  1. Not really a car project itself but something that will help me with my next car project for sure. My wife and I bought a home this fall. I was really looking for 3-car garages, but this place had everything we were looking for family-wise so I had to settle for a 2-car and park my DD outside. The good news is that it's slightly larger than the average 2-car at 21'x23' so I'll have enough room up front for a workbench and it has 10.5' ceilings so it feels open/big. I won't be doing anything extravagant with the space, so no lift. I could put in a 4-post if I wanted likely, but don't see the justification right now. No compressor either, I made my choice to use electric tools and I'm happy with it. What I do want is a clean functional space that I can use to work on my vehicles and not have look like crap all of the time. Here's my plan of attack for the simple updates: 1. Floor 2. Paint 3. Lighting 4. Work bench 5. Electrical 6. Insulation (none in the attic above currently) Ongoing/Forever- organization and cleanup - this will be a constant battle as we can't have a shed due to HOA rules so I'll have to keep yard work shit in the garage. I'll also have to use my basement storage as much as possible to hold car parts and spares so that I can keep the garage to just the needed materials.
  2. FD owners always come back after trying to go another direction. It's a curse. I will say though that finding a nice FD in today's market is very tough. Be prepared to see a lot of hacks or pay a lot (compared to the last time you bought) for a clean example.
  3. Posting for a friend. The pics suck I know but I can get more if you have specifics you want to see. Street lite billet specialties. 15x6 front and 15x10 rear. 5x4.75 bolt pattern with 3.5" back spacing. Tires are Mickey Thompson Radials 6"x28" and 12"x28". Only about 100 miles on the whole setup. Decided to go another direction. Asking $1650 for everything. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/D3D1546F-D161-4A53-8FFC-3D7AFD52564A_zpszurbswxm.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/6D5937D2-26B0-4920-A998-BF0B8F03E287_zps2dmz0zgb.jpg
  4. Whether or not you believe in the effects of radon I can tell you this. The real estate market (agents, inspectors, and therefore buyers) have all grabbed onto the radon notion and are not letting go. That means if you're trying to sell a home and it's got above a 4.0 level, you're going to be asked to mitigate it. You can tell them that is bullshit all you want, but it won't matter to a buyer, they will want it done. So Bob, if you're buying, it's better that they already paid for the system. Otherwise you'll just delay paying for one when you try to sell.
  5. My rx8/renesis knowledge is limited, but when is the last time the plugs were changed? Any good/easy way to test coils and ignition?
  6. Time to put away cars for the winter! I'd like this gone. $40.
  7. Lol. It's funny cause it's true
  8. Better they pay for it than you! As long as it's well done and not a hack job then move forward.
  9. Andy's advice I'm this thread has been spot on. Brembo blanks if available, or stoptech slotted (no drilled). Carbotech xp10 to start, xp12 when you need more heat capacity. Buy good fluid and keep it fresh. As for the ABS, even a 90s ABS system is better than nothing, but I'm also not sure how it'll like having different components on it that it wasn't designed for. You'll have to test that one out, but try to keep it before ditching it.
  10. Bump this up. Just in time to store a car for the winter.

BTW is that first table you posted really just 2x4s with stain on them? It looks great.

French cleat stuff is awesome, I just wish I had a way to make it easily on my own.
  13. Ask them if you can get a further discount by paying prior to the procedure. I've heard that's the cheapest way to do it out of pocket but never actually tried myself.
  14. I have our Snugride that has served us well. It's cheap because it's 4 years old. Guidance from Graco is 6 year life, so if you're having a baby soon this will work till they outgrow it. Comes with an additional base so you can have 2 cars covered. The extra base is like $35 on its own. I'd like $40 for everything. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/0235B90A-6403-465A-B772-0EE5FFBCF77E_zpsitjeddyc.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/4190D501-2225-4BB6-BE08-945612B8CA3F_zps5hbbnw7j.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/245E50C8-6B80-469A-82F4-22B850CF721F_zpsvcyi3hqq.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/95D40E38-3890-4E42-8326-AA39FAAE6ACC_zpssypt82xg.jpg

  16. Router model WRT160N. Works great I just upgraded to an AC band router. $30 http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/548D83E8-2013-4D11-88CC-670F763DA7DC_zpsjpzr11mu.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/C14889B4-895F-4334-9E2F-2E2BEEE15445_zpsbkm61iyx.jpg
  17. I used it in my separated one car garage in the past without issue but it was also not insulated or what I'd call air tight. The best option is if you can leave it running by a door that's cracked open so that it's pulling oxygen to burn from outside (trust me it'll overpower the cold when running). Brad, I got your PM, and I'll text you later this morning.
  18. Date code on the tires is the 47th week of 2013 for those that have asked.
  19. Up for sale is my Remington kerosene forced air heater. Works fine and fires right up every time. Will come with some kerosene in the unit and an empty kerosene jug. $50 http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/40FC73F7-2222-4172-8FEF-B6933768D40E_zpsudzdxtx9.jpg
  20. The wheels have been sold. Tires still available and in great shape.
  21. Not sure if Defined is still tuning PFC's or not. Otherwise the safest bet is to go to Banzai Racing in Indiana.
  22. Can't say I've heard of the Mid Ohio Sports Car Club, but I've been going to the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course since I could walk. I also don't normally shorten it to letters though either. So since we're already side-tracked, tell me more about the club?
