I'm a long time subscriber, too. Better than it used to be - their English has improved a lot over the years. When it first came out it had so many grammatical errors in it that it was difficult to read. But, the writers were foreign and their English was miles better than my German. Their articles seem to lack a bit of depth though. Wish they'd be a bit more specific at times and not generalize so much. A lot of their rourtes go right by some of the best ridingaround, yet they never get to it. Not all the time, but at times. Maybe they should seek out some local help to find the routes. Some of the Shamrock Tours (in the back with maps usually) are pretty weak. Imagine doing a tour of Columbus - one day heading south, one east, one north and one west, etc. One of the directions might be decent, but then they have to find soemthing good to say about the other directions when they really suck. Can't slam them though - still one of the better mags out there.

Mount it on the bike and run GPS through it. Finally a screen you can see at speed on a bike. Have seen some tablet PC's doing this before and always wanted to do it. Not overly expensive either!

Common misconception. Things fall aprt faster than shit. Leaky drive shaft seals, crap injection and shitloads of other problems. Better know a BMW mechanic if ya buy one of these turds.

Get ya some Speigler lines. - they have the cool swivel bajo bolts on them to make installs a snap. They don't twiust around like all of the others do either. Lines are line - not a big difference in them at all. And they're assembled in Ohio (Dayton).

Vocals sound good and that's usually one of the hardest things to get right with a new band. So many vocalists really blow, but this guy sounds good for the songs that you selected to play. The rest of the band is pretty good too and will only get better with time as they play together more.

Dude needs to patent that before the 'Busa guys see it.

They were made as "gravel road bikes" - not off road bikes. Adventure guys take them on long trips to Alaska where they'll be riding mostly gravel roads. The problem with thumpers is that they don't do well at high RPM for extended periods of time - that's why they make these contraptions. I'd love to buy yours Harb, but I can get a wrecked one for $1000 - and that's pretty much what I'd have to pay for it so I could afford the rest of the mods on it without spending too much. I know they're funky and not everyone's cup of tea, but that's the point: taking a rag and making it into something you like.

Several great places to eat within a block or so walk. My favorite was Red's Wine and Blues... Shitloads of good imports and big hunks of burnt meat for chow...

Might suck balls ,too. Yellowstonme can have some of the worst traffic ever for a National Park. Especially in the summer. But we might get lucky, ya never know. Didn't list it, but Mount Rushmore is in there as well - located near Deadwood, SD. it ain't all that, but kindacool to see if you've never been there before. Best view is the drive by and skip the pay parking area.

1,900 miles (from Indy, add 180 miles for C-bus) - most direct route. That's three 700 miles days in a row just to get there. And there's not shit to see between Indy and Deadwood, SD. As you can see, the route goes nowhere near Colorado or Utah and will keep us in some of the least populated areas of the US. Finding gas can be an issue, so we'll need to really watch the fuel gauges / tripmeters. If anyone wants to extend the trip a bit, we can dip into Colorado and Utah on the return trip. Riding in Idaho is some of the best riding in the country - dunno why you never hear of anyone riding there.

Yeah I know. The ride to Montana goes up through Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming and into Montana - not any hotels like Gateway or Breckenridge anywhere near that <gg>. One stop that is cool is Deadwood, SD. Great little place for gamblin' whorin' and drinkin' for a day off the bikes. Has that old west feel and is within day trip of the Black Hills. Might stay there for two days on the way out or back. Need to work up an itinerary with drive distances, etc and post it here. I'll try to do that this week,

And if there are any balller status hotels in Montana or Wyoming, I haven't found'em yet. That being said, hotels are more expensive out there as there's a shitload fewer of them than in most parts of the US. In Kalispell, we stay here: http://www.kalispellgrand.com/ Good parking lot, right in the middle of town so walking distance to stores, bars and restaurants. They have rooms with 3 beds for $130 and a two bedded room runs $100.00. This is probablky at the high end of hotel room prices on this trip. So you could plan on $50 per person per room per night and you'll be right in there. There are Lodges in the Park, but I'd bet that they're sold out already or close to it. They're cool and all, but not much around after the sun goes down. Can be pricey as well. Usually hit Holiday Inn Sexpress and Hamptons on the way out - they nice and don't cost much more than the shithole hotels.

I didn't add the text, edit or add the music, my friend did that. I never used the baord camera again and haven't a clue what I ever did with it. Probably just pitched it in the weeds because we thought the quality sucked. But we didn't expect much either.

True. Be cool to mount several of them at various points on the bike and then run them through a video switch so you can move the viewing angle around.

I used an el cheapo, $20 pinhole board camera and ran it into a video camera several years ago. Colors sucked, but vibration wasn't really an issue. http://www.youtube.com/user/EaracheII#p/u/7/SANDI7fmlTE It didn't handle light level changes very well either. This camera was duct taped to a turn signal and it was still pretty steady even thoughthe trun signal had to be flopping around. I didn't edit the vid or add any of the music (which sucks) so don't yell at me for shit quality. I'd bet that the camera you linked to would be much better. If this thing is only $20, I'd say give it a go and let us know how it works.
