It doesn't work for everyone BUT my brother met his wife who happened to live in maumee (we are from genoa which is just east of Toledo and Maumee) while he was in IRAQ serving our country. They were in a Toledo chat room together and she didn't believe he was in Iraq until he turned on his webcam. hehe. Now 4 years later they have 2 beautiful children and are happily married moving around the country from city to city (he's in the coast guard now...moved to homeland security). Now I do have to admit that they talked for 9 months b/f he got home and the first day he got in town they did sleep together but my brother was already in love with her. She got pregnant 6 months later and got married after my little hunter bug was born. Although NOBODY in my family likes her they are very happy together. "Some" internet relationships do work out. It's a woman's fault for a guy having the ability to make it "all" sexual if she gives it up the first or second time they are together. It worked for my sister in law but my brother is and has always been a relationship oriented guy. He's always been honorable and NEVER cheated on a girl even when they treated him like crap. Just my opinion anyway. And FYI...I didn't meet either of those idiots online. I meet them in person.

I know I do divert the whole direction of threads...very often. I knew Micheal wouldn't care that's why I crapped in his thread. I'm too lazy to start a whole new thread and keep up on it.

Thanks for posting! Micheal (zerocrash) and I were discussing this on the phone again today and we were kinda suprised that nobody else was really wanting to give some input here. I know the fellas AND ladies have opinions. I put my buisness out there for a reason. I can handle a**holes like this but I think many women are very naive about men and their intentions....and vise versa. I agree that the first one probably had poor intentions towards me and that's the vibe that I picked up on the first time we went out. That's why I did a search once I was home (he never got a return call...hehe). The second one...well we had mutual acquaintences and everyone that knows me knows no booty will be given from this gal! Anyhoo, thanks all who did give their opinion! I know these r girly discussions but I luv them!!!

I FINALLY have a contractor coming over tomorrow to fix my fireplace. I am converting it over from one of those extremely tall prefabs to a direct vent. I haven't bought the inside components yet. Does anyone have one of these and how do u like it? Also how many BTU's do u have? How powerful of a blower? I've done "some" research but I hate to be a "single" female at the contractor's mercy. He's telling me I "might" b able to convert my existing fireplace over to a direct vent but doesn't know yet until he gets inside the unit tomorrow. If I do need a whole new unit he's telling me it's gonna cost me $1600 just for the fireplace and that is without labor. Yikes. Anyone with any information??? It would be greatly appreciated.

OK....how much would we/I actually get done IF I didn't have my lap top on my "lap" surfing the net while I watch the boob tube and chat on the phone???? Geez!!!

I know micheal but I already told u the other day on the phone how upseting it is when people lie to me. I guess what I need to be able to realize is that others have different boundaries than I do. I am a VERY open person. I don't really have secrets & what u see is what u get. When others are more secretive I get VERY uncomfortable around them. But I cannot tell u how many people I have added to my accounts and not ever look at their profiles. Kinda sad I know but I get so busy sometimes...and then waste tons of time on OR.

Hahahaha....I never "pick" them. As Carrie Underwood would say..."some hearts get luck sometime".....mine is just being a bit pickier lately. :D:D I have actually met some really good guys lately but I just pointed out the 2 losers of the bunch. I'm one of those people that always wonder what people's motives are for their behavior. Maybe i should have been a psych major instead. hehe. Plus Ananda I believe I already told u about the one in my intoxicated state.

Ya...now don't get me wrong I believe that everything truly does happen for a reason. The first guy...well....I told u about the default pic. the second guy and I had a lot of mutual acquaintances and many, many people told me it was a blessing that I found that information out b/c he was well....not a nice guy to the ladies (i'm being VERY nice now).

OMG...he's so young. Will be praying for a COMPLETE recovery with NO residual effects!!!!

I agree Brian. There are still good men out there. They are either married OR so hurt, bruised, and torn up from women crappin on them they're scared to take another chance. :lol:

But why LIE? When people lie to me and I find out I am DONE immediately. I don't lie to people. I'm just a very blunt person and if I hurt a person's feelings by what I feel is the truth then well...... All they would have to say is I don't feel comfortable adding you yet. Plus, I ALWAYS start out as friends with men initially. If something happens they good but if not then there can always be a friendship that's gained from it. I don't use my myspace/facebook as a dating tool. My myspace is pretty much for email and so I can steal pics from all my friends and family that is scattered through out the country. My facebook is mainly for my "college" buddies from undergrad & grad school. Anyhoo, thanks 4 ur honesty....sure does shed some light on matters. I'm still not losing hope that there are still honest, good MEN (not boys) out there. And FYI, we ALL have control over comments, etc. on myspace. It's called comment approval. I have it b/c I did deal with crazy guys competing a couple years back.

So I have to ask a question to all u guys out there since we are on the subject of myspace. The last month I have meet 2 different guys who both told me they did NOT have myspace or facebook accounts (I should really start a whole thread over this one...hehe). To make 2 long stories short they both lied to me (I was on the phone when I asked and was able to check while talking). My question: with today's technology why in the world would a guy lie to a girl when he knows it is soooooo easy to check out the story? The one guy even had his freakin girlfriend as his default pic on both accounts AFTER I had gone out with him. Yikes!!! One time I would have blown it off....2 times I start to wonder if this is getting to be a common occurence. Just wondering what some people's thoughts r on this subject???

OK so in the thread I started last week mostly everyone told me to get the PP's. What is the difference b/t the tires b/c as I wrote in the PM they are the same price shipped as the conti's. Anyone feel free to chime in here. I don't know anything about tires. The only reason I know I need a new pair is b/c Micheal (zerocrash) noticed it!!!

I am not going to speak for all churches but I know my church does TONS for our community...especially the inner city and prisons (families of incarcerated moms & dads). I give 10% of my net pay to my church (tithe) b/c I believe in the mission of our church. We have blood drives several times per year....house health fairs...etc. etc. There are several other things we do as well. for instance we have an outreach in our church to the public for support groups. I am a facilitator of a soon coming support group called women with an expected end which is directed towards survivors of childhood incest and sexual abuse. My church has TONS of other groups offered as well. You can't put a price tag on that kind of help to the community. Not all churches but most churches are there monetarily, emotionally, and spiritually for the community in which they reside.

And to top off everything I wrote up there......everyone is soooo pretentious out there. I am too down to earth to deal with them people every day. I like you wanted to move to somewhere warm that I could ride every day of the year. FYI, I like to run and when I visited there in the summer, especially august I had to have my run in my 6 or 7 or I couldn't tolerate the heat. Either desert heat or winter....pick ur poison.
