ICEMAN Posted May 5, 2007 Report Share Posted May 5, 2007 i dont think i already posted this....i now own 2 cars and 2 bikes... a 2005 Chevy Colorado ZQ8 Sport, a 2000 grand am gt coupe (green2kgt), the 05 SV1000s and now an 89 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 (ZX-10)...picked up an 89 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 (ZX-10) in columbus. only 450 bucks... yes, thats it. dead battery, but we jumped it and she runs like a champ!!!! the guy dropped it at 25 mph on a really muddy road, so its really dirrty and only has cosmetic damage!! this thing onloy has 20,000 miles. suspension is perfect and engine is perfect. needs new plastic and a good clean-up. this thing is sweet... not too bad lookin for an 89... going to polish the frame, the rims, and get her sanded and repainted, but first im going to tear it COMPLETELY apart and clean it and clean the carbs. then ill polish the frame b4 i put her all bacl together!!! ill keep pics posted of the progress.... in good condition with the amount of miles, its worth 2400.... so i cant wait to get her done and get some offers, but i dont think ill sell it!!!this SOB weighs 600 pounds dry, its a BEAST!!! lol... 4 hour drive home from Shawnee, ohio with that thing, didnt go over 70, mainly stayed at 65, got 20mpg hauling the bike and 21mpg empty.... so thats good!!! Nice find. $450 is a helluva deal. ive got sooooo many different ways to go with this bike... im not sure. the frame looks like an I-Beam with another indent in it in the middle, im thinking about using body filler and makeing the frame look smooth like a new bike.... then gettin it painted, not sure though!!! maybe giving it the new ZX-14 white/red flames paint job....
