Here are a few sexy pictures of the hopper in it's final form. For now.

That looks like a pretty overbuilt trailer. I like it.

Find an old Toro S-140. 2 stroke for FTW http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxlC7-0cSfo

I assumed that as well. I just set it up a few days ago. I'm still working through that stuff. I'll likely make some more changes this weekend.
-
well I currently did that with a cname. I am just not sure how to drop the need for www. I was thinking I'd need an A record and to have photoreflect change something on their side, I just haven't made any calls yet. I'm a network engineer. I understand the network side pretty well but when it gets to the hosting side or website part I'm a little dumb. jblosser, really man, I didn't mean to be a dick. Come back.
-
No, I didn't take it that way. Sorry, sometimes text comes off dickish I guess. (or maybe it's just me) I'd love some DNS advise offline.
-
I know what an A record is and yes, currently it only has a cname set up. I'm really familiar with setting up internal DNS but have never owned my own domain. It's hosted by photoreflect.com, so I probably need to work with them to fine tune the DNS and possibly add an A record at that point. correct? I'm working out the details of what else I want to do with the domain. I got electriceyeimages.com and .net

The site is still in it's early stages. For instance DNS does not resolve with out the 'www' yet. I'm also in process of setting up some email at the domain. It's been a fun learning experience so far. Either way, I'm working this winter to get set up to do Event and track day photography next year. I have some things in the works but nothing officially official yet. I've upgraded my DSLR and lenses and plan to add a Canon 100-400 USM IS lens to the arsenal before spring (excellent range for race tracks in daylight). If nothing else I'd like to make enough money to pay for my camera equipment but if it's something that has real earning potential I'll work to grow the business. Please take a look at the site and let me know what you think and if you have an event you think I could photograph and potentially sell photographs please send me a PM. At this point I really need to get my name out there so you may see me at some of the forum events shooting just for fun. If nothing else look at the site to see if you are on here. I know at least Yota and Brandon are in some of the photographs. www.electriceyeimages.com

On an interesting Chrysler related note. A buddy of mine recently bought a new 2010 Jeep Wrangler. He had a catastrophic engine failure 3 weeks after purchase. He sent an email to the CEO about his issue while the car was in the shop and it's fate was being determined. They gave him a lifetime unlimited mileage drive train warranty and replaced the motor in his vehicle with a brand new crate motor and VIN matched it to the chassis. So I took two things away from this. Chrysler's suck and holy hell they are stepping up to the plate to keep this guys loyalty. I have never even heard of an unlimited mileage warranty. Sorry, I don't remember the details of what failed but you get the picture.

+1 hire you to do what.

Thanks for posting Brandon. I'm going slow as hell but that's the first time the bike has been on track with it's new GSXR stickers in full effect.
-
No problem Brandt, It's always fun. BTW, if you want to look for yourself, everything I shot is here in full res. http://picasaweb.google.com/joseph.hansen/MidOhio10212010#

I can't tag anyone in those pics. Can you make it so I can tag the people I know. Great job BTW, for as little as me and my friends were out you got a lot of pics of us.

Dude, I was in 1st gear the whole time and it's not a moped.
-
LOL, that's cool man. Just figured I'd razz ya a little.

Hypers are fun as hell. Free Bump. I already have a monster with practically the same motor though. Here, I'll even give a free picture of how cool you could look on a hyper. Buy it, track it, prosper!!! You'd be hard pressed to find a bike that is more fun on the street. Just my humble opinion.

This is the 2nd year Mid-OH has hosted a free track day for their regular track day customers. It's a really cool gesture IMO. It was pretty cold today at Mid-OH. I think I only went out about 3 sessions and mostly drove it like a truck. It was still an overall fun day where I was at the track rather than at work. On the time I wasn't riding I got a chance to shoot some more pictures with my new Camera and lenses. In case I haven't mentioned this on the site before. I'm looking to start doing some professional photography on the side. Please shoot me a PM if you have need for some photography. Here are a few pics from the day. On a side note. Brian (with KTM) apparently doesn't like having his picture taken. He seems to think you want to wear his skin or something when you point the camera at him. He had this really brightly colored shirt on that I was unable to photograph because of this. He did however have some KTM RC8s he let some people demo on the track. KTM is doing some cool stuff up at Mid-OH

I use Adobe Premiere CS4. It's not technically free but it's awesome. Otherwise, cheaper alternatives are windows movie maker (which comes with windows) or Quicktime pro which is pretty basic and cheap.

Haha, that is probably the clutch douchebag!

I am still learning how it focuses and shit but my new SLR does 30fps 1080p with interchangeable lenses. Check it out and turn the quality up to 1080p. You might want to pause it and let the buffer fill up though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkrG7yBMIGM

Well, I think that about covers the 9500 and V1. Guess you just have to decide what features are more important to you. I'd read all the reviews too. They are pretty interesting reading IMHO.
-
Up until recently I was using the passport x50 8500. They are about $300 new, you can get them on ebay for around $200. They generally do as well in the reviews as the V1 but don't have the capability to differentiate between side and rear threats. I thought it performed very well and generally picked up radar very early. I just didn't use it much so I sold it. So, if you are on a budget I think that is a good choice, if you have the money to get the best then go with the V1 or the escort 9500. They are all basically Cincinnati microwave products and are generally regarded as the best.

Remove Firearms and Politics threads from front page?

It seems you are indifferent and should not have voted at all. But you voted with me so I'll take it. -
Remove Firearms and Politics threads from front page?

I voted yes. Although this is a community of sorts it's still a motorcycle forum. It's not a matter of only clicking on things that matter to you, it's a matter of threads that are not relevant filling up the home page and bumping relevant motorcycle threads. It's also a matter of reputation and public image. When people new to the site look for the first time and they find some idiot ranting and raving about why revolvers are stupid or how democrats can pound sand they are just going to go "wow this is a lame motorcycle forum." This isn't the regular member's personal sandbox, that is what your facebook page is for. Honestly my thoughts on the matter are this. Discussing guns seems somehow sort of relevant to motorcycles. It just seems people with bikes often times also have guns. However, I really never want to have a discussion with any of you about politics or religion. Those are 2 topics I really hate discussing with people, someone always ruins it and tries to force their views down someone else's throat and it gets really ugly really fast. I'd be happy with politics and religion being deleted all together. Having said all that, if he is just moving the stuff off the front page I don't see what the big deal is. you can still argue about politics and guns on the forum just like you did before. I might even chime in and stir the pot a little.
