McConnelsville: will reach around 12:30

As per the map, will try to end the ride close to 70 / 77 area, so if needed people can jump on it and head home.  if still making good time i plan on sticking to back roads all the way back to millersburg

I will plan around of any one interested. I am planning on leaving home by 5:30ish to make it to millersburg by 10. Go down to seo and back again to millersburg by 4:00 ish then slab home to reach before 9.

UPDATE: Awesome Ride

pulled in now, Man i am never doing this stupidity again, By the time we hit mcconnelsville i was dead, Just couldnt ride at all afterward. Thats why asked you guys to go ahead while i stick behind. And that lead to lot of confusion by messing up the route,  :(  I did not look at  how much miles i put in. If Derek ended up doing 443 i should add atleast 300 to it considering the back and forth miles  :( Cant even move a muscle.

Nice to meet you all again guys. And for first time in 4 yrs i meet gump. He is silent just like me, we should have done many miles while i was there  :D  Todd thx for coming out just to meet all of us.

All awesome riders, Jack even though ur new to riding u did an outstanding ride, very lvl headed and smooth ride.

Finally, Sorry to leave you Pauly while ur baby was down, if i sticked around more i would be pulling in at midnight. Dont wanna be riding through the D on saturday at that time  :D

Derek if you have footage of me put putting around 555 like a blind old man not knowing where to go dont post it plz  :D  I just wanted to get to 676 to cut you guys loose.

Route will be fun all the way down and back. Planning on hitting some new to me roads which are newly paved as per one of the seo guru Drc 32 :D Pace will be moderate as this will be like my first twisty ride in a year, since all i have is exit ramps and handful of turns on 200 mile runs over here :(

I have Tims 636 in the garage when I get the itch to ride on the street.

Ryan blames this all on you actually. You went and did a track day which made Ryan want to go do one and then he convinced me. I think we were in Florida this winter at Jennings, he looks at me and says, "You know this is all Nivins fault right?"

Just checking to see if any one still up for ride this saturday ? >>>SNIP<<<. I am planning on leaving home by 5:30is to make it to millersburg by 10.

If I had more of a heads-up, I might have joined you for the ride down TO Millersburg....

I like to make time on the slab, but I-75 south from the murdercity into Ohio is getting to the condition that I'll waste time on the secondary roads not to have to endure that stretch of highway

The past two weekends included all-day bike outings & there's too many unfinished springtime projects to go play on the bike this weekend!  Plus I've got more wknd outings coming up next month....

p.s. Don't know your route, but they were re-surfacing Rt603 where it intersects Rt96 west of Ashland a couple of weeks ago when we were thru there, hopefully it's finished now.

hahahaha, i see discussion from ryan like, lets do track day in florida on the way back we can do track day in mid ohio etc etc. Its like track hoping, man thats some serious addiction. :)

Not sure who's going to join the Newark group, but if nobody does I can meet you guys in Millersburg......and if you need help finding the best route from Millersburg to SEO, I'd be glad to navigate. I know all the best roads from Millersburg to McConnelsville.

Even if some one joins ride by millersburg,  :)  83 to 78 is always a golden passage down, is there anything to beat that?

Haha...that's a good ride. But yes, there's alternate routes that are, in my opinion, better.

62-60-541-79-16 (for about 4 miles) -668 (one of my favorites) -93-216-78  That's one hell of a route, and then you could take 78-83 back North or vise versa.

Well Doc.... got a couple of different routes....

If I remember correctly from previous posts, you're n. of Detroit..

  • not very many options to avoid that potholed cesspool until you get s. of Lincoln Park
  • I run Dix-Toledo(exit#34A) s. until it merges w/ Telegraph & run that s. to Erie rd.(about 8 mi s. of Monroe)
  • turn left(east) on Erie & continue past M125(Dixie) to the I-75 connector(about 1 mile)
  • turn right(south) & merge onto I-75 south to I-280 east to exit#7 ( Rt 2) or Exit#6 ( Rt51)
  • otherwise, you CAN always slab it (the median lane is the only smooth one) to I-280 east

From Rt 2

  • Take that to Rt19 & run that south all the way to Galion where it merges w/ Rt 97

  • continue on 97 until it ends at Rt 3 south of Loudonville

  • turn left(north) on 3 & take that to Rt 39 in town

  • turn right (east) & Millersburg is 15 miles down the road!

From Rt 51

  • 51 s. to US20
  • 20 e. to Rt 53
  • 53 s. to US224
  • 224 e. to Rt 61
  • 61 s. to Rt 603
  • 603 s. to Rt 39
  • 39 e. to Millersburg
