  1. Avon storm 2 ultra (first time trying this tire, but my old angel ST or diablo stradas never had a problem like this... even after 10-12k) 32 psi up front I'll check the pressure when I get home, and maybe boost it up a little to see if it has an effect.
  2. no recent drops or crashes, tire is about 6000 miles old (so shouldn't be worn yet) I'll go home and check all the things listed here. no steering stabilizer (never needed one, very stable usually)
  3. Recently my 01 CBR1100XX has gotten a wobble or a shimmy in the front wheel at low to medium speeds. I can see it in the bars, but not feel it so much. Used to be I could hit the throttle lock at 35, and stretch my back out, lean back and just shift my weight to make minor corrections in direction. Now if I try to leave the bars at low to medium speeds the front end wobbles back and forth almost putting the bike into a tank slapper situation. Any ideas what I should check, and in what order?
  4. Ask your doctor if prilo-viag-nexi-ambien will cure your depression, ed, gout, rls, and insomnia... don't you think if you have these problems your freaking doctor would know what medications or treatments to prescribe? Why are idiot consumers supposed to make suggestions to healthcare professionals? it's retarded

I was hopeful to the end... as usual. maybe they'll do better next week.
  12. no problems on mine, and they are dim as hell, and definitely not legal distance... they just wanted to see that they were functional.
  13. not sure why I didn't think of that... if i fabbed up a set, and put them just past the balance point, I could bring it up without the fear of looping... excellent Idea
  14. Thanks, I've seen that before, but most of that isn't exactly applicable to a XR200r
  15. anyone think there is a benefit to letting some air out of the knobbies?
  16. point taken, I'll get working on it.. I'm also considering lengthening the rear axle to put pegs there...
  17. lol, yeah, I'll definitely be tearing into that rear brake soon...I'm thinking it needs some new shoes
  18. You just bought a house, you wash the bike, add some Sta-bil and store it in the living room where it belongs...
  19. I'm not going fast enough to need the rear brake just yet (if it goes over, I just put my feet down), I figure if I can get control over it going slow, going fast will be easy in comparison. I can do power wheelies on the XX, but I never get it up high enough to where gravity doesn't bring it back for me.
  20. It's just a skill i'd like to develop... maybe someday if I get good I can parlay it into a paying side gig...
