  1. Damn, you guys are lucky. Anytime I've gone over they've always helicoptered over me trying to get me to buy anything they could. I'm always saying "No, I'm completely satisfied with what I have. I have no need for a <insert bike name here>"
  2. Is it currently capable of being driven even just a short distance without overheating?
  3. I bought 2 bikes(had the first one for 3 days, got hit by a lady in an SUV cause she forgot I was infront of her at a stop sign) from Honda Northwest as well. They will treat you really well and with alot of respect. They also tend to have a good inventory of bone stock bikes.
  4. You'd be amazed by how many people miss that memo. Main reason it's not legal in most states.
  5. Actually at over 40mph drafts off of other cars can make it dangerous.
  6. Born and raised in San Diego, so that kinda stuff is not new to me, though with how that guy was doing it he would have been pulled over in a CHP saw him simply because the biker's speed can't be over 35 when doing the lanesplitting(it's legal to allow bikers to just go fowards in stop and go traffic and have them be in less danger)
  7. Sadly, no. Longest pipes and highest handlebars.
  8. Apparently it isn't a PS. It has been seen at multiple bike events. It's a bike made to break 2 different records.
  9. The goldwing is a great bike, still looks like something out of a sci-fi movie to me. Good luck on the sale!
  10. I actually found putting some wax on your visor helps deal with rain running.
  11. I've never felt those raindrops. I suppose my jacket, gloves, helmet and boots help prevent the feeling of rain pelts. June Bugs on the other hand.....
  12. As long as I'm not having to run on the highway I don't find it much of a problem. D220s though do poorly in the rain.
  13. It's looking to be more narrowed down to the Street triple 675 and the SV series(it's a bit toss up between the 650 and the 1000). The monster while a beautiful bike requires more maintenance and care then either him or I really want to have to do(I do alot of the bike maintenance simply because it's not hard for me to do both bikes at the same time and takes only maybe 5 minutes extra).
  14. I refer back to the line "And I know what you're thinking now, he's going to look towards one of the RR sportbikes. Nope, that's not it." He's pondered the SV650 as well. I know I own one and love it.
  15. You can just do walk ins. That's what I did.
  16. So he's been riding a Bandit 600 for a bit now and is looking to upgrade mainly because while it's a great bike for learning and for highway cruising, it lacks in the department of making you feel comfortable getting into the turns. And I know what you're thinking now, he's going to look towards one of the RR sportbikes. Nope, that's not it. The three bikes he's kinda at a toss up on are the following: Ducati Monster S2R 1000 Triumph Street Triple 675 Suzuki SV1000S So what'd be the pros and cons on each of those? Any others that would be particuarly noteworthy to add into the collection?
  17. My bad on that. I thought I remembered the Exige being an open top. Still a shame to see.
  18. According to a few police officers I've talked to alot of the people who don't have a permit and decide to ride all out also don't have insurance. They don't feel like paying for any of that(I knew someone with that kinda mindset. He was really an arrogant prick as well)
  19. Well ya know what they say: "Jersey Girls arn't trash......trash gets picked up."
  20. That's actually an extiege. How the roof is done and the hood(as well as the color) make it out. I'm guessing he clipped something up front and with how the body is made it tore enough of that section of the pannel that it all just came off. Gunna be expensive as heck to replace, as you can't really spot repair it, any damaged section of the body has to be completely replaced. Shame, it's a damned sexy car.
  21. Where was the body damage?
  22. If I remember correctly it's possible to get a bike started on an almost dead battery then pin the throttle at about 4k to recharge it.
