    I wore my one-piece out there one night last year... ridiculously uncomfortable and useless for carrying my wallet, cell, and junk... so I just wear my jacket now, gloves, boots and helmet. I make no excuses for my brother or dad, other than they're usually there in a full firesuit with four wheels, not two. There are rules, they just aren't heavily enforced all the time for the cycle riders. Though I did see a '90 CBR1000F rider biff it right off the starting line last year (luckily it was there and not at high speed downtrack)... n00b on a bike, bound to happen.

    :lol: Not true... I was looking for an '03 Z1k to put in my stable - ya know, an orange one to go along w/ my theme.

    I'm equal opportunity... just happens that the CBR won Superbike of the year in '08 AND '09 and I can get one OTD for just over $1000 more than the 1125CR and the CBR crushes the CR on paper, but the Buell's are bikes designed for the riders, not the racers - and how often do I get to do trackdays (not often).

    I want a liter bike (since I've never ridden one), but this forces my hand since this'll be the last opportunity I'll have to buy an American sportbike. Like I said, I'm weighing all these pros/cons in my head and it's keeping me awake at night.

    I've always got lines on bikes... I'm just out of space in the garage. And the engineer/MBA in me has me weighing the costs vs. the mechanical features on the 1125R, CR, and CBR1000RR to make sure I get the best bang for my buck.

    In the end, I'll end up overthinking things and end up missing out on all the deals :( I'm wired too tight.

    It's fun to reminisce. That, and we all have our off-days, weak moments, etc... we are who we are, good and bad, but it's good to keep reminders like that on the board to keep us all in check.     Anyone figured out a way on how to swap the R front fairing on the CR? Or swap the firebolt front on the CR? I just want to know what brackets I'd be missing if I wanted to swap out the fronts... after getting insurance quotes and pricing, I think the CR might be the way to go... Edit:Ohh, and BTW if anyone up in the northeast area is planning on dealing with Lake Erie Harley Davidson - I'd recommend AGAINST it. I don't know if it was the particular salesman I dealt with, or the business altogether, but they are overpriced and I pretty much caught them lying about their inventory... So, take that for what it's worth. If the party that I confirmed with (who got shafted by these folks) wants to pipe up, they can.

    I use the stuff on the left too, because that's whats typically available. I've never seen the stuff on the right in that weight. The stuff on the right should provide some more protection (thicker), but you might lose a few ponies because of it (and by a few I bet it's < 2, maybe even < 1) Maybe it's just in my head, but I like to use thicker oil in all my high rpm machines just for a protection/peace of mind aspect, but I bet you wouldn't even notice a difference between the two. Once the bike gets up to temp, you're running 40W vs. 50W oil... the 10 vs. 15 is only useful if you ride in ultra low temp situations.

    I can't say you should never accept a counteroffer from your current employer, but 90% of the time the HR articles I've read said it's bad to stay for numerous reasons. I'm not really surprised your current employer would pull something like that... sad, but true.

    It's sad people feel forced from their homes... and the cops shouldn't be recommending that (even if that's how they truly feel). I'm sure some would move if they could. I guess the next best thing (since it appears that the officers can't/won't do their jobs) is to muster up enough scratch for a 12ga pump or a good .357 revolver and go at it "OK Corral" style if you're forced into a situation involving crime.
