This is mostly what a few of us from Columbus are planning on - we're planning to arrive somewhat soon after opening to sit on bikes and talk with vendors without massive drunken crowds. As such, we might not be able to connect with other Ohio Riders unless it's at a landmark in the IX at a certain time or for a late lunch. Anyway, you should really give the shittier establishments a try. They will let a LOT of things slide that 'classier' joints won't. I'm not talking about any back-room shenanigans, I'm talking about just being a loud a-hole out front. We may have ended up at a trashy place after a softball game, and our manager may have taken the mic away from teh DJ and announced/commentated over 2 or 3 dances. It was hilarious. A large group of my friends got caught in a rain storm in DC, and we ducked under the awning of a strip club. bouncers said get in, or get out - so all 12 of us went in.
