Medina
http://www.medhelp.org/general-health/articles/The-25-Most-Common-Causes-of-Death/193?page=2 Top 25 ways to get offed in this country. Doesn't break it down into age groups, etc, but interesting.Might just keep the scooter another year, and walk less...breaks it down into a top 25 sort of thing. Seems fat and stupid is more dangerous than motorbikes. Go figure! #12: Motorcycle accident Odds of dying: 1 in 802It's no surprise that motorcycle accidents are on this list. Riding a motorcycle is an infamously dangerous activity. The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) reports that 4,762 motorcycle deaths occurred in 2009, a 10 percent decline from 2008. #11: Pedestrian accident Odds of dying: 1 in 623But trading two wheels for two feet is not any safer. Statistically, you are better off riding a motorcycle than walking on a busy street. The three U.S. cities with the most pedestrian fatalities per 100,000 residents every year are Atlanta, Ga., with 10.97, Detroit, Mich., with 10.31 and Los Angeles, Calif., with 7.64. Pedestrian fatalities are more likely to occur in large cities with heavy traffic. #10: Assault by firearm Odds of dying: 1 in 300America is the gun violence capital of the world. According to FBI crime statistics, there were 9,146 murders by firearm in 2009. Like death by accidental gun discharge, death rates for assault by firearm in the U.S. are also disproportionate to similar countries. It has the highest rate of firearm deaths among 25 high-income nations and more disturbingly, the overall firearm-related death rate among U.S. children under age 15 is 12 times higher than the death rates of these 25 high-income nations combined. Medina
Sounds like they should be teaching Gun Safety in our Schools. I could NOT possibly agree more. Driving training-health courses-stranger warning classes-classes on dealing with bullies-classes on what to do in a fire long list of valuable classes and to ignore firearms is just plain wreckless. My lady friend during her tenure as a reservation doctor used to hit the schools (PER state request and mandate) to teach kids HOW to put a condom on! yeah, imagine a good looking asian 30 something with a banana and a condom three classes a day, once a week...wtf america...My son was raised around firearms (I make custom guns) he has next to zero interest in stroking a gun, and he knows full well they are tools and how to handle them. You should see his buddies come here and shit themselves...even had ONE mom refuse to allow her kid to come here...cause, you know..I have like free range guns. and shit.I had one escape last year, and I think it ran off with some fast and furious types, wound up in mexico..just can't trust them yanno
