Yes, the suggested speed and not the 55mph posted limit and doing 110 in a 25mph curve might hurt a little....

Domestic fight over dog brought police to Pa. ambush
MadMax33 replied to Disclaimer's topic in Dumpster
This is just what the anti's are looking for and I'm sure that Michael Moore just creamed his shorts at least ten times since this story came out. Now he'll petition Wal-mart to stop selling ammo and make another biased film... -
A state trooper at Atwood? Time to take of my plates when I go out that way. That's where I do double the limit and then some in the corners. I suppose if a cop was on my ass I would have to behave myself. My bike has a bad water pump so that needs taken care of. It still runs so I've already seen a few miles this season. I can't wait till the weather really starts to improve...

I would love to live and ride in Flori-DUH!! There are no bugs to speak of and the roads are very straight which I like because those curves scare the Hell out of me. That's why I bought a sportbike, so I can go fast on the highway. YES! Then again, those exit ramps can be quite trecherous if you don't slow down. Fuck Ohio and any other state that have roads with twisties;)

Hell, just turn all of those churches into homeless shelters and there ya go. I mean, those big buildings are used maybe twice a week, and sometimes on Saturday's when some poor sucker has been talked into getting married. Most of the time they are pretty empty, which is appropriate since when they are occupied, empty minds are present. I've seen some of these mega-churches and I bet you could sleep a thousand flea-bitten homeless men in one of those things. Plus, if you're a young boy, the clergy would be more than happy to provide you with a very interactive sex ed program, free of cost of course but you may have to provide the protection...

I've seen a few of those things when I was living in Flori-DUH!, but now I can walk into any bar here in Ohio and see the same thing, so it's no big deal...

Wow, just wow. I just want to learn as much as I can to become a better rider so I'll ride with someone who can dust me in the curves, until I learn how to keep up. My bike was built for speed and turning. Doing the posted speed limit in the corners, at least the yellow posted limit, is not my cup of tea. Most 25mph turns can be done at 60 or so, which has been my experience so far. That's what I enjoy and it is dangerous, but I know I can die on any ride I am on, so fuck it. I have been the lead on a few rides yet I don't know all of the hand signals. I think a middle finger raised means "Fuck you"... I think...

I want to see what 164 is like as well. That's a pretty good run because you can get to Atwood pretty easily as well.

I shot one of the 9mm subs at the range and I had one FTF and my grouping was off towards the upper left of the target. It did feel good in my hand but maybe it was abused, being a range gun. I'd like to try another one, perhaps the 4inch model but I'm a Glock man. The XD's seem bulkier to me.

Those liter-bikes have no chance in Hell of outrunning a Crown-Vic so I'm glad you stopped when you did. The only tickets I have ever gotten happened when I was on a highway, going from one set of twisties to another. Now I only speed on the backroads and even then, nothing too crazy. My bike likes the curves, not the straight roads. Plus it's more fun to hit a corner fast than to just fly down a road that anyone can haul ass on, really. Don't count on the cop not showing up. Just remember to renew your insurance next time...

My thoughts are with the friends and family, and this not going to be the only death we hear about in this community. You know you are in a dangerous hobby when experts get killed in it...

Fuck the pansy ass PC culture...

Well, I am in if the weather is favorable. Atwood is pretty clean as well as Rt.44, which is right on the way there and it does have a few curves. I still need to scout Rt.164 to see if there are any bad spots but I'm sure it's fine...

I've pretty much given up on getting ammo in stores but Wal-mart always has .40 target ammo when I go there. I was pretty bad with the Springfield XD sub that I shot but it was a range gun so maybe it was beaten up a bit. Now I want a Glock 32 in .357Sig...

And you thought the whole peanut butter and dogs thing was a joke

She can flog my dog anytime she wants... -
Atwood is pretty clean, which is great and now I need to check 164, perhaps this weekend...

It's an addiction and it's only the beginning. Now you'll have to get a revolver, which was my first gun. At least 9mm is cheaper to shoot although for defensive purposes, you'll want either 115gr +p hollowpoints or 124gr +p ammo. That's where the 9mm shines. My next gun will be a glock in .357sig, which is really a 9mm on steroids...

My mother wants to move to S. Carolina in three years and she wants her closest family to go with her, which includes me. Someday, perhaps next year I will ride down there and see how the land lays. A part of my life was lived in the Charleston area but I'd like to go back since I'm all grown up. Well, I'm lying about the grown up part...

I'd love to but I'm working. Still, Atwood needs to be checked out for any new changes in the quality of the road after the winter. The same goes for 164, your favorite place Cleave...

I'd be in on this but I already made plans with the family. Hey Jester, I'm always up for a ride and I'm about 30 min away here in Massillon. Usually I like to hit Atwood and Rt.164 for the most part. Rt.9 is pretty good too and not that far away. Then you have some stretches around here where you can open it up a little which makes you appreciate liter bike power...

Well, I see no point in stocking up on self-defense ammo beyond maybe 200 rounds or so. The only time I have used hollow-point ammo at the range was to see if my glock would have trouble with it, which it didn't. Seriously, if you need 500 rounds of ammunition that you will only use in a self-defense situation, please move out of the 'hood.
-
For a tactical weapon, I would not want to have an external safety that I have to worry about when my mind is already high on adrenalin. Once the glock is locked and loaded, it only goes off when you depress the trigger. Mine has never jammed and who knows what its been through before I got ahold of it, being a police trade-in. So far so good.

Try Georgia Arms and Double Tap ammo seems to be doing very well. I bought some 125gr JHP for my .357 and they claim that the velocity is 1600ft per second out of a 4inch barrel. I won't even mess with anything else although I am becoming a fan of the .357Sig round but it's expensive and hard to find in stores.
-
The glock 23 is a compact version of the glock in .40S&W, with a 4-inch barrel as opposed to my glock 22, which is a bit larger with a 4.5-inch barrel. If you get a glock in 9mm, get a glock 19 and practice. All of the magazines are interchangable in each caliber so you can use a glock 17 magazine that holds 17 shots in your glock 19. Plus you can get a 33-round magazine as well for some serious firepower but it's heavy and of course harder to conceal. I have not heard one bad thing about a glock 19, and some consider it to be the best 9mm ever made. The .40 round is going to make a bigger hole though and less likely to exit the body of your target, which is a good thing. Shooting it produces a very snappy recoil though, even in my full sized pistol. Sure, my glock 22 isn't pretty but it fires everytime and is quite accurate.

Great, now I'll never get laid...
