling every CCW permit holder that they can ignore all the signs and prohibited places as long as they act accordingly. Sounds like a bad idea to me. And for the love of god, Target Practice....

I'm bad at nutrition. Bad food just tastes too good. I do about 4 hours of cardio a week, split between the elliptical and the bike. I do an hour of body weight resistance abs and upper body. My OT has me doing a modified wall sit with a exercise ball supported between the thighs to strengthen the lower quads for faster transitions. It sucks, but that prolly means its working. I'm also using light resistance to build up neck muscles.

So I know I'm way late on posting all of these. I forgot my camera when I came back down here so it took a minute. They are mainly pics of my buddy and I, but there are a few Intermediate riders and Coaches on there too. https://picasaweb.google.com/110045175012548011709/MidOhio13May2012#5750958519628902930

+1. I agree with the previous post, using all the tire means you're not using enough of your body. At least at the amateur level... Really crappy cell pics Front Rear

http://tracktalk.nesba.com/showthread.php?t=24345 04 750 with a decent collection of goodies. I rode this one, and then went for a 600 since it's my first track bike. Really nice seller too. Clean title, and the suspension was set for 190# I think.

+1 Hell, in the UK, they move over for motorcyclists to allow them to pass even on small roads. I wish our driving standards in the US were half of what Europe has. Korea, not so much...
-
Legal, yes. Also annoying, dangerous, and a pet peev of mine. A little patience on the rider's part, and a little situational awareness on the cager's part and the whole situation is avoided. I'd love to see a law written and enforced that required you to yield to the right lane when approached by faster moving traffic whenever safely possible. Then following that a law prohibiting passing on the right. Of course the cage was still wrong for entering his lane while he was occupying it. I think the proper response is a expanding police baton to beat their car with.
-
Sucks. But you did pass on the right....

Sorry for your loss. I'm really happy that you got that time with him. Being able to spend those last days and moments with him is the greatest gift you could have given him. It will also help your healing because there are no regrets to focus on, just fond memories. Still sucks and will hurt a lot for a while. Let us know if we can do anything.

+1 to being the ugliest firearms made. Everyone I've shot has experienced FTF and FTE malfunctions. Bitch to clean usually. 9mm Carbine was really fun and accurate.

I'm not saying I wouldn't have shot her, eventually. But shooting at a target in the dark is just a bad idea. I'll take that extra second to ID a target before I shoot. I mean what if I shot a neighbor's kid who was looking for help? Or if I miss since I'm just shooting into the dark, and the bullet punches through the wall and kills a neighbor, or family member? (All very unlikely "what if" scenarios, but still) I just don't like taking a shot with that many unknowns. Of course if I hear someone breaking into my house and rapidly moving through the place I might give a warning call but their getting shot when they clear the threshold of the door. And, yes, I can and have woken up with the immediate response of grabbing a weapon and light. But that's from training and life experiences. I'm not sure if I really sleep deeply anymore.

I agree that I would be feeling in danger if a random person showed up in my home and wasn't responding to verbal commands. I always would want to visually verify my target before firing. (That is why there is a light on the nightstand next to my pistol). She did not sound like she was moving quickly, and more so like she was moving slowly and clumsily, which should have given time for a light to be turned on. However, with both homeowners already having to deal with perpetual stalkers, I can see how the situation would be a bit more fear motivated than normal. Of course visually verifying your target just tells you who you are going to shoot. If she still does not respond to commands after the lights are on, and continues to presents what you interpret as a threat, then she gets shot. Now if I feel the intruder is really just there by mistake and means no harm, I am willing to try a different response. That different response still keeps a pistol in my hand, a space bubble between me and the intruder, and my wife with a clear LOS and the shotgun on the intruder. Sadly, the homeowners will likely get sued over this. That light thing is helpful for shot placement too.

Seems that all these "Zombie" stories lack the key ingredient to being a zombie; you have to be dead and come back to life. However, they do illustrate that people are getting crazier. I'm going to buy more ammo this weekend.

Wow.... Hope for a speedy recovery and RIP. Fucking cages

Yup. When I'm bored arguing with people entertains me as well.
