No doubt that R1 is making some sick power, but it's already been pointed out that's it pretty unusable with the stock wheelbase. FWIW, that's just my opinion, but this is akin to someone putting a 500+ hp V8 in an Exige... and I don't recall hearing of someone doing that swap because it'll completely upset the balance of the car, defeating the purpose of buying that kind of machine in the first place.

@ V4 - maybe the 650 model. And I whole heartedly agree that Vtwins are total hooligan bikes on the street, there's something about the personality of those bikes over the bland Japanese I4 bikes - that's what makes it so tough. I'm a numbers guy, not an emotions guy - the Ceeber does everything better on paper, but I would almost guarantee the Buell is a much more 'fun' ride.

Thats good, because if I get that 1125R with side fairing kit, I was worried I'd have to find some no name painter with unknown rep to paint the fairings for me. It's hard to find people that do good work. Just don't spray them shitty because my breath smells like black cock.

I dunno what to say Hindsight is 20/20... the only rebuttal is right in the article: I would tend to think it was a little more complicated than "No, thanks we don't want him". Regardless, we don't have to worry about that now though, since we have the Patriot Act.
