ScubaCinci
Beechmont Motorsports (Cinci area) is hosting it on Aug 21-22. I'm definitely going to ride the FJ09
MichaelS
I really want to make it down for the Cincy one.

ScubaCinci
I rode the Vmax last year...that thing has serious power but my knees didn't fit well with the tank/scoops.
JustinNck1
I gotta find one near me. That FJ09 looks awesome.
MasterOfPupets
I'm planning on hitting it up to give the FJ09 a ride. Will depend on the wife though.Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Wojo72
Anybody from CBus going to State 8? I'm trying to talk myself abusing some demo bikes.Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
ScubaCinci
Good luck with abusing them...the rides are guided with a leader and a sweep to make sure no one gets a hooligan hair up their ass. They ride at a slightly illegal pace and warn against holding back so you can goose it to catch up.
MasterOfPupets
Unless my wife decides to go into labor, I plan to head down there first thing tomorrow. Anyone else going to stop by?
blue-yamaR6s
Stopping there this afternoon.
Disclaimer
I've never done any demo days -- what type of line or wait is typically expected? I'd like to hop on the R3 and R6, maybe the VMAX, time permitting.
Wojo72
No clue about Yamaha. The Harley event that I went to I could have ridden a different bike every 30 mins if I showed up right when they started.Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
ScubaCinci
Last year I got there early and was able to ride 2 bikes back to back and could've done a third if I had interest. Certain bikes (the fz09) were starting to get a waiting list but many of the others were open.
MasterOfPupets
I want tk give the FJ09 a ride, other than that I'd probably give the vsat 950 and r6 a ride given a chance, but not really something I care aboutSent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Wojo72
I want to try a VMax. That has been a holy grail bike for me. If it sucks I'd like to know so I can find something else to fixate on. blue-yamaR6s
Got to ride the FJ09 first. Coming from a sport bike like an R6 it was way different of a bike. I personally didn't like it b/c it was too soft, too upright of a seating position and I felt like I couldn't connect with it for some reason. It has some other modes for settings on the electronics too. The next ride was the R3. I was surprised at how upright it sits. It was a little gutless in the low-end throttle until you got up in the power band around 4K. After all, it's just a 300. Coming from an in-line 4 motor, it wouldn't be a bike for me. Too used to the smoothness of the R6. The last ride was the FZ09. It was awesome and I liked it the best of the ones I rode. It is built on the same chasis and has the same motor as the FJ09 but different seat and plastics and it's geared a bit differently. It sits more upright but keeps you wrapped into the bike tank with the seating position so you feel a part of it. It was pleasantly surprising and the price at State 8 was not bad for a new bike. The sales team were all raving about it. One noticeable thing about all the bikes seemed to be the snappy throttles. That bugged me a bit. Don't know if that's a simple adjustment or not or if that's just the way they all are. That's all I had time for but they really want you to ride only 2 demos to give others a chance to ride. If they are not too busy they will let you ride more. Some people rode 4 rides. If you get a chance to talk to the truck driver he was a wealth of knowledge and fun to talk to. He's been lots of places recently with the demo and just from Sturgis, SD doing demos for a whole week there. If you get the chance to go it was worth it having never done it before. Nice seeing NinjaDoc and Alzheimer there too!!! Sorry I didn't stick around to see you come back on the last ride.
buck_i
Drove past that area on my way to the lake. If only it was another weekend.
ScubaCinci
A lot of the FI bikes seem to have snatchy throttles anymore. My ST does when in sport mode. Nothing a Power Commander can't fix
Wojo72
Rode the FZ09 and FJ09 today. The VMAX wasn't in the rotation. I was disappointed in the FJ09 but the issues could probably be adjusted away. Clutch, suspension, etc Watched two women drop bikes and get yanked from the lineup. Wojo72
R3 and FZ07. The R3 hit the ground. I'm not sure if the 07 went all of the way over. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
