  1. Alot of bikes won't run without the battery attached for very long simply for the point that you can idle your battery to the point of being dead(at idle the engine saps more energy than the alternator can put into the battery). As for your second question, if you're caught with no endorcement the bike is impounded there on the spot. As for learners permit on the hwy, after dark, etc, by the book the cop is suppose to impound the bike and give you a ticket, though depending on your record, how you act towards the cop, what you're riding, what you were pulled over for, what you're wearing(fully geared as opposed to a t-shirt and shorts), they may let you off. If you get pulled over with a permit and no helmet though most Ohio cops will be very quick to impound the bike.
  2. That's probably a reason I don't go for loud exhausts on my bike. Don't have to worry of such.
  3. All I hope is that the guy has receipts for all the work he did on the car, otherwise the insurance company will give him the KBB of his car.
  4. Step 1. fix your spelling, grammar, and sentence structure. Step 2. fix the common image of sportbike riders that has been developed by large numbers of people who ride around believing they need to do stunts every which place they can and bounce off the rev limiter in first gear in a residential zone. Step 3. ???? Step 4. Profit!
  5. Isn't it a saying "The greatest fighters are the ones who don't want a fight."? From a few years of riding, best thing I've found is to just get out of their way. Better to leave them alone and let them eventually bring their own end rather than piss them off directly and become another statistic.
  6. Grove City does have a church with alot of motorcyclists that tend to go to Church on their bikes. Probably part of it.
  7. Sounds like a winner of something to go after. Would be fun to fix.
  8. The kbb isn't even 1200 for excellent condition. You're really asking too much.
  9. If the chain had some rust on it from lack of lube a part coulda bunched and is making it feel tighter.
  10. Sounds like your clutch may be off in adjustments. Have you adjusted the clutch cable at all at the transmission? And just for checks, how clean is your chain?
  11. So because you've only had your bike for 20 days you should get priority over someone who maybe scheduled 3 weeks in advanced or a bike that just got purchased and is having to get it's final checkover done before the day is out? Hinds does have a rather understaffed service department for the amount of work they do. Lets add in they may not have even known of the issues, they didn't follow around the original owner during all his rides to see how he pushed in, and dealerships don't do redline stress tests, they do basic checkovers to make sure it's running and things seem proper. You're also running a sporty triumph, a bike that is known for needing much more attention to basic maintenance than most japanese sportbikes. While most service work that I can't do myself gets done at Honda Northwest for me, I've talked to the Hind's service department and they're at least skilled people who try to get things done quickly. Settle down, the world doesn't revolve around you.
  12. Mind if I be curious and ask what made you decide to sell it? I also will mention he's about 600 under NADA value on the bike, so you're getting a good price on it.
  13. Personally I'd never trust allstate, though that's simply from the point that if you get any physical injury and you have to make a claim through them you have to get a lawyer and a court date cause they will fight you to skimp you on pay.

    new bike

Fwiw Iron Pony currently has a decent amount of overpants on clearance.
  15. So did you collect up any of the parts as souvenirs?
  16. Heh, interesting. I was figuring it'd have something to do with it's....umm....quasi-unique fairings.
  17. Eh, there are some who like the look. I'm not one of them. And where'd the name tuna come from? I've heard it used before but never did really know.
  18. The offramp onto sunbury from 161W has a nice giant patch of dirt sitting on it a bit more leftward at the beginning of the turn. It gave me a little bit of slide when I went over it, I probably got more lucky than anything. Thought I'd send out that mention.
  19. Ya do know the engine in a Katana is a detuned and sleeved GSXR600 engine? Same engine that's actually used in the 600 Bandit. For about 300 dollars you can switch out the internals and rejet the engine to have the same power as the GSXR600, or someone can just go get the engine from a junkyard and do an engine swap. I'd say go look into an engine swap rather than neons. I can say they don't help your ability to be seen on the road(I've used LEDs to attempt to make myself more visible) so the only real purpose they serve is to have on when you feel like sitting and posing next to the bike, and the Katana is not much of a bike to pose next to. I'd suggest using the money on something such as high quality tires or a suspension swap(If I remember correctly the rear shock on those wern't sprung well if you were over 160). It'd give you a much more stable feeling on your turns at around apex. That's my 2 cents.
  20. I do believe that statement goes into the same category as "Here, hold my beer."
  21. Can I call dibs on the rims and forks when you crash it?
