Can somebody tell me what a voltage regulator do on a bike? :I bike runs fine then after riding all day it dies out. It stays running so it is not my battery or my stator. Could it be my voltage regulator?

I hate having a stunt bike I work on it more than I ride it....Its wierd you go down at 70 and shit brake....Its a honda it should not brake
