  1. point at tank, then mime drinking = Bike thirsty
  2. I use center stand and exhaust when i pull my wheels off to go get tires fitted, never had an issue.
  3. Welcome Reine, with a forum membership of over 4000, you can rest assured there are all types of bikes represented.
  4. Then you've never driven a caddy. Legally I concour with all of this, the car was at fault.. no question... However, the motorcyclist should never have put himself into that position in the first place. He was not aware of the situation unfolding right in front of him, and he did not put himself into the best possible position to be seen or avoid contact. If that were one of my friends I'd be giving him/her the lecture while we were waiting for the police to show up.
  5. Probably true, I have opinions on things... i would've repped you, but i have to spread it around.
  6. I'm with CSC, if I had this problem, I'd be going to war... Mount a couple of hellas up high, wire them and the horn to a foot switch... flash politely with the normal highs, and if they still don't get the hint tap the "fuck you" button.
  7. Congrats dude, I realize we don't always see eye to eye, but I believe you'll be a great father.
  8. I re-watched the video half a dozen times, he's sitting in that blind spot for at least 5 seconds before the caddy merges into him... now that car should have been paying attention, but the bike should have been riding smarter, too... expect idiots, ride like you're invisible.
  9. I'm not saying the biker was legally at fault... but I can tell you how I would have done it differently. You don't ride in a blind spot. (He was riding in that blind spot the entire video before the crash) You see the vehicle in front of the caddy stop to turn, you either slow to stop in anticipation of the caddy not looking for you, or you drop a gear, crack the throttle and swerve right to gtfo of that situation... situational awareness. I've had enough close calls to know what to look for.
  10. That's why you don't ride in blind spots, people rarely signal anymore.
  11. Ebay, I'm going back to pirelli angels this year. The avon storms were okay, but I think the front wore funny and is giving me a front end wobble on deceleration.
  12. Today I noticed that one of my cars dropped off my policy inexplicably, and some of my discounts were not on there either. I got no notice of these changes. I called them to ask what happened, and it turns out that over the past month they were transitioning to a new computer system, and some of my data was lost in translation. They were very apologetic, and fixed the problem retroactively. I'm not sure how unique my situation is, so if you've got progressive it might be worth your while to go online and double check everything is as you had it. That is all.
  13. If all those were choices, I'd be on board... The fat one is a borderline issue, some people that eat too much are fat, other people can eat as much as they want without any weight gain at all... Genetics you have no control over... smoking is your choice. I've been opposed to the individual mandate from the beginning, and I don't like it, but it's also the part that makes the math work...otherwise you could say screw health insurance, until you're sick, then buy a policy...
  14. I don't care if you smoke, but your insurance company obviously does... I don't care if you speed, but your insurance company does... (if you're caught) I don't care if you live in a house within a known flood plane, or in a high crime area... But to say that insurance companies shouldn't be allowed to charge you more for choices you make to risk what they are insuring... seems disingenuous.
  15. 2 or 3 fiamm horns and a half farad capacitor... problem solved.
  16. i wear contacts every time i ride, never had an issue with them blowing out.

    GSXR Stigma

they wanted 3000/yr for full coverage on the XX, i said no.. i pay 100/yr for 2 bikes and 2 riders liability only... I'm way ahead now, 5 years later that woulda been $15,000 for nothing...
  18. I vote full surround, I like how mine sounds...and I still want to upgrade it.
  19. I'd be glad to help but it would be a trek for you.

  21. Doesn't matter what you ride, you can work on it yourself. The only thing I don't do myself on my bikes is tires.
  22. Depends on why you want one... If it's because you think Harleys are the best cruiser value for your money, you should probably look at some other cruisers instead. If it's because you've always wanted one, and you've got the spare coin to buy one, by all means get what you like.
  23. I don't need an id to buy beer... I haven't been carded in a couple years... There have been 10 cases of in-person voter fraud since 2000... http://assets.news21.com/fraud/?category=3&type=&status=&offset=0&query=&state=&year=#
