    Tax Reform

You should just unplug your keyboard and save face. I'm afraid it might be too late. Word. Utilizing materials where they are most efficient...can't disagree there. I think we all agree that our tax money isn't being spent in the most efficient ways. Passing over greater debt and an environment worse than what we received it in over to our kids isn't cool.

The thing that separates humans from other animals is the ability to empathize. There is this study that took human and chimp babies, and eventually at a certain age (2 or 3 years old maybe) the human child is able to imagine itself in another person's shoes. Then there this theory as to why some cultures are so much more advanced and successful than others. Like why was Europe going through the industrial revolution, yet Africa is barely in the iron age and still no wheel. Well the theory goes that it's because of climate. Harsh climates (particularly winter) forced those cultures to plan ahead. Waking up, feeling hungry then going to pick some berries or hunt for food everyday might be possible in a climate that's mild year round, but good luck not dying during the winter. So being able to put yourself in shoes of someone else and being able to plan ahead for the future, is really what not only makes us human, but advanced, intelligent humans. All this "I only live in the now and think about myself" shit...is just further proof that some people haven't evolved as far as others yet. And that the US as a culture, cannot survive. SAD!

I must say, of all the Android phones I've had, the ones built by LG have always been my favorite.

Hopefully it won't be another Audi or Nissan...or pretty much any car. https://www.autoblog.com/2010/10/06/is-your-car-really-american/

I don't know how much you know about Android so I'm going to assume that you don't know anything... Android is owned by Google and it's open source, meaning that anyone (Samsung, LG, you, me) can go download the source code, modify it however we see fit, and then put it on any device that we want. So Google maintains that source code, contributes the majority of the improvements and updates to it, with help from a few others, but Google owns it and sets the standards and overall vision for the OS, etc. So naturally they design the entire experience of how you use Android, from things like designing and creating an entirely new font (called Roboto) that is supposed to be everything from ideal for mobile screens to how it makes you feel emotionally and all that shit. Then there are the things you'll notice more, apps. Google Assistant ties into the OS very nicely, so much so that on the Pixel 2 just by squeezing the phone will launch GA. Gmail, Maps, the phone dialer...every app that Google creates, all ties in nicely with the other Google apps and Android itself. Now with IoT (internet of things, smart lights, fridges, etc), GA ties in very nicely with most smart devices. Google is at the forefront of IoT and AI. Now lets take Samsung. They take that source code and modify it to how they see fit. They get their Korean designers and come up with fonts, colors and just overall design that I describe as...not as good. Very gimmicky, out of date, more suitable for a child or someone who's into Tamagotchi, Hello Kitty and Pokemon. Don't get me wrong, they do come up with some cool features that Android doesn't necessarily have already, but usually they are very gimmicky and no one ever uses it (like scrolling down the page automatically when you're reading something). Now all that designing and building out these changes and features take time. So by the time they're done modifying the source code, Google has already came out with another couple updates to the source code and therefor are always a step or 2 behind. Nexus and now Pixel devices are the iPhones of Android, if that makes any sense. Bit of a rant there, but I hope it makes some sense.

Well the pure Android experience is the big one. What's the S8 running these days? Android 7.0? Christ...talk about old tech, that's more than a year behind! I have an OG Pixel and recently got 8.1 OTA, knowing Samsung's track record, I'd be surprised if they ever get 8.1, 8.0 at best. I bet one year from now the Pixel will still feel as fast and snappy as the day you bought it, and the battery will last longer too. Then there's Bixby...why bother when you can have Google Assistant instead. People try to get Bixby off their phones and replace it with GA but Samsung keeps blocking it The Pixel 2 has the best camera of any smart phone out there, at least by DxOMark standards. So to answer your question in short...things the Pixel will do better. 1) Give you a better UX 2) Keep you up to date on the latest OS plus monthly OTA security updates (not sure if samsung send out the monthly security updates) 3) Better Google integrated experience 4) Better Camera 5) Google Assistant 6) Better battery life

Hopefully they won't go spending it all on candy and put it towards their insurance premiums that will go up to take care of the bums who will no longer be required to have health care.

I'm with you. The beginning of the movie Idiocracy is so true. This is exactly why abortion and birth control should be available to everyone. Tax breaks won't stop that from happening.

I did vote for Obama. Yeah, according to sources he added 68% to the national debt, not good. Keep in mind that the President prior to him, Bush, increased it by 101%. Billy C only increased it by 32% and every conservatives wet dream, Reagan, increased it by 186%. This is a new plan to increase debt even more and I don't like it. If you're trying to play the partisan game with me...good luck. I don't belong to any party, it's not a team sport for me.

Paying less taxes (temporarily) is great and all, but how are things going to get paid for? Debt much? This country's infrastructure is fukt as is.
  18. Do you still have the ISF? You weren't driving towards Delaware by the quarry over the summer with a Volvo S60R trying to keep up with you, were you?

    Net Neutrality

Naah naah, fuck all that. People should just sit back and take it up the rear. Just think, what would The Sons of Liberty do. They had no control over the Tea Act and should just focus on things they can control.
  20. Figures...I bought Ethereum when it was at $480. It starts dropping, Bitcoin touches $20k, I freak out and sold half my Ethereum for Bitcoin. Now Ethereum is at $700. This is why I can't have nice things

    Net Neutrality

Probably. I think it's the slippery slope idea that someone mentioned earlier that's the problem. I read somewhere that there are countries that do not have NN, and the worst that happens there is speed throttling if they notice you streaming more than average. Still, I don't think anyone wants that.

I know where you were going with this but I think you missed it lol. This is fine, this is exactly how it works today. You're paying for a pipe, the more you pay, the bigger pipe you get *gigity*. Now if you want Hulu, but Spectrum has a deal with Netflix...sorry pal, you're SOL...that's gonna cost you.
