Seems that there a lot of Ohio Riders who are also into cutlery. So, what the heck, how about we get a little knife pron going?

Post a pic or video of a favorite knife and why you dig it!

I'll go first. Yesterday I ran across a Kershaw 1480 Nakamura that I just couldn't leave in the case.

It has a 2.88 inch clad Japanese VG10 steel blade, Mokume bolsters (19 layers of stainless, copper and brass) and a 3.88 inch Quince Burlwood handle. Has a perfectly offset removable clip, measures 6.75 inches open and weighs 3.2 oz. The blade is wicked sharp and the centering dead-on.

I won't use this knife for hard tasks but will probably make it my main carry folder for a while.

Thanks! They're no longer made and really hard to find, so I guess some folks are gouging on the price but I got mine for less than half that. I couldn't believe I found one in a gun show case among hundreds of synthetic knives. I was just about to get a mini-griptillian until this one locked my eyes.

Here's the edc drawer of my night stand, lots of kershaw in there, a few crkt and a smith and wesson.

And here's a few shots of my fanciest knife, wife got it for me back before we married. The brand I think is bear and sons. Damascus blade, stainless bolster and stag horn handles. Holds an edge really well but is impossible to keep rust-free

A couple of bayonets from my collection.

Because guns with knives attached are just that much cooler.  I recognize your bayonets and display a couple of my own.  Granted the ones not permanently attached to my guns.  :)

And for the guys that are really just here for the pocket knives. My two EDC knives.  The black Kershaw is a true damascus blade.

There hasn't been a true damascus blade in centuries. The exact recipe for the steel and the exact technique are lost to the ages. You do have a very fine billet welded blade there tho.

I suck. I only have a few no name knives that I picked up at a gun show. :(

Quit while you can. It can become an expensive obsession. Fortunately I'm really happy with my CRKT M16 and SOG Flash 1 for EDC and been able to avoid buying any for a couple months.
