Rt.164 is great for a quick fix if you live in the area but southern Ohio is where your skills will be challenged. It kills your whole day to ride down but what a trip.

Yesterday we hit Rt.83, 78, a few connecting roads full of gravel(not fun), followed by Rt.555, then onward to Rt.26 followed by Rt.800 back home. That's the longest I have ever been on a motorcycle, and all of it was twisties. Time to relax today...

If you get sucked into thinking that you can keep up with someone with more time in the seat, you're finished. Rt. 164 is NOTHING compared to what I rode today. I was schooled for sure but at the same time it didn't bother me that much. Don't ride over your head. Try playing around southern Ohio and then see where you're at.

Alright, so this ride did NOT happen in Bolivar. In fact, this is the longest time I have ever spent on a motorcycle in one day. Now I'm pretty drunk and a bit tired but more enlightened as well. I met Cathy for this ride and she deserves respect. There were three of us on this ride today and we covered Rt.555, 83, 78, 26, and 800. A few other roads were covered but the ones mentioned were the cleanest I have ever been on. Now I realize how much I have to learn still. It started in Wooster and not Bolivar, but this thread got way off course. I'm glad I went...

Don't worry about a group ride. I just got my ass kicked on a fucking 9hr ride with a couple of people who pretty much left me in the dust, but one of them races so I don't feel too bad. What a fucking day...

Well, there is 536 and 556, which I have never been on yet. I've heard great things about that road and Rt.800 is nice around that area. Especially when you take it from Rt.7. On a cruiser, 536 could be a pain for sure. I'd love to ride it with a 250 Ninja though. Or any set of twisties for that matter.

Well, I thought that I would like to mess around down in southern Ohio this weekend, weather permitting. Everyone is raving about Rt.536, which I have been on twice, and is very challenging but it's not bad once you do a slow run to look for gravel and such. I guess someone was hit by a parakeet or something last weekend when they were on it and went down. It's the gravel more than anything that spooks me the most. You never know where it's going to be which is why I do slow ride first, then get some speed the second time around. Plus, I have yet to ride 556, which is in the vicinity as well...

Was it a 15mph corner? If so I almost crossed the center line to get around it but I made it barely. I believe it was early on though, perhaps a mile into it?

Ah yes, I have been on 536 twice last year and damn near had to drag a knee through one of the turns to stay on my side of the road. Go through it once and check for gravel and if it's all clear, head back up, which is easier and easier on the nerves. Rt. 800 can be taken back up as a kind of a loop from Rt.7, after you get to the bottom of 536. Good stuff...

They bounce pretty well too, which is handy in a wreck. I hope everything turns out well though. I need a track day...

I own an older Glock 22 and it is very reliable but a bit bulky for concealed carry.

I've actually been on a Road King once in my life, that some dude let me ride around for about 10 minutes or so. Not a bad handling machine at all, but it can intimidate people due to it's size and all of the bells and whistles it has. I gunned it and one of the baffles came loose or that's what the guy told me when he rode it home that day. If I got a cruiser, it would be a Harley because I would use it for it's intended purpose. I'd ditch the fat chick that seem to appear on the back of those things though.

I had a guy on a Harley Sportster try and race me when I had my little 600RR awhile back, which wasn't from a dead stop either. He was in the right lane and I was in the left lane, gradually approaching him and when I got even with him, he tries to leave me in the dust. Alright, so I opened up the throttle and that was that. Then I slowed down to the speed limit but he seemed to want to stay very far away from me. Now I don't even bother anymore really. Yeah, I'm white...
