  1. First of all, those two ladies are wives and G/Fs of Brandon and his team tech guy. So, his F-Off comment was probably warranted. I could have wished for a less blunt response, but when people bash the wives or the wives of friends, it kinda turns the screws. Comment about my wife and see what I say... Also, not sure what perfect is? Are you perfect? If you get photos taken of you, do you ask to have the blemishes airbrushed before they are posted? Are they hideous in your mind or the general public? Also, have you ever been to a race to see what the umbrella girls look like? There are some from "Holy shit!!" to "Holy Hell!!" and everything in between. Some teams hire the girls, some are there from sponsors and are available to teams and some are family and friends. Get over yourself... Let's get back to the Pro aspect. He had the paint looking professional (614 Paintworx), he had a pro built motor, had a team of guys and gals to help and run the grid the way the other teams do it. But, when you say Pro, you have no idea what that means. The team he has and himself while are trying the best with what they got, are not professional in every aspect. They do not have a tractor, trailer setup, multiple bikes, posters, multiple riders, personalized canopies, etc. Does that make them shitty? No. Does it mean they aren't trying to be as professional as they can? Yes, they are. If you've never raced at this level, you have no idea how hard it is to even get into the show let alone the amounts of money you need to spend just to be a part of the show. Crew passes, team shirts, paint, decal placement, etc. It is overwhelming and tough for a lot to even try and get there. Your comments are starting to get annoying and it is simply a deal where you are grasping for straws and commenting on things you don't even know about. Quit while you are ahead.
  2. You must work harder than anyone as I do remember the amount of work I do for my job and remember it being somewhat hectic and sacrificing a lot of things. But, those weekends and vacation days I earn, I go to the track. I know it is hard to get even a few days to get to the track. Excuses are cool, but I really doubt you work so much that you couldn't even get a couple of weekends away. And, as I do with anyone, I'd be happy to help if you'd even need it. By your avatar, you look like you have ability and may not need any help, but if you would like some, I'd be able to look past the E-Battles and help. I'm not really an asshole in person. Well, all the time at least. As far as the last mentioned stuff, yes. I do remember some of the antics that were going on. I've seen the videos, etc. I also am siding with you that it was stupid and squid-like. BUT, I also believe that people can change or at least better themselves and from what I see first hand and read on the forums, a lot of them are at the track and several do actually help others in their quest to bettering themselves as track day riders and racers. Again, this turned into what they used to do and even some of the bad things some claim they still do. But, this is a thread about Brandon chasing his personal dream to race AMA and he did it!! I am supporting him in that venture and that quest. What he does in his personal life isn't what I am supporting nor do I care about. Remember a somewhat well known racer named Anthony Gobert? I had the honor of helping him when at Suomy and I can say the guy's personal life was a fucking train wreck. His lack of professionalism to be prompt and take things seriously was VERY poor. But, he was an amazing racer and had a lot of support in many ways. You can support an aspect of someone's life without condoning the other stuff...
  3. Please provide tracking number at your earliest convenience.
  4. If you are going to run a night on your bike in the hopes of learning how to launch better, you best be getting a spare clutch for after... But, it will certainly help. By the way, 8k isn't high enough to launch in a race...
  5. If you need any help, let me know as I could swing over and assist on suspension setup, etc. I think the critical part is traction, but the ability to stay in it w/o upsetting the chassis to the point you need to roll out. I really was a drag racer's kid, but my dad was a car guy. But, the same idea applies I am betting on traction and ability to stay in it all through the pass... Are you pulling the front down and running different rear links or just bone stock? I'd love to at worse just hang and take it all in.
  6. But Madcat likes Man butter because of its sodium content.
  7. Damnit!!! OK, bad reference. How about thinking that Madcat doesn't like Man Butter? That should do it...
  8. I'd consider Sunday, but Saturday is forecasting SNOW!!!
  9. You mean they will? I assume you don't mean you'll be testing it...
  10. Huh? Did you say something? I said I support fellow racers in what they are trying to do. If he does in fact do that stuff, then that's a bummer. But, that kind of info coming from you is about as confidence inspiring as thinking Jbot isn't Asian... Back to the t-shirt stuff. That shit's funny! Oh, and Serpentinebelt - try and stay out of the conversation if you take over a day to respond. M'kay?
  11. Shut your whore mouth. We do not want to hear a peep out of the guy that should've listened to us and been racing this weekend vs. playing in inner city traffic at Putnam. :D
  12. Pretty much 0% Sunday, but Saturday is looking like shit... Here's to at least a few dry sessions!!
  13. Sunday is looking pretty damn good at this point now. It was at 0% last night... Saturday is looking shitty though but, just need to break the motor in so, even if I get a couple of sessions, it'll be fine... Come on, Mother Nature!!! Racing is fun! You should become a fan!!
  14. It's a weird response for sure. Not exactly sure why he stated that also. I will say that if the comments about why race, why even do it if you don't win, etc. are thrown out there, you really need to have experience as a competitor in any sport to make those comments. But, everything else is simply an opinion and totally fine. I think he was frustrated with the way the thread went and totally understand... That's why I joked (statement was true, however) with my posted response... Maybe I get a plaque or something?
  15. Oh, here we go... How is supporting a fellow racer against some of the comments here sucking his cock? Really? Again, I am not sure what your issue is here other than apparently you have been kicked out of the club house down there and are bitter towards him overall. That's fine. I get it. You are sad and bitter. But, wishing someone well and defending what the mentality of a racer is somehow is nut swinging in your book? Again, since this is a situation where you wanna be loud and have the spotlight on you, I'm gonna bow out and let you do your little BS chirping and allow you to shine as you always do... Carry on.
  16. Uh, I have... Numerous times. What do I win?
  17. So... Is the air filter just overly dirty in the OPINION of the new owner or was it chock full of shit like a nest or similar? If it is the first mentioned scenario, understand a few things about buying a used bike. When a dealership takes in a new bike, they go over it fairly well. They look at brakes (you didn't bitch), they look at tires (you didn't bitch), they look at the chain (you didn't bitch), they look at the safety controls like levers, bars, controls, etc. (you didn't bitch), they look at overall condition in terms of bodywork, etc. (you didn't bitch). They should have looked at the air filter as stated above, a lot of times during the spring, there are nests and similar amounts of crap in air boxes. If it were totally packed, they missed that item and you could be bummed out, but honestly, if that was really the only issue, it was a pretty good deal. Now, if it were dirty, they could have looked at it and understand that they could have put money into it to replace those other items or they could have had a good amount into the bike and felt the filter while dirty, wasnt a huge issue and decided to not dump anymore money into it... No matter what occurred or what the real issue is, the bottom line is that you should have called FIRST. I find it funny that people come on and bitch about customer service or bad business (in their minds) without even calling the shop first. Why would you post a thread to essentially smear a company without trying to call and sort it out first. Now, had you called and they told you to fuck off, then I understand. But, now if they say the same thing due to this thread, can you really blame them?
  18. I've seen these guys in action and agree with Red. I was actually pretty good at baseball and went fairly far and almost tried out for the Reds. That being said, I got my ass handed to me in this by a great pitcher... I'd be game to try though!! I may have a solid guy to come along also. Same deal with him except he did go to college and did accept the scholarships he received vs. what I chose... He was also All State and would be able to provide solid play... Just need more info...
  19. MCRA is a joke at this point. As soon as they started to try and share blame put them in the shitter for me. Proof they have the wrong people running the show. Craig, you and I need to take this org over and get it turned right...
  20. Correct. 42/52. US is 52, Euro is 42...
  21. Mags. Thanks for the rep. I honestly do not know how to give rep back. I think you are probably a great guy and I am probably letting my emotions get the better of me with my responses. I DO NOT think you are an ignorant person. Please understand that. Maybe a person not well educated in this sport might be a better choice of words. I apologize if it sounds like I am calling you stupid or anything like that. I just hate to see racers get treated like they are losers or failures because they do not win every event they enter. My son ribs me all the time that I didn't win at the Putnam RRGC against Lewis and Ricky. Gene also... I always feel that if I can run at a level I am accepting of (remember, I am older, have a job, have a family and honestly, no money is to be made), I can feel good about what I gave and what the results were. But, my son always likes to point out that #2 is poop as he says and that 3rd place is like finishing dead last. I know these kids, the talent pool we have in the US for racing and even the amazing Ricky Carmichael got beat at his most recent Loretta Lynns qualifier. Every gets beat. There can only be one guy win one position. There is always a first and a last and the thing I want to be remembered is that the last place guy is also great. It's just respect. Trust me, I have finished in the back of a field before. I've heard the people on the hill at Mid-Ohio say how they could be out there based on their track day times. I've felt angry and sad at the same time after comments. I just know what it takes, what is involved and mostly, the feelings a racer has. Their heart, their soul, their passion...
  22. That's not the point, man. The point is that people that are racers and competitors want to try and succeed. They have goals. Some just want to make a grid in this case and some want to win. Is it realistic that Brandon can beat the guys like Lewis? No. I am willing to bet he knows that. However, if he thinks he can make the grid and participate in the top level of racing in the US, then why not? He made the field. He didn't win, but it isn't t-ball where everyone gets a trophy and a ice cream cone. He spent a shit load of money, took a lot of time off work, put wear and tear on a bike, and probably didn't net anything other than accomplishing a goal he had set for himself. That's the difference between the guy that watches and is a casual fan and a person that has drive to want to be in the show. The competitor vs. the fan is very evident in this case. Nothing wrong with that. but, when the fan acts like the competitor failed and gives really stupid reasons, it is either jealousy or simply ignorance.
  23. Oh, and anyone ever think that maybe he has read this thread that went so damn tangent that even if he did come on and say thanks for the support, it may be hollow and pointless at this stage? He may also feel that if he did, it would turn into a cluster fuck of back and forth...
  24. It is totally fine to have an opinion. However, if that opinion is a result of you not knowing anything about the topic, then it is pointless. Your comments are silly and borderline ignorant. You are saying things that make zero sense and obviously, you are not an enthusiast and simply a rider. Nothing wrong with that, but I don't make comments about how the President of the US is doing his job because I honestly do not know much about government. I can comment on football because I am a huge fan and have been to a lot of games and watched a lot, learned a lot and played a lot. You can asses that the Browns aren't very good or "suck" in your opinion by the way they are compared to the other teams they play. Now, before you go and say Brandon's results sucked when compared to Lewis', understand that even the starting quarterback is one of the best quarterbacks in the world. There are only a set number of teams and number of players chosen. Even the guy who warms the bench is better than most. The bottom line is that to even get CHOSEN to be on the season team - starting or not - means you are one of the best in the world. When you sit down and compare the number of players that tried and failed, they are amazing. Same with Brandon. Guys didn't make the field. Many try and many do not make it. He did. That is success and honestly, puts him in above average to the typical racers that are out there. The problem I have with your comments is that they are armchair quality from a person that has zero track experience to even know how hard that is. Also, you are a casual fan at best and apparently by even example of the race car team shown on here, have zero idea what it is like to be a competitor. Even at the high school level... If you at least had that experience, I might have some feelings that your comments may have some merit. But, you keep digging yourself into a hole. It isn't that you need to be a racer to comment. But, if you don't know anything or cannot even remotely relate, how is it that you can act like it is OK that you make comments that are degrading when you really haven't a clue as to what it takes or what he was up against?
  25. OK, we will leave it at this... Provide a link to where I was talking shit about Ben.
