  1. It's the wasted vote mentality, along with the Ross Perot debacle. I knew I was throwing away my vote, but I didn't care.
  2. this ^ the only legislation signed by this president regarding firearms actually expanded gun owner's rights. http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/09/16/amtrak.guns/
  3. Went about as I expected... Polls were pretty much spot on. I enjoyed wasting my vote.
  4. Looks like I'm gonna have to buy some more elbows... to the amputee store!
  5. the caliber/avenger platform was one of the worst cars I've ever driven... got it as a rental car and what a sad excuse for an engine...
  6. Government dependency is decreasing since the collapse of our economy. Obama has been steadily decreasing the deficit since 09. Gasoline prices are global commodity prices, the president can't do much if anything about it. Which 21 taxes are you referring? define "personal healthcare choices" you mean like contraception coverage? Jobs have been increasing steadily over the past few years, or haven't you been paying attention? Decreasing tax revenue, well the president is planning on fixing that... Romney wanted nothing to do with it. Erosion of rights? you mean like how you can now carry a firearm into a state park?
  7. Looks like the polls held pretty solid predictions.
  8. I hope it runs past 11 so Ican actually justify watching stewart/colbert tonight rather than just going to sleep and DVRing like usual.
  9. I paid less than 10k for my car, but I wouldn't recommend it to a new driver... lol.
  10. Random Bow Throwing FTW:D.
  11. cube is also horrible in the wind, like driving a dirigible in the turbulence.
  12. trust me, there are some of us you'd be much better off NOT meeting...
  13. maybe you should have a father/daughter outing this weekend, go look at some cars, ask about specials, see what kind of deals you can get.... you can always walk away and say no if they don't get you what you're looking for.
  14. My buddy wade took his killer to work every day from perry to ashtabula. He ended up hitting a deer with it, and it actually made the thing handle better (he thinks the rake may have been "adjusted" back by the deer and it got rid of a small high speed wobble) no, no problems with freeway flying on a KLR, they are fine.
  15. Gay rights, I'll concede that, for ->against ->for that's pretty flip floppy Gitmo, I don't believe is a flip flop issue as much as a logistic issue... I think he's still trying to work on that one. Pot, I'm not familiar with any flip flopping here, I know he smoked some as a kid, but I don't recall him suggesting a policy change (I could be wrong) Transparency, it's a nice buzzword, nobody runs on a platform of a more secretive government, do they? Civil liberties, we'll have to be a bit more specific.
  16. well you can't just make a general statement and then walk it back when called out on it... Republicans are quite capable of blocking every single bill the president has proposed, and for the most part they have. McConnell and Ryan have made the republican congressmen's intentions clear. The republicans in congress didn't want to balance the budget, they didn't want to spur job growth, they didn't want to make life easier for working folks... no, none of that... they wanted to make Barack Obama a 1 term president... plain and simple this is the statement you're hinging your argument on... That's a broad brush you have there....
  17. Never heard of a filibuster huh? Also, with a republican majority in the house, they are quite capable of blocking anything.
  18. Not looking too good for Dr. Flip Flop McEtchasketch... one day out.
  19. If you're going that new, you should definitely have a warranty as well as lower interest rates.
  20. Japan's big 3 are hard to beat, (honda/acura, toyota/lexus, and nissan/infinity) but if she's like me, she'll want something a little "different" than what everyone else is driving. Cars are safer than ever, and those mishaps are what insurance is for. I say go for it.
