TimTaylor751647545500
After my vacation in Maine and having a chance to do some kayaking while there and then some more in the last couple of weeks here locally, I decided to give it a try and picked up a new toy for next to nothing. Looking forward to getting the rest of my gear and getting out some before the season is over this year. 13'3" long and might weigh 30 lbs http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSCN4359.jpg

TimTaylor751647545500
I live pretty close to Hoover Reservoir, so I'm probably going to get a lot of paddle-time in there.
BloodRed
Nice grab. The wife and I will be more than likely picking up a pair of kayaks soon as well. We love going kayaking and did 14 miles up at Mohican this weekend.
TimTaylor751647545500
I can't find very much information on this one other than it was the predecessor of the Perception brand and was made in the late '80s. Name on the deck is Riverchaser.
RedRocket1647545505
I'd love to get into it, but I just don't have the time.
verse
I've been a few times at Traper John's. It's a blast, you're arms are so sore the next day though.
87GT
+1 on sore arms Sweet find. I like to go kyacking with my parents at their house on charles mill lake. I don't do it often enough though, but when I do I am out on the water for good 4-5 hours.

zeitgeist57
Do you really need to license that thing?
wnaplay1647545503
Picked one up as well this year. Very relaxing to get out on the lake early before the boats hit the water.
TimTaylor751647545500
Took the kayak out today for the first time and snapped a few pics before I left. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSCN4370.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSCN4371.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSCN4372.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSCN4373.jpg And you're probably wondering why I'm back so early. Well, this kayak is a piece of crap. It doesn't track (go in a straight line) for shit and it will randomly just spin you around for no reason. It's too hard to control and it's basically just a pain in the ass to maneuver. I won't have this one very long and I'll be looking at better ones right away. Berto
Do you really need to license that thing? Yes, me and my dad got ticketed the first time we went out. We didn't know you had to register a 10 ft long piece of molded plastic. With that said, we are selling ours, my dad can no longer go kayaking and I just have other hobbies. His is sold already but mine is still up for grabs, has paddle, bungee, and a half skirt and full skirt. It tracks great! rediculous. shit doesn't even have a serial number.
