+1, when i was in new england i found a forum called new england street riders, i didnt come on here to meet people for rides. it was very similar to this forum and illustrates a good point: the purpose of the local forums is to connect local riders. keep it where it is imo.

ive done a 500 miler on my r6, and its like anything else, if you train for it, its easier. when i ride around ohio, i regularly do over 200 miles, and it is not the most comfortable thing in the world, so i guess its up to you. if i was going to be doing all that commuting on a bike, might want to invest in some risers since you already have the bike, but i would have probably looked into getting more of a standard. those are long straight miles youre putting on too, which only makes it worse.

im saying that you couldnt have known. nobody would have known without riding it, and frankly watching a dealer tool around on new sportbikes all day to "inspect" them would make a lot of people more nervous about the bikes condition imo. so i guess its lose lose either way...
