I was originally looking at a Savage 17HMR bolt action with accutrigger. Then decided that since I only hunt squirrel and maybe an occasional rabbit that I don't need 3000 ft per second. I then started looking at tactical 22 like the Mossberg 715T flat top. And S&W 15-22. But didn't like the price in the S&W and the mossberg felt plasticy and has fake Ar things that aren't Functional. I found this one and to get into a similar 10/22 without the betray strap would be over $300 the. Add scope. Where this one is a package deal that I an upgrade over time. Mainly bought it for my squirrel trip on Black Friday.

I got a nice hard case with foam inside at Kmart for like 12 bucks held my shotgun (now your shotgun ) and 22 rifle together just fine. its about 4 feet long and has a lock hole on it if you were traveling and wanted to lock it up.

You can use a similar trick that was mentioned here for the rear wheel on the front wheel too. this will keep the tire from turning one way or the other.

Buy some canyon dancer bar straps they hook on your bars and cover your grips and have D rings to attach too. Then just hook in your bed tiedown spots in the front corner. Make sure you cinch it down so you only have a few inches of fork travel. I've drove a over a thousand miles like this and never had a problem.

I blew the top end on my cr. looking at different piston kits. There are weisco vertex Oem ... Forged, cast, forged alloy. What's the best? Not looking for the most power necessarily more reliability, although I only rode about 20 hours this years so it will last me a few years most likely.
