  1. I have a pull down screen that's 60 inches wide... It could still be available even if I'm not. Depends on date, and whether or not I'm hunting.
  2. Thanks, but it's more common than you might think. Just requires more periodic practice throughout the year, and there's plenty of really fun shoots during the summer. I was the secretary for the Ohio Society of Traditional Archers for a few years (www.tradarchers.org) and it's a lot more fun than the more modern equipment based clubs I've been involved with. Here's an older pic of me from the Great Ohio Rabbit Hunt
  3. With four climbing sticks and Lone Wolf hang on I'm usually between 16 and 20 feet, depending on how far apart the sticks are spaced. Plenty high for me and the recurve. Looks a lot lower because I'm downhill from him. The problem I've found with higher setups is the increased angle of the shot. I don't shoot past 30 yards, for several reasons, and it's much easier to get a double lung from my height setup. This is the buck I shot at the same spot last year. Eighteen yards and it was a steep angle. Still managed to get both lungs and he piled up after about 50 yards.
  4. This one played peekaboo with me at 30 yards. Can't see it in the picture, but off screen to the left is a doe that he was hanging out with. Saw two other bucks and half a dozen or so does, including a small doe that literally walked under my stand.
  5. I have the older model MSR Whisperlight that's white gas only. Backpacked with it in Colorado and never had an issue. Back that up with trioxane bars if all you want to do is get water hot without breaking out the stove.
  6. Trusty calendar says action will get progressively hotter during the last three weeks of the month.
  7. Thanks. Missed that. Doh. "A new dashboard houses a digital speedometer/tachometer plus gear position indicator, ambient temperature gauge, fuel consumption informationand clock. There’s also an indicator for the 5-stage heated grips, which are fitted as standard"
  8. Nice! Good looking bike with some nice upgrades. And the dash looks good, but I don't see a gear position indicator (a fairly common after-market mod for older bikes like mine).
  9. ^ +1 Bad ones mess up your day. The dumb ones get you killed...
  10. Great report! Thanks for sharing.
  11. Bullshit. $150 and slapped on the wrist. If that had been one of us civilians...
  12. Just saw this on NewEgg. Good deal if you don't care about ethernet connection... http://www.neweggflash.com/product/15-328-006?utm_source=NFEmail102913&utm_medium=Index&utm_campaign=PLAYER&
  13. An android stick would be nice... I have a Roku box that I got on Woot about a year ago, just cause I was curious and looking for something better to stream Netflix than the Wii console. One drawback to the Roku is there's no capability to surf the web. I keep hoping that there would be an "internet channel" but I don't think that's going to happen. Funny how the old crappy Wii had an internet channel... But then the Wii was limited to 480p. As for HD ota antennas, start here: http://www.antennaweb.org/
  14. "As my son and I were leaving [after the game], the group came charging from behind and said 'Let’s get them,'" she said. "They push through us to get to his friends and start throwing punches. My son wanted to break it up. Then the girl [on the video] was throwing three punches at my son … and with that, my son is just trying to protect himself and me." If I thought she was a threat to me, my mom, or my family, I'd hit her too. But then I wouldn't be at a pro-football game anyway... for a number of reasons.
  15. Dammit! I really want to get into track days next year for a season... This would be freakin sweet!
  16. Nice. Plus one for you... I loves me some knives.
