  1. That would suck ass. The chicane is one of the best passing places for trackdays. But no, only cars don't use the chicane. Of the 4 years I have been doing trackdays there and watching AMA they have always use the chicane. It would make the keyhole a different corner though, but the chicane is a blast to hit on a 600. No brakes, roll of load the front pitch in flip back left pick gas up just a hair to keep from washing the front. Roll off slowly and push front as you start to slow down for keyhole. If running hard as you hit apex of 2nd left both tires slide a bit. Stand it up hit brakes and one downshift and then lean in for the keyhole. Why would you want to by pass that??
  2. Yeah I always wondered what the SS build involved. But I know I wouldn't underdstand it even if it was explained. I just twist the gas half way then crawl back sucking my thumb.
  3. You should see Matt tease Ruben about working on the Ducatis It is very entertaining.
  4. Now you can stay closer to Kovack's R750 in the 600 races. I am thinking of just racing the 1k next year to save some $$ to run all N.C. rounds.
  5. Well At least I can now give you a decent draft down the back straight Brian...
  6. Yeah I been chatting with Rueben and Matt the last few weeks. They got my 1k now doing some pidly stuff to get it ready for next year... I want to hit the twilights this year if they don't coincide with WERA rounds.
  7. Yeah I think for newer track riders the lean angles come from slow turn in, early turn in, line choice, things like that. Yeah BP is kind of a strange Phenom. When you look at the top riders they are all on the extreme of the spectrum (Style like Spies/Hopkins then you have AMA factory riders like Larry Pegram in his prime was probably the worst looking BP I have seen of a top rider). If one is comfortable at a certain BP stick with it.
  8. My best is dragging peg of my Six at Nelson in the Last corner. Peg was moved up and back 2 slots on the slots. And it was also shaved from 2 previous crashes on that side. I know it was because of me not getting Body correct.
  9. Yeah i was wandering when Drew would get his sliders. Now he just needs helmet sliders. I have tried a few times at Putnam to get elbow, but not sure if I was withing a inch or so or not. Oh well.
  10. Now that is a scary thought.... Does Cream Cheese Mold????
  11. So that bolt I stole wasn't needed???/ Damn...
  12. There are a few custom places that are reasonable but you are still looking at $900-$1,300 NJK leathers is a top notch company that I have heard great things about. A guy in KY is well known for suits, repairs, and more Name is Barnacle Bill. Nice Guy too, I met him at Putnam in IN two years ago. Two piece is fine for the trackday rider, but most racers do use one piece. One suit you may want to look at is the teknic Violator suit It has elastic leather in the waist area and stretch pannels in the under arm area so the suit doesn't bind when moving on the bike. I got one for the usual price of $500 or so and It is my favorite suit I have owned.
  13. You know how difficult it is for Shitty to type one handed when thinking of Flounder and Asian.... The erratic moving makes it hard to hit the apostraphy key..
  14. No Pictures. except the trackday pics we had. And I got some as we drove to the rainforest mountains.
  15. Do you need me to use smaller words for you???
  16. Yeah but you did share the Garage the first time.
  17. Yeah Joe and I had a good time down there. I lead for the first half through then let him pass and followed the rest. I had just saw the camera and tried to get knee down for the pic... I was a little off that day as I really ain't to crazy about Deals Gap. Now had they been on the Cherehola doing pics the day before it would have been nice.
  18. Ok, not sure what the vid was for. But on my trip to South Africa the shop I was renting from checked out so I couldn't get the bike. So for the weekend I had to ride bitch. 150 mph on the back of a TLR hurst like hell. My neck and back were killing me..
  19. OOOhh the quote game is here. Calling Jimmy 2 Times in to play..
  20. Repsol Jacket in Action. Slow, but in action
  21. Ok, I like the idea of putting my 283 on a shilouette of Flounders mirror. That will make him really pick up the pace so I don't pass him again. But I hope it doesn't confuse him when 283 passes him then is still in his mirror.
  22. Whatever Mr. Black Socks...Your just jealous that I take more cows to make my suits then yours.. I never share my Gerbils.. They get very cranky if I even attempt it And for the record I only let Flounder under my tent once at Mid OH, and borrowed my garage once.. I did tease him with Tire Warmers too, but never again he kept getting that satisfied look everytime he slipped them on.
  23. Sweet I am no longer getting kicked in the Junk. Flounder's fantasies have turned Asian...
  24. I hit my head on all of them to make it hard to point the finger at just one.
