Any Laptop Deals on the Cheap this week?

Need one for the wife and one for the son for Christmas (some social media, music and photos.  But we do have a 2 TB external for our photos).

 

Any help for an old dude that don't know crap would be greatly appreciated.

 

Looking for under $300

 

If you haven't done any research, what specs should I look for, and any good places that have big sales this week?

Check out micro centers reverb deals, I've bought two in the past and never a issue with them.

I bought an hp 2000 from walmart over a year ago.  out the door with a 3 year warranty for $330. Its good until I try to do video editing or data processing programs, then its a bit slow.

Is the capbility to burn CD's pretty much standard now?  I can't find where it states that it can.

I have some used ones for sale. Completely reloaded. Most HP's. Core 2 duo for $125-$150. i3 or i5 are $200-225. Those are about 2 years old. HP ProBook business laptops. Decommissioned at big company. Completely reloaded with Windows 7 Pro x64. Valid sticker on bottom. I have a few left.
