Finally, a group I can relate to!
-
Saturday, but I'll be back home all next week for spring break. Weather providing, I'll likely be taking a day trip down to Hocking the first weekend of April. Unless there's an O-R group ride going on somewhere of course...those are fun as hell And not all parts of Hocking are all that far away. I usually take 33 to Logan and then head south from there along various roads I'm familiar with. I know there is even better riding further east and northeast of Nelsonville and around Marietta, but I really enjoy the area south of Logan and Nelsonville. It's maybe an hour ride from Columbus tops to get there; not bad at all really

Coshocton and Hocking are your best bet; they're both about an hour ride from the city. Once I get my bike back to campus I'll be heading to Hocking frequently, so lemmie know if you wanna check it out sometime.

Wanna read some real bullshit? Money money money...

Normally I'd go into a fit of anti-traffic law rage, but...whatever. I don't drive a cage often and when I do I always turn the lights on regardless of the time of day. I figure, if it's safer to ride a bike with the lights always on then it's safer to drive a car with the lights always on. -
Welcome! I'm from Stow so I'm pretty familiar with the Akron area

It looks like one of the few pairs they've got left is your size and color, so I'd definitely jump on it. Personally for street use I don't see much need for another more than standard Vertigo's; the 425 MSRP for Corsa's is a bit steep in my opinion, but if you can get them for the ridiculous price of 299 and they fit and they're the color you like, you'd be insane to not get them Hell, you can probably get free shipping from newenough on those things thanks to their brand-specific shipping allowance. people like that should be euthanized. Do whatever ya want on a track; just keep that sort of insanity off the street Though I do like to muse on the fact that if you're a cager, you're going to have to drop over 100 grand on a vehicle to keep up with someone with a $10,000 bike 2 > 4

The new Vortice boots are 475$...damn nice boots (played with em at the pony) but godDAMN that's a lot of money for boots Though I am very tempted to use Vortice parts to mod my Vertigo's. I'm sort of worried that the toes in my Vertigo's get very warm without any venting, so I'm thinking about ordering the toe sliders from the Vortice's and putting them on my Vertigos and punching holes in the toes so the vents work. I think the parts would swap between models; compared them at the store and they looked identical as far the general dimensions/shape go.

Divorce - when your wife takes half of your assets and leaves you with all of your liabilities. This is why when given the choice, I always chose to spend money on my motorcycling than on a girl. My bike will never lose its goddamn mind and leave me and ruin my finances/credit

F'ing atrocious. They take the music brilliance...nay...GENIUS of Raffi and speed it up and ruin a sublime piece of art.

Can't bikes park in car spots after 4 or 5 pm too? It mentions it on the tp.osu.edu site but it's very vague; all it says is something like "after 4[5?] pm, 2-wheeled vehicles can park in 4-wheeled vehicle spaces until 5 am". Does that mean we can park wherever the hell we want on campus in the evenings? That'd be convenient; not a huge perk but a nice convenience nonetheless.

Sidi's. Thread done. I've got the regular Vertigo's and love em. Super super light and very comfy, and that's coming from someone with unbelievably bad feet (absolutely no arch, and I've got an extra bone in each foot above where my arch would normally be). I had a pair of normal old shoe insoles I already had lying around and put em in the boots, and now I could wear them around all day without complaint *edit* Oo, 500th post
-
I work from noon to 4 Thursday and 6 to 10am Friday. Other than that I've got absolutely nothing to do but sit around and watch tv so I'm up for whatever.
-
218 months? Cmon man, the kid is 18 years old! After about 2 years referring to their age in months stops being cute; cut the cord
-
I have absolutely nothing to do with this thread, but I have to hang around campus till saturday and after wednesday afternoon I have nothing but time to kill. I'm up for an ohio riders lunch

Justify your existence however you please OSHP, we all know that ultimately you're more or less useless. There are many factors that can be dealt with in improving highway safety; you're just picking the easiest and most profitable to enforce. I dream of a future with a tiered licensing/speed limit system, where people with proper vehicles and training can drive faster than the archaic speed limits set decades ago that don't reflect the advances in automotive technology. Like that'll ever happen... I have to renew my plates this weekend. I wonder if "FOSHP" is taken? *edit* Available....I'm tempted, but I'm willing to bet I'd be pulled over at least once every time I make the trip between Stow (akron) and Columbus on 71

I love replying to a thread, only to realize later that I didn't actually answer the question/discuss the topic at hand directly Yeah, more or less what Fonzie and MJ said. It never hurts to try with stuff like this. Last year I somehow slept through my alarm and missed a midterm in a stats class I was otherwise getting an A in. I emailed my prof immediately and explained what happened, not expecting much. To my surprise, she let me take the exam later that day with the night section. You've got nothin to lose and everything to gain by asking, so go for it.
-
Oh ok...don't think I'll ever have to take that...thankfully. I am taking Accounting 212 right now (studying for the final that's tomorrow) though, and that class is 100% exams. I think I only sat through two or three full lectures all quarter; the professor was terrible and I've had to teach myself literally the entire course...so you aren't alone in being totally fucked academically. If you need a room as a 5th year senior lemmie know; I'll have a few empty ones after next year when my roommates all graduate and leave us bad students behind Remember...lots of people go to college for seven years. They're called doctors (or people who would rather just ride a motorcycle instead of study)
-
Does Paul do color matching for minor scuffs and scrapes on fairings? I've got a scrape on one of my lower fairings that is about the size of a quarter, but it drives me nuts. A replacement OEM lower is almost 100$, which seems ridiculous if I'm just fixing a small scrape :\

Pretty much all console games suck online in my opinion; I never buy em for the multiplayer. I leave my online gaming on the computer Counter-Strike FTW

What class/professor? Just curious; sounds like something I should avoid...

Pulled the trigger on the Joe Rocket suit. Really all the Fieldsheer suit had over it was the higher quality armor, but the upgrade JR armor is really cheap and buying it with the suit was still cheaper than the FS suit alone. Might have been a bad idea, but I got it in non-perf. After a lot of thinking, I realized that I do a decent amount of riding in the morning and evening when it is pretty cool outside, and I also wasn't huge on the idea of getting caught in the rain in anything perforated Thanks for the input everyone

I just got an HJC FS-15 in solid black last week. Havn't ridden with it yet, but I have worn it around the house for a few hours to break it in a bit and to get used to it for when I get my bike out of the garage next weekend :)Damn is it a nice helmet as far as fit/finish/build quality/comfort go for the price, not to mention that it looks fantastic, especially in person. For the price I really don't think you can do better; the only thing I'd consider getting as an upgrade from this would be a Shoei, though I tried some of those on at Iron Pony yesterday and wasn't all that impressed. It certainly didn't feel 300$ better than my FS.
-
I gotta grab a sticker as well... To whoever handles them (casper?), do you still have any of the ohio-riders.net ones, or are they all sans-.net nowadays?
-
Woot, just a few more days to go Bumping this just as an early reminder and stuff. I might have an extra person or two come, depends on how many people we have coming from OR. Neither of them are goalies though
