  1. Could, I got the rest of the night off...
  2. Any of my central ohio friends want to hang out? I'm open all evenings tonight-wed.. Any suggestions about good restaurants or hangouts graciously taken under consideration as well...
  3. I'm not trying to sway anybody, but to rebut your claim that the only reason anyone would support the president over romney is because they want free stuff...That's the kind of bloviating that comes from "the no spin zone" I preferred Obama to romney for reasons that had nothing to do with me getting free stuff.
  4. if you're paying for a service, try the free ones I mentioned, and save yourself some money
  5. this is what i was thinking, we're already footing the bill... I don't know what difference statehood would make.
  6. glad this worked out... some rep for CSC, i remember when you came in here and overreacted at something ol sambusa said... .....you've grown up so fast......(i promised myself I wouldn't cry)
  7. Chief... I don't think it's about handouts, it's not the reason Romney was at the absolute bottom of my list and obama was somewhere near the middle bottom. It's about freedom, foreign policy, and math. Math: you can't cut taxes across the board, and have a positive impact on our deficit... it doesn't work. Foreign Policy: we need a level-headed, principled person in charge of the military, not a flip flopping war mongerer who will piss off our allies, and taunt our opponents into attacking us. That's just bad news. Freedom: the GOP is opposed to gay rights, opposed to women's rights, opposed to freedom of religion for any non-christian, and support legislation which has the effect of forcing citizens of this country who look a certain way to constantly prove that they are citizens. I don't get these handouts you're talking about, that's people like mitt romney, and big oil executives, wall street traders who pay less in taxes than most of the rest of us.
  8. yep "I was coming up this off ramp, some jackass sideswiped me like an idiot, I signaled to pull over, and he just kept going, so I got his license plate, and called you." let them deal with the rest of the story.
  9. Could it be construed that way? I guess, but it's a far cry from an actual threat... I'm not defending anyone, just pointing out that threats are frowned upon, that's all. I'm not particularly attached to either of you, and this is for your benefit, so you get a better sense of where we typically draw the lines around here. Your response was a thinly veiled threat, plain and simple...I had my fun with the tyson meme, and the "do you even lift" but basically the quickest way to lose reputation around here is to threaten other members, and/or challenge them to fight you IRL. When we have an event, we like them to go off without any petty bullshit. We all get along, and those who don't get along just stay away from each other... just FYI http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=1864
  10. I'd have left out the long story, since none of it resulted in contact until he sideswiped you. Report hit and run, give license plate number, let them deal with the details of why.
  11. I do always keep them on me just in case...
  12. excellent, because it isn't just my frowning. the frowning belongs to others as well, and is included in the website rules.
  13. Fucktard is a pretty common term in ORDN... some use it seriously, some use it in jest, but generally it is only harmful to those with particularly thin skin. On the other hand, making a thinly veiled threat against another member regarding what might happen to them in person if you ever meet them is frowned upon. you understand?
  14. Creditkarma can be updated every day, creditsesame seems to update once a month equifax is the only one I need to check on the yearly site.
  15. yeah, poor dude ordering a drink gets a nose full of crossfire. if that had been me, my big old honking nose would've shielded the chick entirely.
  16. so 2 of your fighter planes engaged a drone and failed to hit it... that means you're ready to defend against an invasion? What? unless someone invades you with drones, apparently, then you'll have absolutely nothing to do about it since you can't hit one.
  17. yes, but that's once a year, and gives identity thieves potentially an entire year to scam you before you find out about it. The 2 sites I mentioned give you free access to your report and scores. The have advertising on the sites to cover the costs. Credit Sesame uses experian Credit Karma uses transunion
  18. www.creditkarma.com www.creditsesame.com never any charges from them for their basic service, and by signing up for both you can keep track of 2 of your 3 credit reports. They also have some interesting tools. I've found creditsesame to be more accurate on the score (at least in my case) do your freeannualcreditreport.com once a year for good measure and to keep tabs on the third report (even though they don't tell you a score)
  19. Suggesting that some individuals might be physically addicted is a far cry from saying tolerance = addiction, nice straw man though.
  20. No, I'm not. And again, to say that tolerance = addiction would be a gross oversimplification of the issue. But to say that there is absolutely no way a person can become physically dependent upon it is an awfully broad statement in itself. Let's do some studies, lets figure out what the effects are on different people, and different body chemistries... or just say that it doesn't matter because whatever you put into your own body is your own damn business regardless of it's effects...
  21. Why do you ask who someone is (while misspelling their name) then tell someone that they are a socialist? Carl Sagan is a brilliant orator, and a decent philosopher. But what does his view of the role of federal government have to do with his view on marijuana?
  22. I'm in no way saying tolerance = addiction... Merely that increased physical tolerance suggests a physical change, not just a psychological one.
