Winter Bike Projects

I'm just curious what kind of winter projects people plan on doing with their bikes. I know even when I can't ride mine, I can't leave it alone so I'm constantly working on the thing. I have kind of a long list of things for the bike and have started already:

1. Clip-ons

2. Black Stone Tech wheels

3. Galfer wave rotors

4. Barnett Clutch plates

5. Radiator Fluid change

6. Valve check and/or adjustment

7. Race tech fork springs

8. Fork oil change

9. Fabricate carbon fiber fairings

It's gonna be an expensive winter but I'm working plenty of OT to finish the job and then some.

I think I'll leave my R6 the way it is for now...

But, I've got major plans for my NSR-120RR mini racer!

1st thing, getting custom fork springs made to handle the added weight up front

then going with a Kitaco 125cc SE Ultra kit

An oil cooler

larger oil pump

Full floating front brake

26 or 28mm carb

new clutch

maybe an alum swingarm

some bling stuff...

This is what she looks like now...

powdercoated swingarm frame subframe wheels engine cases, Paint the the plastics. Upgrade my hid's. Possible dual seat conversion, and pee cup conversion, braided steel brake lines.

Just get it all chrome man, you can match me, lol. Forget the paint and cover that thing in fur

^^^ yeah thats about the only thing I havent done to it yet. With the way I clean chrome is out of the question for sure. I do however need somewhere to hang my bike to get it down to a bare frame. whos in??

I'd love to try to make an aluminum swingarm - always wanted to do something like that. Have all of the needed equipment; milling machines, lathes, welders, etc - just never had a bike that needed one.

If you'll buy the aluminum stock, I'll make it for you. Shouldn't cost too much at all.

Have any good pictures of the OEM swingarm that I can see?

Larry, there is a good chance Dustin might help you but you would have to ask. Thats a pretty major job. Hey since you said you want to upgrade your HIDs, will you sell your current ones to me? I want the same color you have and it would be cheaper than buying new. Do you have the thin ballest? Why do you want to upgrade? how much better can you really get?

Im going to switch to a 6k. I dont have the slim ballasts but I can show you where to put them. One of the ballasts is on the fritz im sure jarvis could fix it though.

Oooooooo. I guess I wouldnt want to mess with a fritzy ballest. I need the slim ones so I can save some weight comapred to the bigger ones

Oil Change

rear stand

new pipe

windscreen

braided steel lines

frame sliders

leather suit

leather gloves

Not sure I'll get to all that but it's the wish list as of now

Let me know if and/or when you're going to get lines for the bike. Since I put the R1 calipers on I might need some R1 lines. (mine work for now but I think I'll want to change them anyways.) We could maybe work out a trade. You get me the R1 lines and I'll give you my lines plus a set of Vesrah pads!

Teamwork yea!! :fruit:
