  1. Instead hes going to feel like hes in the oven for stir fry! . Im going to be last minute registering since my bike isn't due to be fixed till thurs and its going to be a race to get all back together.
  2. A pre-made map may not fix it due to the fact that every bike is different. When I got my 07 tuned by brian, my map was suppose to be close to what I had and we had to start from scratch. Best best is to install the PC3, take it to DTM and get two runs to test Air/Fuel ratios. That will tell you where you are and need to be with graphs/numbers etc.
  3. I've installed a PC3 on my 07 600rr and 07 1000rr. I also uninstalled the pc and reinstalled a Bazzaz on my 600. Let me know if you need any help since I pretty much know the bike inside and out. But honestly, just follow their instructions since its pretty accurate with pictures. The hardest part is getting the TPS sensor out to connect it since its such a small area. 2005-PC3 http://www.powercommander.com/downloads/117/install/411/eng117-411.pdf 05-PC-V with color pics http://www.powercommander.com/downloads/16-023/install/pcv/eng16-023.pdf
  4. Pending I have the bike back together, I'm planning on doing the trackday and races this weekend. Just gonna bring some ibuprofen and pain meds just incase.
  5. Points section for those interested: http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/4510.036 As for speeding becoming a reckless operation, its typically 25+ over the limit and its the standard for prosecutors and officers. Note though, that anything 25+ is also 4 points for speeding alone plus the 4 points from reckless.

Think my Flakjackets were $90-95 from the site. You get a few lens options, but not the good ones. You have to pay full price for the other lenses.
  7. Either this or the Nelson weekend I would like to make. I still have a credit for MO that I can use to get in, but will come down to how fast I get it the bike put together etc. PM-Madcat
  8. I used Alexa from Spyder Leatherworks and she did a great job for me over the winter. I know shes been getting overwhelmed with stuff lately though. A lot of people have also used Bill and been very happy with what hes done and the price/turn around. With BB being in Ky vs Alexa in Wi...shipping might factor in also.
  9. Yeah, the front got all twisted up after running into the mini-wall provided by the other guys spine. Then when his bike used mine as a surfboard off the track, it did the rest in. Even the gas tank got dented in... I already have the Subframe, throttle cables, housing and all other parts needed to fix it up. Just need to get it back, get to work and then get the plastics back and call Chris Kruzel for a set of number plates. I could use my old body work in a jam, but they are pretty cracked up and damaged. Anyways, its my plan to make the trackday weekend and maybe do the races if possible to retest my self and the bike.
  10. If push comes to shove, I'll try to use the old bodywork but it needs some work and repair. But I need to replace the other bits up front. The throttle cables were bent at the tube and are binding/sticking when turned to the right and on the throttle. Nothing good well come from this.
  11. Not sure if I'll be ready by then. My completion date is July 14 for the Front-end/Frame and my plastics are still at pauls. Got a lot of work to do yet also with Throttle Body removal and installing new throttle cables, housing, clip-on bar etc. When it gets back, maybe you can come over and help!
  12. Hope to have bike up and running by this and may try to make it or a Mid Ohio Trackday to test the bike back out since the crash.
  13. Repost of a repost, of a reposted post of a post! http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=78900 http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=78876 http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=78952
  14. As someone with experience in this; 1) You have 24 hours to report the accident to your local police department if you so choose, so if you want to..you still can. You have exchanged information, (Info of driver-Age, DoB/License #, address, phone, and got full insurance information) so you could also just contact your insurance company and let them contact the offending parties insurance to take care of all the leg work. If it happened in a roadway you probably saved the 16 year old a ticket for failure to control, but also risk the family later reversing what they said to you since there was no documented incident yet. Pictures of your bike and the car at the time of crash would have been greatly beneficial to you. 2) Your bike has a bent front end, depending on whats wrong..the insurance may or may not want to deal with it. Triple Trees or Forks are the most likely reason, but could also be the frame. My race bike had the same problem (1.5 degree left twist/wheel was left of center when bars are straight) from my last crash and is in Akron @MPH Ohio-Doug Duane getting fixed to the tune of about $750. 3) Yep, terrible drivers are bad...but young ones just don't have the experience to drive safely. This will probably be something that he/she will remember for a while.
  15. I heart my Vesrah SRJL's over the RJL's anyday of the week. Made a big difference in braking and my confidence in late braking if needed.
  16. Yeah, having that carrot in front of you can really help you push it harder and run good times until you get use to a specific track. I've been in the same rut where its almost like turning laps until you have some competition. I think I was running around the same times last year with my fastest in a 1:04 range. At summit and I just couldn't get below a 1:26 in practice...and I was doing 21/22s last year. Then in races I finally got some balls again and was running consistent 22s and low 21's. Hoping to get down into the 20s and maybe a high 19 to finish the year there. And Solos can be very physically demanding on your body. I remember my first one at Grattan last year...I was screaming "wave the flag in my helmet" lol. Thats why I skip them since they don't pay money anymore and just focus on the sprints. I'd rather have 2-3 fast/short races then 1 long one that drains me. The guys that do those endurance races blow my mind...theres no way I could spend that much time and focus for that long without lobbing it into the treeline.
  17. Grats man, its definitely a different animal compared to a trackday. Sounds like you were running pretty well also, PM me your times since I know wera/mylaps will take a bit...and I'm interested in seeing how much faster I need to pick my pace up If either of you or nate want to go..I'm hoping to make the National at Summit my return weekend on 7/29-31. Pending I can bend my finger enough to grip the bar
  18. Best place would be a shaded, temperature controlled room with controlled humidity. I store mine in a closet with air flow or downstairs in the basement with my dehumidifer. Several others say not to have them near electrical sockets also.
  19. Since I got my enclosed trailer, I'm finally getting around to selling my used double rail folding motorcycle trailer. I got it in 2009 from Sportutilitytrailers.com and its a Model: 746TE-2TS76M with aluminum base and pull out ramp. http://www.sportutilitytrailers.com/LongChih/746TE-2TS76M.htm It has been stored inside when not in use. I also recently rerouted the wiring for better use when folding and replaced most of the light bulbs. It does have some rust on the wheel wells unfortunately as seen in pictures, but nothing terrible. I'm currently in the process of removing it and will be painting it black. This trailer is very light, versatile and could easily be towed by a car or small truck. Natedogg, Madcat, blue03636 and many others have seen and used my trailer for getting to trackdays and races and can attest to how solid and nice it is. Paid over $1100 total new, wanting $650 now. Will come with title of origin, spare tire and I'll even throw in the 2" ball/receiver and an extra utility ramp for loading. PM me or email sc_wcc at yahoo .com
  20. Have fun up there chris, and keep the shiny side up! I'm headed to drop my bike off at MPH for the frame. Hope to be back up and running by the Summit Point National in July. Maybe I could take you or nate with me.
  21. You can't replace the fuel filter on the CBR600rr. Its part of the fuel pump/assembly and you can only get a new one with a whole assembly. So your options are a new one or a used one that you trust to be better then what you have.
  22. Looks like I might be down for a lot longer then I hoped as it looks like the frame is tweaked/bent also. The throttle cables, housing, stop/start switch and front end bearings need replaced also. Due to lack of fundage, not sure what I'm gonna do with the frame
  23. If your wanting to save energy then you can skip the solo, but its nice to have that extra practice also if your feeling questionable. I think beaver would be very similar to nelson in terms of grip, and in the rain it would be pretty good...but just my opinion since I've not done a rain day there. If your not sure, just don't pre-register and show up and eat the $10 or whatever. I didn't pre-register this time as I had two weeks since summit and obviously I'm glad I didn't. =/
  24. Due to this past weekends crash, I wont be able to make this most likely. I may have the bile up and running but doubt I will be healed up enough.
